I'd used Lotus in my professional life when I called on them to assist clients with clutter and hoarding situations. They'd always done wonderful work with those projects so they were the first to pop into my head for a personal task.
I had some work done on my home and needed a significant amount to dust cleaned up. Looking at it all, it was hard to imagine how our house used to look in its dust-free state.
Lotus sent one very skilled cleaner who dove right into the job and worked her way through each of the rooms I needed to have cleaned. She did a fantastic job attending to all of the areas that needed attention. There were many areas where little items needed to be dusted and moved to get to the surfaces underneath; she addressed those areas incredibly well, given the level of difficulty of the task. She used a combination of feather dusting (for delicate items), wiping surfaces and items with a microfiber cloth, vacuuming the floors first, then mopping (dry then wet). It was an all-day job but I expected that.
I left the air purifiers going to help dust wrangle as well.
Overall, her work was outstanding. She moved through each room and each section methodically and efficiently. I am very happy with the outcome!

My neighbor recommended this service. They were polite and prompt. However, the service itself was cursory.
I didn't want to be in the service provisees' way so I ran so minor errands in the neighborhood. Ultimately, they just tidied up. It looked fine. I realized that it was tidied and not cleaned until my little, kitty nephew, Magnus, came over.
Magnus has icy fur. He went under furniture and emerged as a dust bunny! Magnus ultimately finished their job and did receive treats. Dustbunny removal should be part of basic service and not require a deep clean.
Again, they are very friendly people. However, I feel that it is a waste of money. I hope their service improved. I awarded an extra star because they are nice people.

I never write reviews but in my shock with finding damage to my wood floors after a cleaning am compelled.
The cleaning was done well throughout the home
in the given timeframe quoted. The two persons who came to do the cleaning were very friendly and listened to our requests when they arrived and I feel they worked hard to provide services in the key areas we requested for the home. I am happy the dust has been taken care of.
However, my hardwood floors were damaged with scratches, gashes (some deep and long) and a dented area nearby in my living room and sitting entryway. The wood floors are a feature of the home with inlay do this was very impactful and comes as a shock to us. I regret trading dust for gashes in the hardwood floors.
We have reached out to Lotus Cleaning with this information and photos and in transparency are awaiting a response.

We used Lotus's reoccurring cleaning services and had the same cleaner (Angelita) for 2 years. I would 100% recommend Angelita specifically for any cleaning service. She was always prompt, incredibly thorough with the time spent, and had one of the most bubbly personalities I have ever met.
It's been emotionally and mentally hard over the last few years with the pandemic but we could never not smile anytime Angelita walked through our door, her energy was contagious. All while being social-distance friendly and safe! She is the 3rd cleaner I have ever worked with and she beats all others by a landslide. Moving out of state and wish we could took her with us!

Girls at Lotus arrived on time and did an okay job but i had requested a deep clean and got a "quick clean" instead. Apparently my duplex only takes 1.5 hours for a "deep clean" but since their minimum is 2 hours, you get charged for 2.
The service was very careless and just not worth the money. We had just moved in and the place was pretty tidy so my guess is they just didn't bother to clean well.

Also if you are wondering about their high ratings on Yelp, right after the cleaning was done i got an email from their staff offering me $25 dollars if i leave a 5 star review. This is not ethical.

This is my FIRST REVIEW ever and I knew I had to write it because my service with Lotus cleaning was AMAZING and highly exceeded my expectations. Pick up that phone and call them now!
This is my 1st time using a cleaning service. I was away on travel for 1 year and 6 months with nobody staying in my apartment. It was severely dusty with hair & dust balls flying around on the floor and in need of a deep cleaning. I called Lotus along with other cleaning company's that I found on Yelp, but Lotus was the best priced in all my search so I decided to give them a try. Yesterday, Joanna came over and was scheduled for 2 and a half hours. I work remote so I showed her what I wanted cleaned and returned to my desk to work. I checked on her 1 hour later and my bedroom looked amazing. No more hair on the floor, no more dirty floor with things being stuck to my feet. My drawers, picture frames, mirrors, everything was spotless! She even cleaned my blinds and windows. I was blown away.
She then moved on to the restroom, which was also dirty and dusty. When she was done, it was sparkling. SHE EVEN CLEANED THE AIR VENT IN THE CEILING!!!!! Which has thick balls of dust and I didn't even have to ask her to! She did such a thorough job that I didn't have to go over things in specific to clean.
Next was my living room and kitchen. She left the very dirty stove SPARKLING!! I couldn't believe my eyes. She cleaned the top of the fridge, inside the fridge, vacuumed and mopped the floor without me having to ask.
I am very fruggle with my money and felt bad at first using a cleaning service but after seeing the great job Joanna did she instantly changed my mind. There is no way that I could have made my apartment this sparkling! I called Lotus back today to tell them what a great job Joanna did and because she highly exceed my expectations I now requested for a MONTHLY recurring service!
My apartment has never been this clean EVER, not even when I moved in 3 years ago. If you need any cleaning done, give Lotus a call because you will be highly pleased.

