Acceptable, not exceptional, apartment turnover cleaning.
It was medium-wear&tear apt, some marks on the walls and and minor carpet stains. After cleaning, there was still obvious dust on the baseboards and crown moldings, and their nearly 3-hour cleaning didn't include vacuuming. The apt did not "smell fresh" after the service. Overall, disappointed for the cost and not meeting expectations.

Sergei and his partner did a wonderful job on my house. I have never hired a cleaning service before but with my very busy job around the holidays and guests coming to stay, it was a great relief to have someone take care of it. Sergei and crew did an amazing job – super professional to work with and our place is very clean. He cleaned both our new home (which was a stinky mess thanks to the previous owner) and our previous place (which had a move out checklist in order to get our deposit back). He even called the next day to ensure everything was how we wanted, and that we had gotten our security deposit back (we did). He was very friendly, arrived on time and very detailed with the cleaning. I will be using his team again!

My wife and I just started having cleaning done in our home and Sergei and crew have been exceptional! We first hired them to clean once, just to try it out, but the quality of their work, their professionalism and their flexibility won us over so they now come every month. Sergei is apparently the owner/manager/occasional cleaner and he does a great job all around. He calls back when he says he will. He accommodates your schedule if at all possible. And most important of all to us, he is flexible as to how often the team comes back and what your priorities are for cleaning. We had heard many mixed reviews of cleaners in general, so we were very wary, but this is an absolutely great company to do business with!

Professional, thorough, went above and beyond to make a dirty empty apartment squeaky clean in a matter of hours! Serguei and his partner are true experts at their craft. They responded to me very quickly, were able to come the next day (I was in a pinch and needed help quickly) and did an excellent job. I needed help fast, and it was a dirty job. Our screen porch was due for a thorough spring cleaning, AND it had received a heavy coating of stone dust during patio construction. Sergei got back to me immediately, and scheduled the job within days, He and his co-worker tackled the job with gusto, got the worst of it, and now I can manage the rest. It's a quality service, they are really nice, and I would call them again and recommend to friends.

I bought a great deal for VTGC through Yelp, which was how I found them initially. I was quickly able to establish contact with Rodney and Kala, who own & operate the company. I immediately found them to be extremely friendly, down to earth and honest about expectations, cost and timing. I was looking for a fast turnaround in terms of getting them out for the cleaning, which they accommodated by coming to my house on a Sunday! On the day of the cleaning, the great communication continued, with a heads up call that they were on their way to the house, and they were right on time. The cleaning took about 3 hours, and they did a really great and thorough job with no detail left unattended. The house was literally spotless when they were done — and the best part was that the place was shiny clean without the gross, noxious smell of chemical cleaning products left behind. I would definitely recommend VTGC to friends or family, and plan to have them come back regularly. Top-notch customer service.

THIS is the conclusion, and it is long overdue.
The degree of mayhem was unbelievable, BUT Jasper did listen and looked into what was actually happening at the company and followed up with me.
He went above and beyond but just too late. Per Jasper, Jessica was replaced. Improvements were implemented to operations management and customer service.
Jessica had refused to schedule a cleaner after I complained in what appeared to be revenge. Jasper also said that we were not a good fit. But, once Jessica left, he reached out to tell me about the changes he was making. I asked and he offered to schedule a cleaning and offered me a discount.
I have a new arrangement now but I would happily try Lime Maids again. I want to try to schedule a carpet cleaning when I have time but it's a new add-on service and I only have a few rugs in my home!
Jasper had refunded me for my one cleaning and has since offered me a discount on my carpet cleaning.
I am really glad that this company listened and made things right. THANKS!

The cleaning was horrible. Only a few stops were clean throughout the house that too, only on what you can see quickly while passing by. No deep cleaning at all that includes inside the kitchen cabinets, windows, basement. Spider webs were all over the place, and insects were still inside the kitchen cabinet. I took a gable even after many people left a negative review for this service. I should have listened to them, but it is my fault. Please do not go with this service. I regret my decision, and I hope the owners are reading this review.

