A few weeks ago I noticed some lint on our lanai and thought that it was time to get our dryer vent cleaned. We used Black Diamond a few years back and was impressed by Tyler's work and attention to detail so I asked if he would be willing to clean our dryer vent once again. Almost immediately we set up a date that worked best for us both.
Bonus: I was in the process of sealing our bathroom grout as it needed a fresh coat and asked Tyler for any recommendations. He suggested that he could do it no problem! Perfect – Kill two birds with one stone!
Once again, Tyler's price point (for dryer vent cleaning and grout sealer application) was far better than quotes I received from other companies. He arrived promptly and diligently executed both jobs in a very sanitary method, especially during this COVID-19 pandemic. After he was finished, he cleaned up both areas very well. You know how sometimes people say you get what you asked for? Or even better, you sleep in the bed you made. Well that's exactly what happened to me the other night. Now that things have finally loosened up with the government controlling our lives, I turned to my wife one Thursday night after dinner and suggested an idea. Truth is, I had been thinking about this idea for quite some time but it took a lot of courage for me to finally come out and say something. It all started a couple weeks ago, I started a new job. To be honest, the job is just okay but the people are what encouraged me to take this. I had this feeling when interviewing that I would really like working with these people and they would inspire me to evolve and overall, improve my own personal life. It's a really small team, probably the smallest team I've ever been a part of. Total we have about 4 people who work at the office and 1 part time employee who travels from Las Vegas to the office so he only has to come in 3-4 days a week. The other guys are so great though. They've all been in really long term committed marriages and you just get the sense that they are overall really sharp men who stay true to their roots. When interviewing they shared how they all get together every Thursday and sometimes Tuesday's of it works for their schedules and have dinner parties. They even said they make enough food so that it lasts the rest of the week and they have it for lunch together. The office invested in a microwave as well so it's nice because you can heat your lunch up before you eat it instead of having to eat it at room temperature. Anyways, I got the offer a few weeks ago and the pay wasn't great. They also didn't have benefits included in the package but that's fine because my wife actually takes care of that for us. She is a licensed school grade teacher so she can help with basic health needs. My first week I started realizing that the food they were making at these dinner parties actually smelled and looked good. I came home on my second day and was sitting on the porch with my wife after we fed our kids dinner. This particular night was interesting as my wife was insisting we go out there and sit but because it was pouring rain, I was a little hesitant. She told me she had a prize for me and showed me she bought me one of those portable hats that have umbrellas on them. So I couldn't say no. As we sat out there, I was telling her about my new job, my colleagues, their traditions and overall friendship. I was explaining to her how much I respect what they have going on and she encouraged me to insert myself and offer to host the next dinner party. She even said she would be interested in meeting and learning more about their wives so she allowed me to extend the invitation to them. The next day, mind you… day 3 of the job… I told Jike (my boss) that I had something to propose he sat me down in his office lobby and offered me a croissant that he made the night before. As we were enjoying our tea and edibles, I told him that we wanted to host the next dinner. He told me he was open to it but had to talk to the other guys. Later that afternoon, they had a meeting to review and come to find out they approved. The only issue was that they had the party scheduled for the following day so I immediately called my wife and she was very stressed but said ok. She and all of our kids pulled an all nighter to clean our entire home and make sure it was presentable. Our guests came over the next night and unfortunately Lam who is the senior administrator programmer for a little loose and had finished close to 6 bottles of wine just by himself. I knew something bad was bound to happen when he started to loosely hold his glass of pinto and lord and behold, he spilled his wine. I was shocked. I immediately had to kindly ask everyone to leave. The next day was called this carpet cleaning company and it took them hours and close to 5 representatives from their office to come and examine the stain but finally they were able to get rid of it. Never again.

Can not recommend this business enough. I'd give it 10 stars if possible. Tyler did a WONDERFUL job. I had another cleaner lined up that didn't show. Tyler not only showed up on time, he confirmed the appointment that morning versus me chasing him down like my previous appointments.