Worst service ever received in bay area. Very unclean for a "cleaning" service, avoid at all cost as you will have your home end up covered with bacteria even though it might appear clean to the surface. Very disgusting and unprofessional, had I not seen how they "clean" by myself I would not have realized. This was during covid and I asked them to please be careful as well.
And when you suggest them to use the new cloths that you provided, they snap at you and ask you to leave them alone.

I moved out of a 1 bedroom apartment and as items were packed away, I realized I'm a disgusting slob. The shower – horrific. The stove and oven- disgusting. The fridge – no adjective could do justice. For the first time in my life, I decided to hire a move out cleaner because dammit, I'm a grown up!
I was super happy with the job Vilma from Lotus Cleaning Services did for me. In fact, the stove was WAY CLEANER than it was when I moved in. I let her into the empty apartment and we said a prayer together that the dust bunnies wouldn't rise up and attack her (kidding…kind of.) Then I left and didn't have a care in the world. The property manager showed up a few days later and said it looked great!
It was a small 1 bedroom and it took 4.5 hours and I'm not surprised at all, it was a disaster. I'm grateful that it worked out well and I can't praise Vilma enough.

Lotus Cleaning was absolutely amazing, I cannot speak more highly on them. I would recommend anyone who needs cleaning services to go with them. I found them on yelp, and within a day I was scheduled during a time that works for me. Lotus Cleaning sent instructions ahead of time and it was super easy to understand and the payment estimated was very accurate.
Angelita and another cleaner arrived on time and I walked them through all the areas to clean. They finished during the estimated time, walked me through all the cleaned areas and I was so impressed by their work. They cleaned in areas I didn't even know needed cleaning and so much attention to detail. Angelita and the cleaner was fully masked and very friendly. We already set up on-going cleaning.

Two person teams from Lotus have been caring for our 2600 square foot house since last summer (3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, living room, dining room, a couple of offices, no little kids any more), so I feel comfortable saying that we recommend this cleaning service with no reservations. My husband and i are retired and both feeling our age (late 70s), so we began with Lotus by ordering (first) a deep cleaning, then when that went well, we set up monthly cleans. For our house this means washing the floors throughout the house (floors are sealed cement with variously sized rugs), vacuuming, and dusting. Kitchen cleaning means stove top and outside (oven is self-cleaning), microwave inside and out, long stone counters, the sink area, including dishes in the sink, outside the fridge, & some swipes on cabinetry & door/drawer pulls that is messy. 2.5 bathrooms are left sparkling (even with the little folded points on the paper rolls). Bed linens (2 beds) changed (if we haven't taken care of that ourselves). Furniture is fluffed and vacuumed or dusted (not polished) and items straightened up. Sometimes I point out a special task I'd like done that day and if it's not too large so they can't the regular stuff, they deal with it, no problem. Waste baskets & recyling are always emptied, ashes (if any) are removed from the fireplace. Generally the teams seem to have a decent checklist in their heads, doing regular cleaning as well as something that may jump out occasionally, for example, cleaning the mini blinds on the front door without my asking. I have the sense that one cleaning team may leaves notes for the next.
Generally, we found the Lotus teams to be professional and capable and efficient. 2 people take 2.5 to 3 hours to clean our place. They bring their own cleaning stuff, including a big heavy vacuum for carpets. I make sure I am here to greet them, show new teams around, and point out particularities (e.g. that my husband usually cleans his own office, or a guest bed needs making up). Before they leave, they always ask to have their work checked. Anything that needs a little extra is quickly done. Then I say 'thank you' and email the office, saying who was here and when they worked. I provide feedback and ask them to put their services on my credit card (they keep that information) and send me an invoice. I have a receipt in less than an hour.
I have learned not to expect a specific cleaning team: so far different every time, and often different from the names provided when I confirm my appointment. Confirming btw is important. I learned this the hard way (once I didn't confirm and nobody showed up). So far everyone who has come to clean has been cheerful, professional and efficient. And I appreciate not having to deal with the vagaries of scheduling and sudden changes. Once a cleaner whose partner had a last minute problem brought along her teenage (?) son: I was wary, but this lad turned out to be sweet, quick, smart, and professional, so I no longer worry about such matters. Lotus has staffing very much in hand. btw everybody Everybody comes fully masked up.
A final aside, at least one team member always speaks excellent English–I specifically asked for this, as my Spanish not good.
The experience of working with a professional service like Lotus versus with the single, independent cleaner, who becomes almost like a member of the household is different. I have grown to prefer the professional service (more reliable and far less hassle; no worries about undocumented workers or benefits/Social Security; and the comfort of having the Lotus office easily available if a problem occurs on my end). This is an excellent service company!

