As I live many miles from my condo, it is very important for me to have consistent, accurate and timely communication — and they have never let me down! It's great to know you can text, call or email and receive a timely response! Simply put, they are professionals at what they do.
Their cleaning is done with standards that has my condo look as if "I did it myself"! I have used them over the past summer with rentals and have never had a complaint — that is not the experience I have had in the past! I really appreciate their eye for detail. If something looks awry and may cause a problem, Lacy lets me know — it saves me so much in potential complaints from guests. Despite all the other positive reviews, I had a horrible experience with this company from cleaner, to the cleaning, to the customer service. If you do end up hiring them, make sure you read the terms of service and know what both parties have agreed to.
I scheduled a deep cleaning for a ~900sqft house, which they suggest 4 hours and I allotted up to 5, saying I'd be fine with going over if needed for a good clean. The cleaner came, worked his way through house, and I mostly stayed out of his way checking in once or twice to see if he needed anything. He came to me at the end and said that he was done, took his stuff, and left. Everything seemed to be tided up, aside from just throwing all the trash into a pile on my deck. I looked inside the fridge, which I asked to be cleaned when I booked and he said he would get at the end, to find that it was not done. I then started taking a closer look at the work to find many things left undone, baseboards, furniture, tops of cabinets, ect. It also turned out that he skipped one of the rooms entirely, aside from some small organizing. I then went to the website, took a screenshot of the list they have for what is done for a deep clean. I then marked it up with all the things done and not done (18/58 items not done, and many of the ones that were, weren't done at a high quality). I then e-mail this to their support, who then tries to get me to pay to get additional people to come finish the job their employee said was done. Also, they said they I was going to be charged 4 hours since that was their minimum. I then took a screenshot of their terms of service, which says 3 hours is the minimum. They then say that the cleaner was there for 3.5 hours, which seemed not right to me. I ask for his clock in and clock out, which was 3.25. After some phone calls and more e-mails of them trying to get me to pay them more money for someone to come finish their own job, I sent the direct wording of their 100% guarantee, again in the TOS, which says they'll people at no charge to finish anything that wasn't done on their list. Eventually they did offer to honor their agreement, or give me a discount on the work done, however it took 6 emails and 3 phone calls to get there.

I was need for move-out cleaning services and used the Yelp app for quotes. Initially, I was impressed with Eloise's cleaning responsiveness and found the price quote to be reasonable. I came in town for a very short period of time and appreciated Eloise's cleaning fitting me into the schedule. Bottom line. Date of scheduled service the cleaning crew didn't show. I waited an hour longer than the allotted time frame they gave me. I texted, called and no response. Somebody called me the NEXT day and said "sorry". Unacceptable.

My apartment complex hired a team to come and do a move in clean for me and they were quick and spectacular, I figured I might as well use them to do my deep clean of my common area/downstairs of a duplex. After going back and fourth via email I was told it was at minimum 4 hours of labor time for a deep clean, you cannot get any less even though my house did not require that downstairs, and I agreed and scheduled.
In the comments I made on my initial booking and verbally to the cleaner I said I wanted 4 hours maximum and that when she is finished with the main floor to come upstairs and do the rooms up here. That did not happen as she decided to sneak out early without even checking in. My entire house shakes when the doors are closed and I only noticed when it 11:20-11:30 that she had left early when she was supposed to stay until 12:10. So I missed out on the required hour of cleaning and I have had cleaners before, none of them just sneak out they usually say thank you or even send a text that they are leaving let alone close a door and more their equipment out so softly.
On top of that, multiple steps on the checklist were forgotten – the baseboards merely dusted when they should have been detailed and dirty counters were the first things I noticed, but realized under the cushions weren't clean and the house simply did not smell like anyone had cleaned anything. Not to mention, I had an entire floor she could have cleaned with the remaining time.
I reached out to complain and was sent a new team to fix the job and assumed finish the time as the initial cleaner left early. The clean to fix it did wonderful, but I was charged for them coming.
I was not made aware they were not completing the time rather fixing what was not originally clean, so a few days later I received a charge for another hour of cleaning. When I called to have this reversed it began as there was two of them and there was 3 labor hours, I did not ask for a team to be sent to me and I figured they were finishing the time that I initially paid for. Then it became I had them clean the two bedrooms upstairs, well of course I did since I had remaining time. I asked for a refund for the last hour where the cleaner left, the same charge amount that it was to have them re-clean. They told me they would speak to the owner and call me the next day, but 48 business hours later I have yet to hear anything.Bottom Line – They are a hit or miss in the cleaners, but their customer service and time limits are ridiculous. My downstairs did not take one professional cleaner three hours to clean especially for as poorly as it was done.