A few weeks ago i went TDY in Vermont. During my stay i rented an Air Bnb and upon leaving i had a "move out" clean scheduled a week in advanced and last minute the other company canceled. So the day before i had to leave i called at least 5 companies and Lime Maids was the only ones to answer. I was a little hesitant at first because of their reviews, but i'm glad i took the chance.
The owner was able to squeeze me into the schedule next day. The price was fair and the ladies did a good job. This company was professional and if I ever go to the area again i will definitely use again.

I'm super impressed. My house looked better in one session than I have ever thought it could.
I had hired an in-home house cleaner to come pretty regularly, twice a month, who I was perfectly satisfied with. But after a series of cancellations by her, and then sickness, I was desperate to get someone into my home to clean it before I was hosting some musical exchange students from out of town.
The place was so sparkling clean, including my chronic-disaster bedroom, I was floored. It's a pricier service than my previous one, but I can tell why, they really do a great job. I would highly recommend you give them a try.

Overall, I do not recommend to anyone. Just moved to a new place that has never been deep cleaned, ever! I asked Lime Maids to come and deep clean everything for $300+ and it was only deep cleaned in a few minor ways, but the whole place still needed hours more work. I walked in and could barely tell what they did. I was very specific in prioritizing certain things that needed a good deep clean, via the internet when ordering and I also left a note behind, they seemed to be ignored. I have spent the last few weekends cleaning myself and wishing I had not spent so much money on a bad cleaning job.

I hired this "cleaning service" for a deep clean and I got more than I bargained for lol. They were in my apartment for approximately an hour, and in that time took god knows how much stuff from me, including an iPhone in my desk, my cannabis grinder, and other paraphernalia even though it's legal in my state and I'm of age. These people are absolute crooks and cannot be let into your homes.

I found Lime Maids on Yelp and was encouraged by the reviews. I hired them to clean my uncle's empty house to get ready for sale. I was told that one person would come clean for a maximum of 5.5 hours. Unfortunately, the job that was completed was so poorly done I had to go back in and re-do/clean the hardwood floors (streaks and footprints everywhere, one room not cleaned at all), re-vacuum part of the carpet, clean the toilet in one bathroom (it was filthy), wipe down doors, outside of cabinets, door frames, and sweep out the garage. I did all this is 2 hours…so my question is, what did the person clean over 5 hours!? After I emailed Lime Maids that day I received a call from the cleaner that she would come and "touch up" the floor…seriously?? Touching up wouldn't begin to solve the problems. I reached out again to Lime Maids asking for a call or email from someone for an explanation and some compensation. I received no response. I'm very disappointed and was looking forward to recommending them as I know so many folks in the Essex/Williston area looking for good cleaners. I won't use Lime Maids again, nor will I be able to recommend them.
After I posted this I did receive a call from Lime Maids where I was heard and offered appropriate compensation. I am more open to giving them a second try at some point and look forward to posting a more favorable rating in the future.

I wanted to update my review. As the comment left by the manager Robin T. said I indicated I did not live in the County they serviced. I lived in downtown Burlington on College Street. That doesn't get anymore main street than that. The man was rude and did not want to schedule at all with me at the time. I see past reviews in the past few years that are similar to my statement made in 2017. I wasn't even asking for a specific date just wanted to see what the options could be as I wasn't in a terrible rush. Hopefully they have improved the customer service. I could have been a great client.

Super rude man answered when I called requesting a cleaning for a Veteran. He grumbled that they are booked until August. I stated that is fine (it is July 17). Was hoping for intake and he grumbled "call back" and hung up on me. Lack of tact and professionalism. Negative stars should be an option.

I would not recommend this cleaning service and did not hire them after the first time. I thought I was getting deep cleaning and in face the cleaners failed to do many basic cleaning tasks including: floors weren't mopped, bins not emptied, stove top not cleaned, vacuuming was spotty and generally a slap-dash job. And no special provisions were made for COVID, I.e., no facial masks. And the 2 cleaners worked side-by-side chatting the entire time rather than working efficiently. Not a company I would recommend.

These four young women did a good job vacuuming and cleaning the refrigerator. They also swept the cellar area behind where the freezer had been, as requested.
However, they left before I got back inside to find lights left on in closets, the heat not turned back down as I had asked, and a kitchen track light unit broken and left on the counter. They had made no extra effort to get embedded dirt out of the breezeway carpet, which my husband easily did with a stiff brush after they had gone. The charge of $408. seemed pretty excessive, given the irritating results.