From the get-go, Tyler has been awesome!
He was recommended by many of the other people in the military housing area we live in for move-outs. We filled out the questionnaire on Yelp and he responded with a quote really quickly. Tyler is the most cooperative vendor I have ever dealt with. He responded quickly to my messages and was cooperative in changing the date to accommodate another service that needed to be done before the carpet cleaning. Our windows need cleaning and lubrication about once a year. It is a nasty, messy job that I HATE doing. The cleaning is not so bad but the lubrication, ugh. It's a greasy mess. Our house has about 40 windows so man, there goes a whole Saturday. Somehow lubricating windows just isn't as satisfying as say, watching the entire series of Stranger Things in one sitting.
So I said last year, there must be someone who can do this. Enter Black Diamond. Craig was quick in responding. He came out and did a quote and it was reasonable. Not cheap. But reasonable. On the quote, he gave me a couple of options in case I wanted to save some money and do some of the work myself. That was great of him. But I said, I can't do the work. I'll be watching Stranger Things. Craig was very pleasant and easy to work with.
Anyway, he and Tyler showed up on time and they went to work. They had estimated it would take pretty much the entire day but they were done in about 4 hours. The ugly, and truly gross black window tracks and screens were nice and white. The window mechanisms were glistening with silicone (when I did it, they were always goopy and dripping). It was totally worth it.
Why not 5 stars? A couple of little issues. First, some of the screens were reinstalled backwards so that you have to go outside to remove them. Second, they washed some of the window exteriors AFTER they cleaned the window tracks. So when I opened the windows after they left, the bottom track was wet and dirty and I had to wipe them down again. If they fixed these issues, they would definitely be worth 5-stars.

We are very much satisfied with the work well done on our carpet. They didn't guarantee that pet urine stains will be completely removed but they did their best. The odor was gone and the stain much lighter.

Black Diamond did a fabulous job today shampooing our carpets, including stairs to a sunken kitchen. Tyler was quick on the bid, gave a fair price estimate and was very responsive in all communications. He arrived on time and worked independently and diligently, not stopping until he was satisfied with the quality of the job. He advised that some of the stains and bleaching from our DIY cleaning attempts might not come out, but the result appeared to be a brand new carpet. Clean-up of all equipment and hoses was perfect. Requested quotes from multiple companies for military housing move-carpet cleaning with flea/tick treatment at Halsey Terrace. The entire top floor (minus bathrooms) is carpeted (3 large bedrooms with closets, a linen closet, hallway, and 15 stairs.

I looked through Black Diamond's great yelp reviews. There are a lot of 5 stars for a reason. I asked more detailed questions (I have a dog- bad mix with carpet), and was given honest responses promptly. I was contacted with an exact time for arrival, and Tyler arrived Exactly on time. I mean he pulled up to the house Exactly at 3 pm (I was walking the dog trying to get back before he arrived, so I know- exactly 3- you can't be more on time than that.
Tyler was super polite, quiet, and got straight to work. 3 hours later he completed the job. I did a walkthrough- everything looked fantastic. To be honest- the carpets looked better than when we moved in. (No they couldn't get rid of the impossible dog vomit stain from 3 years ago- come on, lets be reasonable- but the stain did look much better!! and the myriad of other stains were magically gone!
It's stressful when you hire someone based off online reviews- especially when you're moving in less than a week and the work has to be done and done well (at hopefully a reasonable price). Black Diamond was so reliable, they kept me informed, their price was very reasonable, and I just felt such relief to have one less thing to worry about. I just had to write this review right away to spread the word.

I used Black Diamond twice before and did a very good job so decided to use their service again. Contacted thru Yelp at the end of June and got an appointment with Tyler for 07/07 9am. Got a text on hour before their scheduled arrival to reschedule. Things happen. I understand. He said he was available all day the following day so rescheduled to 07/08 9am. We moved all of our furniture and waited for Black Diamond to show up the next morning but they NEVER SHOWED UP. Waited til 10am. Sent them a message thru Yelp, called several times and left a message, texted the number also but no reply.
I understand that things happen and appointments need to be rescheduled at times. But as a business I believe it is their obligation to inform the customer if they are able to make it or not and need to reschedule.
I did not want to write this review right away so waited 10 days but absolutely no response from Black Diamond. Sorry to post the first 1 star review but hope you understand the trouble and inconvenience.

1) super quick reply and showed up the next day for cleaning. I scheduled my appointment with them quicker than 1/2 the people that even replied to my message.
2) price was lower than all the other quotes I got. Some other companies wouldn't even give me estimate or quote unless I go to their website or call them… Wtf? All I want is my carpet cleaned…
Their minimum charge is also lower than other companies minimum, so If you got a small job that needs to be done these guys will also be the ones to go too.
3) they did an amazing job cleaning my place!! You can tell by the pics my place was bad… My apartment was basically a storage for a bunch of stuff and things got pretty dirty…
Not sure what else you need when looking to hire carpet cleaners. I honestly thought my carpet was a lost cause…. And now it feels like a brand new apartment.
I will definitely be using them again if I ever need to hire carpet cleaners and letting all my friends know too!