Eloise's Cleaning Services are about as good as it gets when it comes to a cleaning company. Nathan and Lacy are true professionals. They came out to actually see our home prior to our first appt and I was able to customize our service to fit our needs and get a custom quote. Nathan and Lacy actually came to the house themselves for our first cleaning session and now we are on a bi-weekly appt. with the same person each time. We've worked with many cleaning companies in past and always had issues with late arrivals, multiple teams in and out without knowing who's really in the house, etc. The Eloise's team is always punctual and you always know who is coming in advance thanks to their appt. reminder emails. I have been using Eloises cleaning services for over a month now after having the same cleaning provider for over 10 years. I am very pleased! You will not find a nicer owned company than Eloise! Nathan and Lacy are seriously the nicest business owners ever. They emailed me during the hurricane to make sure I was ok. They really are amazing people.
However, the services… They do a great job, but things get missed. I have hired them twice and unfortunately things have gotten missed each time. Not a huge deal, but also a little disappointing.

I discovered East Coast Cleaning after a disappointing, overpriced service from Merry Maids. After posting an ad online, Brooke contacted me, and promptly came to my house for a consultation with her sister. They created a custom program for my house, which includes a thorough general cleaning 2x/month and ironing, linen changing and other chores on occasion, if I ask, and I could not be happier! In a house with a toddler and a dog, she has been key to maintaining our sanity/cleanliness.
Brooke has all of her own cleaning supplies and equipment, is prompt, responsible, polite, and considerate. On numerous occasions she has corresponded important information (such as a leak in the guestroom toilet I never would've noticed had she not caught it!) over email, which I love, since I am nearly impossible to reach by phone. She is also comfortable working around pets – including our 80-lb. yellow lab.

Cons: I requested a deep cleaning but after the team left and I was able to look more at their work I wouldn't define what they did as a deep cleaning, just a regular cleaning, however I paid for the deep clean at $350. I found dust on some of my shelves and blinds, and a lot of surfaces were still sticky. High up places were not dusted or cleaned and I found some cobwebs. I assumed deep cleaning meant every nook and cranny. They only spent about 2 hours at my house. I think the team could have been more thorough. I'll probably try a different company next time around.
I also noticed my master sink drain was broken after they left.Pros: Very quick and easy communication, worked with my schedule conflicts and were definitely flexible as far as that is concerned. Very friendly staff. Did a good job on the baseboards.

DO NOT USE!!! We are putting our house on the market and because my mother is terminally ill, my husband decided to pay someone to clean it while I was away. Because he doesn't know what is appropriate, he agreed to pay this woman $900… that's not a typo…NINE HUNDRED DOLLARS to clean an empty house. The furniture, everything has been removed. There was no trash. It was dusty from construction. We have an open house tomorrow'sam here re-cleaning it. She quoted him for wiping down the inside of new cabinets and they haven't been touched. The kitchen sink hasn't even been wiped out. I'm literally in shock.

He responded quickly, gave us a great deal on what we needed (stairs and 1 room with carpeting cleaned for a move out), and was able to fit us into the schedule even though it was pretty short notice. Wanted to support a local business and needed carpets shampooed in a rental before we moved. Found Green Steps on Yelp and decided to request a quote. They were the first to respond and the price quote was so reasonable. At that point, with their 5 star review, it was a no brainer. I booked them 3 weeks prior to service date and they showed up as we discussed. The owner showed up not just on time but was very respectful and did AN AMAZING JOB!!!!! We have 3 big dogs so it was not an easy task. Very affordable. Totally recommended! I hired them a few weeks ago to clean house before putting it on the market to sell. They ended up focusing their cleaning on less important things so several things I was hoping they would clean weren't even started as the head cleaner warned me the bill was $375. I told them to stop where they were. Apparently the areas I had told the office I wanted done was communicated differently to the crew. And the areas they supposedly clean were not what I would consider clean. If we were to remain here in Wilmington I would never hire them. 2 stars is generous. The ladies were nice but need to have some common sense.

Over the years I've had many cleaning services in my home – some only once – so I have no qualms about expressing my opinion on their service. I started with The Maids about a year ago and they have done an EXCELLENT JOB on every visit. I'm a "work-from-home" professional and have little time (or energy) to devote to housekeeping, but The Maids keeps my home clean and presentable. I look forward to their visits.