My house needed a serious deep cleaning. Lotus Cleaning had a very thorough and easy online signup. The ladies who showed up (on time) to clean my house were pleasant, super hard working, and did a marvelous job. I particularly like that they use green and unscented products; my husband is super allergic to fragrances, and he never sneezed once; but the house is fresh and clean.

It pains me to write this because I truly value the hard work and energy it takes to clean someone else's home. My complaint is not with the scheduling or attitude of the company, all of that was great in the beginning. Unfortunately heavy duty cleaning products were used in my home and there was damage to several of my things. I won't get into the small details of what was wrong with the cleaning but the reason I'm writing this review is because of what was done to my stove top. We recently purchased our home and saved up a lot of money for new appliances. It was a huge accomplishment for us. I was shocked and very upset to see that my stainless steel stove top was cleaned with harsh chemicals that ruined it. I've attached photos. I complained to the company and they have been less than cooperative. I would highly recommend you go elsewhere. I was so excited to have a clean home with little effort on my part and what I came home to was a disaster. I don't wish this on any working mom who relies on this company to lighten the load of housework every once in a while. They did an amazing job. Definitely would recommend you to stop looking and book with them. No deposit required and they don't take payment till their job is done and you are more then satisfied. They also arrived an hour earlier then scheduled.
I reached out to them to clean my mother in-law home. Erica was really prompt, professional, and friendly. They had good pricing and the response was almost immediate.
I was able to book them within the same week which was perfect and she was very accommodating to me when I took a little longer to confirm my appointment. Erica guaranteed me I would still be able to book and to take my time and just contact her with the confirmation. We Will be using them in the future for any cleaning needs.

First good things: They were responsive and easy to schedule.
Bad things: The quote I was given changed once they got to the house even though it was an empty house with just a few pieces furnitures in it. There was one cleaner and they said it would take all day. She started at 930am and finished 230pm. The house looked clean at first but it actually wasn't once I started looking around. I wanted house to be deep cleaned before I moved in. I agreed to the higher price because they said they would clean the windows too. However, after the cleaner left, I checked the windows and the frames, the doors, and above the door frames, they were all still dirty. Floors were not mopped. I basically mopped the whole house, cleaned the windows, above the doors and door frames, and counter tops again.
I would not recommend this cleaning business if you're looking to get a deep cleaning. If you're okay with them just sweeping the floors and do a superficial job, go ahead.

So I caved and used the yelp feature to get a few quotes and Best Bay Area Cleaners got back to me quickly and were very kind. They were able to book me the next morning so I can expedite my move. They couple that came to clean were super quick but THOROUGH. When I say thorough I mean it too. They cleaned things I didn't know needed cleaning! They even mopped their way out the front door to avoid outside shoe dirt from remaining on their walk out. I'm working from home now so I can maintain the condo myself. Just completed a whole house deep cleaning and everything was indeed spectacular.
They arrived on time and with a supervisor to set the parameters. The supervisor returned at end for walkthrough and encouraged us to speak up, but nothing was wrong.