Four people deep cleaned my house for just over two hours and they did a great job. There's not a speck of dust left, my appliances are shining, and my bathroom is spotless. I recently used the maids to do a deep cleaning of my house. I wanted it done quickly and they were able to adjust their schedules to fit me in. They did a great job and did much more than I expected. However there were a few things that would make me not recommend them to others – they left some items disheveled after cleaning behind them. Many of my plugs had been left unplugged. That is fine but the biggest issue was they left cigarette butts on my lawn. I have no problem with people smoking but it is unacceptable and unprofessional to leave your cigarette butts in someone's lawn. These few things can easily be fixed and I would certainly issue a better rating if that happened.

Don't waste your time or money with this company. I am not the type to complain about service, but nothing bothers me more than feeling I was deliberately taken advantage of, which I did with The Maids.
When trying to book an appointment I was told there was a two hour minimum (because the house was about 15 minutes from the nearest town they service) which I agreed to – no problem. Several days later this was casually referred to as a 2.5 hour minimum, but I didn't say anything about the sudden increase and just let it go.
Everywhere on the company's website cleaning teams are referred to as four people, and the written quote I was given on two separate occasions was for four people at $154 per hour. When the time came, a team of five people arrived with no forewarning that I would now be paying close to $200 per hour (for the increased 2.5 hour minimum). When I asked why I wasn't given any notice about the fifth worker I was told that it was difficult for them to give me an estimate over the phone and that a four person team would have taken longer to do the job, which was totally beside the point.
Three of the five women took a smoking break upon their arrival, a five-minute smoking break for every hour they worked, and then the whole team sat in the car in the driveway smoking and talking for 15 minutes before pulling out. By my calculations, this means I essentially paid close to $100 total for the staff's nicotine habit. When I mentioned to the management that the team left 15 minutes before they claimed they did, it was suggested to me that the "company clock" in the car may have been different than mine. What that has to do with five women sitting in my driveway smoking (while I watched them from the window) I am not sure, especially since we agreed on the time they arrived.
I was also told that if the team worked for more than 3 hours I would receive a 10% discount. By their calculations, I owed them for 3 hours and 45 minutes. When I asked to be charged for what they actually worked (3 hours and 30 minutes – never mind the breaks), suddenly they would no longer honor the 10% discount.
The cleaning job was decent, though they neglected several obvious areas that needed tending to and left some personal trash behind (we found a Redbull can or two in the living room). Ultimately, if they had been at all receptive to my comments or even just agreed to deduct the last fifteen minutes of leisure time I would not be writing this review. Never mind the cost, I felt I was treated in a shady and deceptive manner and like they were just trying to take advantage of me from the start.
Save yourself the frustration and find another cleaning service.
Note: I live in Los Angeles but had this experience while visiting my mom in Vermont, lest anyone should think I posted for the wrong location. 🙂

I used The Maids before a baby shower that I was having for a friend where I had to do some much cooking and decorations that I decided to treat myself and get cleaners. We have 3 bedrooms and 3 baths and they quoted me $310-$380 for the job and said they'd send a team of 5. That seemed incredibly excessive to me but I thought, hey, maybe the house could use an extreme clean any way! They had a team of 5 come for less than 2 hours and when I got home, I was wildly unimpressed.
The floors appeared not even to have been mopped at all. The toilets looked just like they did when I left them. They didn't empty any trash. It looked like they might have vacuumed and then fluffed some pillows on the couch.
They also BROKE a vase that my husband had bought me on a trip to Costa Rica. They left a note and apologized but then I got a FULL bill for $350 with no discount or anything.
Not worth the money, at all. I clean that house thoroughly with compliments from guests by myself in 2 hours or even faster with my husband. Very disappointed.

