We ordered a cleaning for my mothers' place. The cleaning was great but my wife and I had to pay double. We handed them cash when the job was over but then later they sent us a bill for another $107.00.
I emailed them back and said that I already paid. They said they had no record of it so I would have to pay again. I refused to pay again and they literally threatened to send my bill to a collections agency. So I paid again and this time I took pictures so they couldn't screw us over again.
These are obviously shifty workers who don't report that they were handed the money… or they owner is shifty because of charging double.
I would recommend that you use a different cleaning company.

The cleaner was late, and was really bad at their job. I have to clean again after they cleaned, they didn't clean the bottom of anything or any surface under kitchen bottles/chairs/bed/small mats. And for the floor near table legs/walls, they also didn't clean, it's like the cleaner was only pushing the dirty things on the floor to the little crack between wall and floor. I wanted a cleaning person to clean the corners and the little gaps I cannot clean well myself but apparently their cleaner also didn't know how to clean those places. I doubt that they even try to clean the difficult places. I don't understand how can they charge 32+GST per hour for such poor service.

Not impressed with the job they did about a month ago on on our vacation rental. Showed up an hour late so couldn't possibly do a good job in the time they had. Crumbs were found by vacation renters on the carpet that should have been thoroughly vacuumed.
Although the code to the house was sent twice they still texted me to find out what it is and the 1st time, they had trouble just opening the door! Once was enough with Kyla Cleaning.

I admit I don't communicate my negative feedback as much as I should–I loathe complaining. However, I knew after a few visits that this company wouldn't work for me, despite the fact that the cleaning was good. First off I had my husband stay home from work so that he explain and demonstrate instructions to the cleaner about how to shut off the rotators in our Miele vacuum so that they wouldn't damage our silk and wool carpets. We happily paid for a half hour prior to the actual clean because this was important to us. That cleaner found our house too big and a different few ladies came instead and that info was not shared with them. They used their own baggless vacuum and our rugs are damaged and need repair. Other things annoyed me like unplugging lamps to plug in a vacuum and not plugging the light back in, or pulling out the sink stopper and not getting it back in properly so we can't plug and unplug our sink anymore…little things I should have mentioned but don't want to spend my time complaining (irony here of course;). When something was broken the cleaner alerted me right away and they were very accommodating. I just felt like I needed a more personal clean. Starting with a cleaner asking me what I want cleaned instead of telling me what they offer…

The house was virtually empty, the carpets had just been cleaned, it was about a 4 hour job max, and they took all day.
$535 to dust an empty house and clean 3 bathrooms, and the kitchen cabinets?
Communication was bad, they said they tried to phone but were "unable to leave a message" it was not true, they just didn't want to
My real estate agent said that his agency charges $60 for two people per hour.

We listed our home for sale and spent a week preparing and staging for the open house. To help ease the stress my girlfriend was feeling, I hired a cleaning service to help get our home ready to show.
I checked here on Yelp and there was only one service with good reviews. It was very expensive, but I thought it would be worth it to help ease my girlfriend's stress.
When booking, they told me that the minimum booking is for 2 people for 2 hours. As we didn't need that much cleaning done, I assured them that would be lots of time to clean the entire place. Still, they suggested that we prepare a priority list to ensure they hit all of the necessities (this could be a CYA list or a measure to ensure regard to detail where most necessary).
We provided the list and paid (over $250 for 2 hours of "cleaning") only to discoverer that:
1) they didn't clean the bathroom floors – not on the list, but really… do I really need to put that on the list?
and
2) They didn't do the #1 thing on our list!!!I called and spoke with them and emailed multiple pictures to show that the job was not done. She asked me "well, what do you want to make you satisfied?" At that point, my girlfriend had already done the cleaning, so I left it to her to make it good.
She thought about it and offered me a 10% discount on our next cleaning…
So… they didn't do the cleaning they were supposed to do and charged me over $250 for it and then to make it right they offered for me to hire them again and pay just slightly less?!?!?!?
VERY unprofessional both in services offered and in how they do business in general.

Victoria Merry Maids did an amazing job on our house. They didn't just clean it from top to bottom. They tidied up the whole house. When we decide to sell our house we will have the Merry Maids in to make the place look and feel ultra clean.

I hired Merry Maids this week to clean our rental apartment. The results were less than I hoped — their cleaning work just didn't live up to the company's $65/cleaner/hour plus tax price tag. The young woman who cleaned the stove forgot the pan drawer, for example, and the young woman who cleaned the bathroom didn't see taking some hair from the drain catcher as part of the job. In fact, there were a few "we don't do that" answers when I asked about stuff like that. I was frustrated that the two individuals came and left at different times. And that neither was in charge, they didn't know one another, and they didn't seem to have been briefed on what was required, though the office had asked for this info. Especially frustrating is that the Merry Maids office had noted my credit card number when I made the booking, and then, without asking me whether the work was adequate job or whether the cleaners had spent the hours they claimed, charged my card for their service. NOTE TO SELF?-Don't count on the "satisfaction guaranteed" claim. Next time, I'll look for a company more interested in their product. If I don't find one, I'll pay myself to do the job because my cleaning is better than theirs.

We just had our living room area rug cleaned by Dri-Way. They did an awesome job as usual but I wanted to mention their new service in these COVID times. They contacted us as a returning customer and offered to clean our area rug in our home and listed all the great safety protocols that they use. They also offered an alternative service to have our rug picked up and delivered from our home They provided a great shipping package dropped off in our mailbox with instructions on how to package our rug for pick up. The courier came and got it. When the rug was cleaned and refreshed it came back well protected in similar shipping packaging.

Mindful Maids Honest Reviews
We had booked Mindful Maids to do a badly needed cleaning for a Friday, and they were supposed to arrive between 12-1PM. At around 12:30, I got an email telling me they weren't coming because of the Covid-19. Seems to me that we could have been told much earlier, which would have saved us a ton of difficulties. I understand cleaners not wanting to go to people's houses, but I have difficulty with the timing here! I would say that communication between the well-meaning owner and her crew should be improved.

Booked a July 29/2020 move out cleaning at the end of June to be sure to be covered. Everything was great until the day before….received a phone call with voice mail informing us cleaner was sick and unable to come and NO offer for replacement or alternative to help. I called office and after a discussion the office manager was able to contact cleaner and confirm that it was just a nagging cough and she would be there in morning as no one else would be at apartment.
July 29/2020 @ 0705 – text informing us that our 0800 cleaner would not be arriving and they were sorry they couldn't help.
I texted a reply and then called 3 times and left voicemails requesting immediate replies as our damage deposit was on the line and we were both scheduled to work because we had confirmed so far in advance for this cleaning. We DID NOT RECEIVE A SINGLE REPLY…..in fact we are still waiting for a response 9 days later.
Promised us exactly what we asked for and needed but bailed at last moment and then simply refused to reply or offer any alternatives at our most vulnerable time…..the day of the appointment.