I am sad to have to leave this review, but I had a terrible experience with this company. I had them come out to give me an estimate and we agreed on a price for a weekly cleaning as well as a schedule. They told me that the first time I would have to pay for a deep cleaning but then after that I would have the weekly price. The deep cleaning was extremely expensive… it was $600. I was OK with it because they were going to do a weekly cleaning for a half that price which seemed like a fair price. However my place had been professionally cleaned a week prior so I know it wasn't that dirty. After they finished that cleaning and I paid for it I asked them when they were going to come back and they didn't get back to me. After I sent multiple messages to the office they finally told me that they don't have availability on Mondays. They declined to provide me with other availability. I think they like to lure people in with the promise of a low price for a weekly cleaning but then what they actually do is have everyone do a deep cleaning and then ghost on them. That way they can make twice as much by continuing to do deep cleanings. It's incredibly dishonest and I wish I had known better than to hire them.

Fast forward 6 years and I am happy to report Eliane has cleaned three different places I've lived in the Bay Area. She has literally NEVER missed a day of cleaning, even when she needed to travel! While she was gone she had her well trained team continue to clean my place just like always- texting the night before to remind me that they would be there. I found Eliane and her team on Yelp and requested a quote for a one-time move out clean via their website. I got a response pretty quickly with a quote and set up a time & date for her to come by. She asked me to provide some cleaning supplies for her which I found strange, but when I told her that the apartment would be completely empty she said she could provide said supplies.
Note that I wasn't there in person for the appointment (my roommate was) for the following experience. I e-mailed her with my roommate's number the day before our appointment and told her to please call him if she was running late. We had an appointment set at 9am and at 9:30 we hadn't heard anything, so I called their main line (no response) and then e-mailed her. At 9:45 she called my roommate and e-mailed me that she had given her helper the wrong address, and showed up shortly after.
First off I'll say the cleaning was done decently well. There were some lingering stains on the shower floors and water stains on the glass shower doors but nothing super crazy. However our roommate let us know that apparently cleaning windows was an extra cost so that was not done – I would assume that for a move-out clean everything would be included. This was also a letdown as our apartment was a corner unit so two full walls of the apartment were floor to ceiling windows.
Overall Eliane's team did do a decent job cleaning, but unfortunately I did not have the best experience and wouldn't hire them again for the price.

I've used Eliane twice.
The first time her helper came, and he just did an OK job — he did miss several areas.
The second time he did a very good job, but it took a very long time — over 6 hours to clean my 2 bedroom, 2 bath.
Eliane's pricing is odd. She gives you a range, but then both times when the helper arrived, she said it would be over that cost range.
Moreover, she was much more expensive than our usual cleaner (Lotus Cleaners in Oakland), and you have to provide all cleaning products.
I also find it odd that she only accepts cash…

Eliane herself is wonderful. She's professional, punctual and does a great job. She has another woman who she works with who is also amazing. She is kind, thorough, spends a great deal of time on every room, so that it all looks pristine when my kids and I get home. Let's face it, lots can go wrong when folks clean your house. Stuff like that just doesn't happen with Eliane's Service. No surprise broken heirlooms, house left unlocked, nothing that makes me grab my head and say "OMG I could have done this myself better and for free!" like I usually do.
Prices are fair and communication is good. If there's something extra to be done, I communicate that in advance or in the confirmation text exchange that happens, like clockwork, the day before the appointment.

Silvana always asks how the clean was, even after more than a year of her team coming every week, and her cleaners ask you for feedback in-person if you are present at the time. They are quick and efficient. The attention to detail is excellent. The pricing is fair and more than reasonable. We consider them part of our family! I just saw the owner's response and was appalled at how much she was lying. The workers LEFT the stove in that condition, my mom was the one who cleaned it off. I even texted the owner about it, despite her reply claiming they came back to clean it, when my mom was the one who cleaned it. (See pic for screenshot evidence) The cleaners later returned to finish scrubbing the stove vent as they missed it during the first visit, but the stove side (as pictured) was cleaned by my mom after the cleaners left. Funny how the owner says 'Sorry your mom can't speak English' when I can barely comprehend the owner's response due to said lack of 'English'.

I live out of state and I was able to work with Silvana through text messaging. She sent over her team (Rina) and they did an amazing job throughout the house! Theft and deceit.
The cleaner threw away/took about $300 worth of my stuff. A nice pan, a set of knives, dinner plates, bowls, cutlery, a cutting board, a rice cooker, a crock pot, a stack of art and paintings, a vase, the power supply and remote for my TV, and irreplaceable items.
I explicitly said to leave them, in text messages and on the phone, and instead my things were either stolen by the cleaner or were placed in a garbage bag and thrown away. The trash came the next day and now it's all gone.
I offered to have the cleaner refund my cleaning fee, and I would not pursue further action. The cleaner refused.
To top it all off, I was told I "should have been there." That implies that my presence is required to prevent theft. Nice.