Tyler cuts to the chase. He responded right away, I asked for a quote and he gave me a price for several rooms including living room and hallway. Once I decided he then gave me his earliest availability that worked for our schedule. He confirmed and booked the appointment. He showed up on the day and time ready to service and clean our carpets!! I will definitely be a customer and refer him to any of my friends and families!! What was most amazing and remarkable with Tyler in communication we did it mostly by texting to eliminate all the non sense questions and concerns I may or may not have had. Trust worthy! Reliable! Where do I begin? First and foremost when I sent out inquiries for carpet cleaning, Tyler was the first to respond. Not only did he answer the questions that I had regarding a quote but he was incredibly thorough with what his company does and how they do it. He worked out a reasonable day and time for the carpet cleaning and it was all done within an hour, 700 or so sq ft. town home. This company is amazing with communicating.

These guys were fantastic from start to finish! I messaged a handful of companies for quotes on their services. I wanted my stairs steam cleaned, my sectional sofa and an area rug cleaned. This company was the first to message me back with a clear cost estimate based the services I asked for. I was super excited to see that they also offered deep cleaning for tile and sealing the grout so I added that as well. Tyler scheduled me right away on my preferred date at the time I asked for.

We were looking for help with housekeeping. The first company failed to show even with a Yelp appointment confirmation. I recontacted modern touch to schedule. They showed up on time and did a great job. We plan on using modern touch on a regular basis.

On May 25th I reached out to Rosa to book an appointment, very specifically, for July 5th. Knowing that it was around the holiday, I wanted to make sure that I had a confirmed appointment for a full deep cleaning of my house prior to my guests arriving on the 6th.
She gave me a quote and said that would be fine.
I emailed her on Thursday June 23rd to reconfirm the appointment on July 5th. She confirmed 10am on the 5th that day.
She reached out on June 30th to ask for a phone number, which I provided minutes later.
11:22 this morning (July 5th), I called her phone and left a message asking where she was.
11:39 she texts me saying she is running behind and she'll be here in 20min.
Around 1pm she starts asking me clarifying questions about the work that is needed to be done as she is short staffed and thought my house was going to be empty (I clearly told her what the work was, she gave me a bid from it). She asks if we can reschedule to tomorrow, and I politely respond in the negative. She prioritized her vacation rental jobs instead of mine. I told her that I didn't care when it was finished today, as long as it was done today. After a short back and forth for additional clarity, she responds that she'll be here in 20min.
4:30pm I text her asking if she is okay and that I hope she wasn't in an accident.
It is now later that same evening and I've heard nothing from her since around 1pm – she never responded to my 4:30pm inquiry. She appears to have ghosted me, and my guests will not have the sparkling clean home that I was intending to host them with. (also, my wife made me agree that were I to have a boys weekend, I'd get a cleaning service so she didn't have to do it… gonna have to reconcile that one later).
While I can understand prioritizing repeat customers over a seemingly one-time job; had she done a good job I might have made it a regular thing.
Rosa didn't even give me a chance to try to find a different cleaning service by continuing to say she'll be here in 20min. Not that I'd likely have much luck finding same day service, but had she canceled my appointment I wouldn't be writing this review. Life happens, you get curveballs, you end up short staffed, you get a flat tire. But, as my Mom fighting cancer would say, "You put on your big girl pants and do the adult thing." She didn't. She led me on. Then she ghosted me. That's just patently unacceptable for a small business.
As it stands, I cannot comment on her/her teams work. However, her organization skills are significantly lacking, her communication is not up to modern standards, and I would 100% stay away if you are looking for a one-time job. If you have a vacation rental looking for a new service, be warned that she'll likely prioritize existing customers over new ones.