I have two kids, a dog and live on a dirt road so my house needs a lot of attention. They always over deliver. Definitely not worth the money!
1. The quote was for a team of 4 and a 1.5 hr. minimum charge. However, 5 people arrived and were tripping over one another in the tiny kitchen. Even though I hadn't planned on having 5 people there, I was charged for 5 individuals. That seemed like a "bait and switch" situation to me and I was NOT happy about it.
2. I was expecting an extremely professional job from "The Maids", but I was definitely disappointed in the level of cleanliness they provided. As a person who grew up in the military, my standards are high because I remember the high bar we needed to achieve to pass the "white glove" inspections every time my family moved out of base housing. Consequently, as a professional cleaning service, I expected "The Maids" would be able perform the service I had contracted for with an extremely high degree of cleanliness. They were pleasant and conscientious, but their results would definitely not have passed the type of inspections we went through in the military.
3. Instead of excellent results, the condo was given a quick once-over and much was missed. I don't think anything was rinsed either. For example, I told the crew that I had cleaned the oven, but that everything else on the stove needed to be cleaned. Perhaps they misunderstood what I meant, but I found that the burner grates on the top of the stove had not been touched at all and were very greasy. I had to soak them in ammonia and clean the top of the stove after they left.
4. The cleaning the refrigerator received was similarly haphazard. The underside of the glass shelf above the vegetable bins was not cleaned at all and a sticky brown substance was clearly visible as soon as I opened the door. Additionally, more of that substance was found under the lowest drawer. Apparently, the drawer was never pulled out and the surface beneath it was never cleaned. Neither was the top of the refrigerator. Maybe they couldn't see it, but when I stood on a stool to check after they left, it was untouched.
5. The living/dining room floor was washed by hand and the person who "cleaned" it spent a lot of time on her hands and knees working on it. The tenant had left some "sticky" substance on the floor and it was hard work to remove it. However, I never saw her change the water in her cleaning bucket, and there didn't seem to be any rinsing of the floor afterwards, nor had all of the gunk come off the surface. I had to re-clean the floor completely.
6. Somehow, the sprayer unit on the kitchen faucet "mysteriously failed" while "The Maids" were working in the kitchen. This hadn't ever happened before. It made for a lot of frustration on the part of the person using it and led us to think that we might have to replace the unit.
7. Over all, I was very disappointed in the results. I sent a letter to the office manager who had arranged the contract, but I never heard anything back from the company. It seems to me that in a small state like Vermont, word of mouth advertising and reputation mean a lot, but perhaps this business just doesn't care. To me, the service was overpriced, the contract was factually incorrect in sending more individuals than I contracted for, and the cleaning job was unsatisfactory. I cannot in good conscience recommend "The Maids of Burlington" to anyone.

Wow! Sorry for those users who had a less than stellar experience with the Maids. I've been using them on a regular basis for 2.5 years now and have found them to be nothing but reliable, friendly, and green. In fact Ron and his crew have gone out of their way on several occasions to be accommodating that's one of the reasons I'm a loyal customers for sure. My mother's home is sorta out of the way as well so I understand the process of planning to get the most work done in one day all while considering a gas budget. Give the maids a try, I bet you'll be glad you did!

I read Charlotte's review – but thought 'it's only one bad review' and decided to hire The Maids as a Christmas present for my Mom. Don't make my mistake!! Plus, there are now two bad reviews.
I definitely thought the requirements (4 people for a minimum of 2 hours) were crazy, but it was a Christmas present, so I went for it.
My Mom had always intended to use the cleaning around my brother's graduation when we had guests in town.
First issue: Lack of flexibility in scheduling. We'd suggest one date and they'd suggest a totally different date because 'they were in the area that day'. Isn't it supposed to be convenient for the customer, not the company?
The BIG issue: More than a month in advance we had scheduled a cleaning for a Thursday (which was the date they suggested was convenient for them, we wanted it earlier in the week) and our guests were coming into town the following day.
We don't hear anything from them to confirm the cleaning. We email and call them Tuesday – no response. We email and call them Wednesday morning – no response. I finally call the corporate number to try and confirm if we're booked for a cleaning. I get transferred to Vermont franchise owner Ron who lets me know – oh SORRY, but we can't come tomorrow: 'staffing problems'. And yes, it's the day before a cleaning that has been booked for over a month.
I understand that sometimes a business needs to reschedule, but the absolute lack of communication is what was so appalling here. We were counting on them cleaning because we had guests coming from out of town – and they cancelled on us completely last minute. PLUS, we had to track them down to find out it was cancelled. If they had been forthright and communicated openly about having to cancel, I'd be a lot more forgiving.
Bottom line: never, ever hire The Maids.