This is the second time I've used Silvana and Cleaning Nation's services for a move-out cleaning. Due to logistical issues with our move this time, we were just there to let Ana and her assistant in before we had to leave.
I'm mortified by the condition our house was in…working parents of young kids may know what I'm talking about! My time to clean was always compressed into moments here and there. I was sent photos of what our rental looked after Ana and her assistant were finished and I'm absolutely amazed by the magic they worked on our home. I regret I didn't use Cleaning Nation services regularly to prevent it from getting into the state it was in.

This is the exact reaction we received when we called about these issues: a combative argument about who's fault it was that the job was done poorly.
So I will further clarify my side of the story.
First of all, the job was NOT done while I (the husband) was in the house. I came by at 9am before work, let the cleaners into the unit, went to work, and came back at noon to pay them for what I assumed would be a job well done.
Second, when I let them in I pointed out the 1 pile of belongings in 1 corner of the living room and said they could clean around that. The dog food was behind/under a rolling cart in the kitchen. If that is your excuse for why the house wasn't cleaned then what about the oven and the air vents? Certainly there was no furniture or belongings inside the oven or attached to the ceiling over the air vents.
Third, the reason it took 4 days to get back to you about the poor job is because the apartment was empty for those 4 days. The old tenant moved the rest of their stuff out (the 1 pile of stuff in the 1 corner of the living room which is right by the front door) that night and the new tenant came to the house on Friday at which point she called us to ask why the apartment had not been cleaned which was obviously a surprise to us since we had just paid nearly $300 to have it "professionally" cleaned.
Last, these pictures represent the general quality of the work your crew did. None of them were from the 1 corner in the living room, and I could have taken 10 more pictures of dust, pet hair, and cobwebs that were not cleaned.
If you feel this is all our fault, then that's your opinion. But I feel this was your poor quality work and this is my Yelp review.

I needed a local cleaning company to clean my old rental that I moved out of from Emeryville. Cleaning Nation responded quickly to my quote and the price was fare for a 1 bedroom 1 bath condo. The day before my appointment, Sylvana confirmed the appointment time. Later that evening I missed a message requesting for a 15 minute delay. Since I moved to Sacramento and had another appointment scheduled shortly after letting the workers in, I was concerned that I was going to be late. After some communication the morning of the service, everything got worked out and I was still 15 minutes early for my next appointment.
As for the actual cleaning service, the 2 workers did a great job. I had a concern with the kitchen counter as I had noticed in the morning that there was some black residue all over the counter from some left over packing paper that the movers left behind. When I got back later in the day to check the work, I was relieved to find all the residue was gone.

I booked this company to do two cleanings in one week: the house we moved out of, and the house we moved into. Both Team Mariana and Team Rosa did great jobs cleaning these homes. I also appreciate the efficient/easy booking system, the ability to update the jobs online, and the pretty swift support response via both email and text. It's also very handy to be able to tip the cleaners directly via your account, which is more convenient than handing over cash.

Around the time the pandemic began, my wife and I learned we were expecting a baby. Between that, our demanding work schedules, and trying to stay healthy during a time where her health was even more crucial than ever, we decided to bring on professional cleaners to help us bi-weekly with sanitizing and keeping our house clean.
Calling Shanna was the best move we could have done. From the first conversation where we explored service offerings, it was obvious these guys aren't your run of the mill cleaning providers, they're professionals with a personal touch that is hard to find nowadays.
The team that came by our house bi-weekly literally left our house so clean down to the finest details; I'm talking every inch of the fridge, corner of a bathroom, edge of a bookshelf and even random bits in drawers that were dropped in the middle of cooking.
Not to mention how lightning fast most of their services were. They brought a team every cleaning to tackle our 2-bedroom apartment and they were done in 1/4th the time I've seen other professional cleaners complete even smaller areas.
If we had continued living in the area, we would have probably used them as long as we could, but given a lot of changes and us moving out of the area, we can honestly say they were one of the biggest values and support systems we've had over the last year.
You'd be lucky to grab a recurring spot with these guys ASAP as I can't see top notch service like this staying available for long.