Terrible time management.
I was extremely disappointed with this service and frankly, I was ripped off.
Read on if you want details!
I requested a deep clean for my 2200sq ft house. We have 3 dogs and I was upfront about that. They quoted me $180 for the whole job. $35 an hour with TWO girls working on our space. I asked on the phone if they could include the fridge and the stove as well as change the sheets and just get the laundry going. They said it would be no problem. They showed up promptly at 9am and I showed them around and made it clear what my priorities were. Once we seemed to be crystal clear about what I was looking for, I left to take the dog out for a hike. 45 mins before they were supposed to leave I get a call from the office, saying that they wouldn't be done and they needed another hour of time to finish.
I was shocked… Yelp humans reading this, I'm telling you, the house was not that dirty at all. I deep clean it myself on my hands and knees every two weeks, we vacuumed just a week ago. Sigh, been a hard week and I just wanted to treat myself this time…
I said please have them hustle, I'm on a $200 max budget for this and I just don't want to go over that.
I came back and after TWO and a half hours with TWO girls working on the house and they had only clean the floors in half of the house and the two bathrooms were clean. That's it…
No laundry. No kitchen, no fridge, no stove, no dishes, no living room, no dinning room, no dusting. Didn't make the beds, didn't even straighten up anything in general on the countertops.
I paid $200 for them to basically move like molasses. What a rip off. I could have easily done this entire house by myself in 5 hours (what I was billed for) and 100% wish I didn't throw my money away using this service.
$35 dollars an hour each worker?! For what??!
Lol I'm not cheap, I was completely willing to pay that for 5 hours worth of work. It seemed like a fair price to me to get a deep clean. But I basically paid $200 for 1/4 of the work to get done. For their workers to be frankly lazy. Slow, unmotivated and bicker with each other in front of me.
Still tipped them anyways… but this one hurt.

TLDR; I double paid for cleaning because the job wasn't completed the first time.
I called Lily Maid Cleaning to have a move out cleaning done for a 5 bedroom 3000 sq ft home I rented. They scheduled me 3 maids for 3 hours. I called two weeks prior to when I wanted the cleaning scheduled. Within that two week period Lily Maid moved my scheduled time two different times due to double booking and not having available maids. I wasn't upset because I was still able to make it work, but I should have taken it as a red flag.
On the day of cleaning, one of the maids showed up late and left early. She was called to come back to complete the job, but not only was it unprofessional, it resulted in a loss of 45 minutes of booked cleaning time.
Admittedly, I still had things left to move from my pantry and a pile of things in a concentrated area downstairs. I figured the maids could work in different areas while I worked on moving the additional items outside. Instead, one of the maids swept my kitchen for close to an hour while waiting for the items to be removed.
They had the newest hired maid work on the hardest bathroom, In my house. This poor girl worked very hard, but I did have to ask her to give it another look as the quality was not up to standard. I completely understand why she may have been grossed out about the experience, but I believe those grievances/jokes should be kept away from customer earshot. There was a level of professionalism that wasn't instilled from training.
As we approached the end of the cleaning, the maid who swept my kitchen for an hour informed me that their boss was rushing them to get to their next appointment. After the incident with one of the maids leaving early she then informed me that she was instructed to stay until the job was done. That being said, there was a sense of urgency to move on to the next job, because they left right at the end scheduled time.
I did not get a final walkthrough of the house and had to catch two of the maids walking to their cars to say goodbye. At the time I was not upset, because despite what had occurred, I trusted that the job was complete. It wasn't until I went back to the house to finish some patch work that I was greeted by a team of other maids hired by my landlord.
They walked and showed me the missed details such as not cleaning the shelves of cupboards and pantry, the fridge, drawers, and other minute details. While I understand the competitive nature of businesses, the missed cleaning opportunities were objectively bad and I wish I would have taken picture to show. These are the things that could have been done while I was moving some items out of the house. Unfortunately, I did not realize that this other hired cleaning team would be taken out of my deposit though which resulted in my paying close to $1000 total for cleaning costs.
I called Lily Maid for some recourse and was told that I'd receive a call back. I have not received that callback and at this point I believe it is just a loss for me. I would have been happy with a 100-150 refund, which my previous landlord would have matched, bringing my total cleaning cost down. To note, I would have been willing to pay more for the original job for it to be done correctly.
My constructive criticism for the future of Lily Maid: Send someone out to the house for a quote so both parties can have the same expectations. If you have new employees, be in a position to supervise, coach, and train. Dial in your professionalism as a business.

Lily Maid's customer service is top notch! I was upset due to lack of communication on cleaning time and they took care of me immediately. They had agreed on 5 hours and worked 8, but didn't let me know until after they had worked the extra hours so I was really bummed. The new owner called and was so kind. He refunded the difference and gave me a gift certificate for my next cleaning!
The ladies did a great job on the cleaning. This is a rental property and the toilets were so dirty I was afraid I'd have to buy new ones but they made them shine like new!!!