The person who did the blinds made them look like new, but the kitchen & baths: there is a difference between "looking" clean and being so. I had the carpets recleaned after The Maids, by Stanley Steemer, and that was worth the extra cost.

Service came in and cleaned the house and left a window open with no screen and my cat jumped out the window. Took hours to get him back with help of neighbors. The cats leg was injured. No credit was given. Accidents happen so I had them back. An unprofessional team comes in and states they are only cleaning the first floor. I just had the first floor done. I need the 2nd floor. They refused, gave me and my dog a attitude and left. My fault for allowing them to come back. Demanding a credit. Find a company that is animal friendly and hire professional individuals to come into your home.

The Red Team Led by Julie and her team, Martha, Charlene and Trista has made us believe in a maid service again. We have have used both types of maid services in the past, single maid and a company like The Maids. But after a short period of time we have had to part ways. NOT The Red Team, they do an outstanding job. We have never had a concern or an issue with their service. Those of you who have or had a maid know how impressive that is. I would recommend the Red Team led by Julie to anyone looking for a Good House Cleaning Team. You will not regret it!

The Maids have cleaned our home monthly since October, 2016. The team always shows up as scheduled. There are usually four including the team leader, Julie. They are pleasant, listen to my instructions about our cat, then go right to work. We love their organized style of cleaning. Every member of the team knows their job and does it well. Our home is deep cleaned at each visit.
Of course mishaps can happen to anyone. At one cleaning, the lid of a vintage sugar bowl was broken. We usually leave when they are here, so Julie left me a note to let me know. The owners of the company, Barbara and Paul Ott, went out of their way to make things right. When gluing the lid didn't work for Paul, Barbara hunted down an exact copy. They sent a whole new (well, not new because it was vintage) sugar bowl and lid. I was pleased and surprised.
I would recommend this cleaning service for their professionalism, expertise and the fact that they care about their customers. I have used another service which didn't come close to fulfilling our expectations the way The Maids does.

We have been using the maids for 5-6mos now. They have a team concept (Color coded: Yellow, Blue, Green, etc). This has advantages to knowing the same Team Leader comes and has familiarity with my house. However, as different teams may cycle through, each team has their own "learning curve". With that said, we have been particular to what cleaners we want used, areas that we do not want cleaned (office has papers scattered but organized), etc. They have provided very good cleaning for standard items (sinks, floors, toilets, etc.). They get all the smudges off my refrigerator. There were some items that we requested be done: how to make beds with hospital corners, cleaning cooktop with our cooktop cleaner, making sure our vent register cover was in place after cleaning. They have been responsive to the feedback in effort to correct the items. It just takes time as each team comes to show them our expectations.
We hope to keep the service for a consistent period of time, so quite accepting of going through this process as I see their response.
They have always removed their waste and supplies and placed trash in our garbage container.
Should you just want a "one time cleaning", I recommend reviewing items prior to their conclusion. The workers appear to really want you pleased, but there are different expectations among their customers. I have found they are VERY responsive to feedback and do every effort to correct. Their past team with team leader, Kyndra, proved that, correcting all the items requested. Her team gets FIVE STARS.

I am giving The Maids a single star because they were able to accommodate the cleaning of my rental home on very short notice. After seeing the quality of their work I can see why they were available.
Upon inspection of my home after the cleaning service it quickly became apparent that the only services performed were a quick vacuuming of my carpets and a half hearted attempt at moping the floor. The cabinets in my kitchen were still covered with dust and grease residue, the window sills throughout the house were still filthy and the carpets still had considerable amounts of animal hair present.
I contacted the owner share my displeasure at the quality of their service. She stated that she would send the crew back to correct the issues. The crew returned but didn't remedy any of my concerns.
I cannot recommend the services of The Maids of Wilmington and will personally not use them again. This is experience was a $289.00 lesson learned.

We are new to the area, but not new to cleaning services, although this was our first time with The Maids. The yellow team showed up a few minutes early, were cheerful and professional, and did an excellent job. We had other people doing repair work on the house at the same time, but they worked around all the foot traffic graciously. The price was comparable with other cleaning services in VA and MA, but the depth of the cleaning was far better.

The Maids of Wilmington is a terrific cleaning service. I have been using them for six months now. This is the only service that I would ever use to clean my home. They do a terrific job. I have two dogs, two children, and very bad allergies. When they are done, my home is spotless. My allergies are under control for the first time in years! I would recommend them to anyone who is in need of a maid service. They are professional, thorough, and their customer service is excellent.