I used this service once. As far as cleaning went the were pretty good. However their price was ridiculous and for that reason I really cannot recommend them. For the cleaning I got, it was approximately three times what the mom and pop cleaners pay. This was before I realized what others might charge for similar work. I did call to discuss their bill that was higher than the estimate they gave me. They went over it but ultimately stood by it and I had to pay the full amount. I have never called them again. I stand by my original review. The price I had to pay was significantly higher than what I was quoted.

I was very disappointed with this company. When I called, I specifically asked for certain areas to have special attention: the baseboards around the house, the hood over my stove and the walls (where they needed to be spot cleaned). The woman I spoke with assured me that they clean everything 'from top to bottom'…when I got home, they had cleaned, but it was really what I do on a typical weekend and they had completely neglected the three areas that I specifically mentioned.
Also, my condo is less than 700 square feet and though I understand there was a two hour minimum, I felt that they could have done more in that two hour window with the three people they sent.
When I called and complained, the man's apology was very cold and he only offered me $25 off the service…needless to say, I will not be wasting my money on this company ever again.

After reading these reviews I knew to watch out for smoke breaks. My neighbor hired the crew for her home and sure enough, 2 of 4 women lit up a cigarette outside of our bedroom windows with window fans going. I had to close the windows both times.

I have never posted on Yelp before and this review took me a bit to write, but people should know that we had a HORRIBLE experience with this cleaning service. Michelle came to our home to give an assessment and we explained to her the level of cleanliness that we expected. She assured us that she had very high standards and only hired employees with the same. We also warned her that we had a dog and a cat and would need furniture vacuumed. She gave us a quote and said she would email with details.
It was only when she emailed that she told us the first cleaning would be double the regular cost because it would be a deep clean and take twice as long, which was understandable. I have never been so unhappy with a service. The house looked like it had not been touched. There was still animal hair, the microwave had clearly not been cleaned- it looked exactly the same as when we had left. I took pictures and emailed Michelle letting her know the situation and how shocked I was. She responded by saying that the woman doing the cleaning had had a family emergency and so may have been distracted. She then proceeded to blame us saying that there was too much animal hair and the dog had been running around getting fur on the vacuumed furniture (we had purposely put her in a bedroom and she was still in there when we got home).
She then offered to send one of her "best" cleaners and give us half off a second "deep" clean. The whole experience was absurd. As a business owner she should have known that her employee had had an emergency and sent someone else right away. She also knew we had a dog and had assured us it wouldn't be a problem. Instead of immediately offering to send someone over to actually clean our home she was going to charge us again. I have told everyone I know not to use this service and we bought a Roomba vacuum, which honestly does a more thorough job.

As a VRBO owner I was desperate to find a first-rate cleaner. I'd employed three mediocre services/cleaners that got the house a bad rating on cleanliness! I called Michelle, she answered on the second ring, and was at my house in ten minutes("I'm in the area!") She walked through all 3800 sq. ft., took notes, asked questions, sat down and came up with a very reasonable quote. Then I told her I needed someone the NEXT DAY, I could see the wheels turning, moving one of her 18 employees around, then said "Okay." This woman is a wiz kid, a highly personable professional, and runs a very tight ship. The result has so far been two cleanings, one with two cleaners; one with one. Each time, absolutely flawless cleaning! I just keep my two dogs out of the house once the cleaners arrive — and they don't come back until the VRBO clients are gone. We have a camp, so no problem. I have booked her cleaners for the rest of the season. This has taken a huge load off my shoulders soI am raving about Michelle Nolan! Thank you, my friend, for making my life manageable again.

I bought an old house last year and spent almost 6 months doing rehab on it. Victor was referred to me by a landlord friend who has a lot of painting done on his units, so he knows many of the painters out there.
Victor wrote me a very detailed quote and we negotiated a price. As my work progressed there were a lot of changes and things had to be redone many times. Victor was always willing to work with me. He painted my cabinets to make them look fresh and new. He painted around wood molding, painted my tin ceilings, my walls and many hard to reach areas. He also had great color recommendations. He often worked late into the night and even weekends to get my job done.
Ultimately the job went on much longer than either one of us expected (not his fault in the least) and we had to renegotiate the contract. It was all done with good communication and respect. Victor is extremely detail oriented. He's fun to work with and I now consider him a friend.
I would highly recommend him for your indoor and outdoor painting needs 🙂