I couldn't be more happy with Lily Maid! I have been very busy with work, kids, and all the social events that are scheduled during the holidays. I have never hired a maid service before, but have cleaned houses for family and friends for years. Lily Maid is top-notch! Mara and Isis were friendly, respectful of my home and things and did a fantastic job cleaning my 3 bedrooms 3 bathrooms townhome top to bottom in only two hours! We were moving and hired lily maid to come clean our apartment that we were leaving. We had a deadline that everything had to be cleaned by. They said it wasn't a problem. We scheduled them, the cleaners showed up and we left and assumed everything was fine. We came back later that day to find that the 6 hours we had paid for turned into only 2. Most of the house was still messy including baseboards, window seals, walls, etc. Everything that needs to be cleaned upon moving from an apartment. They later said that there was a scheduling conflict and that's why they left 4 hours early. What ended up happening is that we had to stay half the night to clean what we had already paid them to clean. They require advanced payment so we will most likely not get our money back. If recommend that you find another company and hire then a few days early so that this doesn't happen to you.

I just purchased a new house, so I requested a deep clean of the entire house by email, including appliances, furniture, carpets, drawers, etc. Over the phone, I made it clear that I wanted the carpets and furniture steam cleaned or shampooed.
There were still cracker crumbs and some questionable yellow goop on the loveseat, and dust on the shelf in the master bedroom and light fixtures. Some of the carpets were vacuumed (not all, as shown by the dog hair still thick in the carpets), but they definitely weren't shampooed (when they called me back after emailing them complaints, they said they do not shampoo anything. If I had known this, I would not have requested their services in the first place). The insides of the refrigerators were cleaned, but the outside (where the ice/water dispensers are) definitely weren't touched, the stove top wasn't wiped down, and the washer/dryer were left a mess. The kitchen drawers were full of pencil shavings and hair from the previous owners, although it did look like at least some of the bathroom drawers were partially wiped, but with very little attention to detail (corners and edges were completely neglected). The empty storage closet was also completely ignored, leaving cobwebs and mess on the walls and floor.
They did an excellent job on the windows, the hard flooring, the inside of the refrigerators, and vacuuming some of the carpets, but that's really all I've seen that was cleaned well. Being that they were given as much time as needed (I just wanted it all completed within a month with no time limit daily), I was expecting much better.
When I emailed them with my complaints, they were very prompt at getting back to me by phone, which was wonderful and very appreciated. I can't remember her name (not Kate, but I believe the other owner), but she said that she would find out when someone would be able to come by sometime today or tomorrow for an hour. She later called me back letting me know that someone would be by in fifteen minutes. Thirty minutes later, no one had shown up. I called (getting the answering machine) to let them know that I would no longer like the person to come by, as I have just been cleaning it myself, and would like a partial refund. I have not heard back from them yet regarding this.
The only reason why I am giving two stars rather than one is the efficiency of the customer service. Hopefully I will not have to modify this, pending their response to my last call. They have thus far been very prompt at responding and very kind. They also left numerous gifts cards for places in the area that were very fitting for a new home.
However, due to the lack of attention to detail throughout the majority of the home, I cannot give more than two stars for the services I received from Lily Maid Cleaning.
Another woman who works for LMC stopped by shortly after I posted this review. She went over the house and found many more problems I did not even notice myself, such as the floor boards being dirty and the top of EVERY door jamb not being dusted. She asked me if they did anything. She reported back to LMC to let them know what she had seen, but she did not stay to clean, at my request, since we were leaving.
Kate, the owner, called me later and let me know that she could not give a refund for the work that had been done since the girls who "cleaned" my home had already been paid. Instead she said the option was to send someone out to clean or just be happy with what I had gotten. Since I now have time limits instead of the previous availability, I requested cleaning within two and a half days since I would not be there after and did not want to inconvenience the person who had helped me the last time.
They were able to send a woman, Jen, out for two hours. For only having two hours to do what the others were supposed to do in 12 man hours, she did an amazing job, actually staying an extra hour since she wanted to try to get as much done as possible. At my request, she allowed me to use her vacuum in order for me to help her clean some too. While vacuuming rooms that were supposedly completed by the first cleaning, I found tacks, grape stems, an allen wrench, and other things that would not have been there if the corners and closer than a foot away from the wall had been cleaned. Jen cleaned as much as she could, but, with such limited time, she could not have possibly done what LMC should have had completed the first time.
I have to lower my rating to 1 star due to the lack of refund for the poor job done initially.

This cleaning service is the BEST! They made my move out a breeze. I simply handed over my move-out checklist and they took care of the rest. I debated whether or not to clean the place myself as I have never used a cleaning service for move out before and didn't want to spend a lot of money.