I have used Super Clean 360 for my my twice yearly deep house cleaning. The team of four people that has come over have been excellent. They're skilled at their work, efficient, well organized, pleasant. They bring their own cleaning supplies and tools, but also adapt if I ask them to use special products I use. They are also very cooperative about doing things the way I ask them to, and adapting to the sequence of work I find helpful. They are very thorough, getting at all the tiny corners and places that need cleaning. The house gleams when they are done. I highly recommend Super Clean 360. The company is also easy to contact – I've called at various times and there is always someone answering the phone. The process of payment is all online ahead of time, which makes things simple. Overall the process went very smoothly. Set up an appointment, received a quote very quickly, and the workers came when they said they would. I asked for a first time standard clean + window clean which ended up being $190 for a kitchen, a bedroom, and a bathroom in a small apartment. I didn't follow them around the house during the process as I was working in my room but trusted that a supposedly 5 star service would do the job properly.
After they left, an initial inspection made it seem that everything was spick and span. But a day later as I was wiping up the floor, it seemed that they didn't bother to wash the floor at all and a quick wipe with a towel picked up a lot of dust and grime (see photo attached) I reached out to the owner but have been ignored for about a month.
Given how smooth the overall process is as well as the speed, I would've liked to given a higher review but the end result and lack of communication was upsetting.

These guys are amazing! We had 2 post construction units to clean and they cleaned it professionally. The most challenging was paint spills and stains all over the floors. I live in a large 5 bed/4ba house in SF. We shopped around for a few quotes and Patricia's had the most competitive rate and was available within the week.
We are very happy with their services and our house is sparkling and smells great! They vacuumed all the common areas, mopped the hardwood floors, scrubbed the kitchen up and down, and the stove is so clean you can practically eat off of it. They even cleaned the hood and all the sticky gross oil out that seems to never go away when you try to do it yourself. That itself is worth the price alone!
For an additional cost, they can go into the bedrooms and do a carpet shampoo and also clean additional private bathrooms.
Overall, it took 3 people about 3 hours to do the entire house. If we need to do a deep cleaning of our house again, we'll be sure to call up Patricia's! Thanks!

Patricia and her team did a wonderful job of thorough and careful cleaning of my 3BR apartment in readiness for move-out. They were fair and transparent in their approach to pricing, giving me an accurate non-binding estimate beforehand and then quoting me a price after walking through on the day. This is a fair approach for both sides, and first estimate was very close to the day-of cost. They were really friendly and did the job with no oversight needed on my side. The finished job, which included a grimy range/oven cleaning and fridge cleaning, was beautiful to behold. Strongly recommended with no reservations – will call them again next time.

I provided Patricia a detailed list of what I expected to be covered in my move out cleaning process (as dictated by my landlord). She could not complete the window cleaning portion of the list, citing the windows to be too high (on the third floor). She never asked what floor the windows were on, didn't ask the right questions.
Moreover, the estimate she provided was more than $100 lower than the quote she later gave me when her cleaners arrived to my apartment. I chose to hire her because she specifically promised that she could complete all of the tasks and by the time the job was "finished" it was too late for me to find someone else to complete the job in time for my move out walk through.

Patricia went out of her way to be flexible when I asked to adjust my appointment time. Most importantly, on cleaning day, Marlene showed up on time and did an extraordinary job on a house that had been extensively lived in by humans and critters during COVID-19. In about five (probably grueling) hours, Marlene made all of the dirt and grime and cobwebs and dust disappear – and swept up an astounding amount of hidden dog and cat hair. I'm very surprised to see that others have had such negative experiences recently. Patricia and her team were reliable and provided great services each time they've cleaned our home. Their quote was $425 for our sizable house; they certainly never lowballed us or increased the actual price afterwards like another review claims.
Finally, I really appreciate how responsive and readily available their team seems to be. Our previous cleaner would need a month's notice before scheduling a cleaning, whereas Patricia's needs a few days. At first I was skeptical of this, but they've done a great job each time. Hired Patricia's for a moving out cleanup. Received a quote online and picked them because of good reviews and right in the middle quote. First off they arrived an hour and a half late. Since I was meeting them after I had already moved this was a pain but not the end of the world. After arriving they looked around the apartment. Then I received a call from Patricia it was now almost 150 more then was quoted. Not even in the ballpark. I tried to get clarity on pricing. What the hourly was. What overages are. She only said that this was the price they wanted and would not provide me any clarity on the rates or price disparity. This is classic bait and switch.
I was in a time crunch so had them proceed anyway. I will say the cleaning was mostly done well. It was the inspection where things went poorly again. Every time I asked for something to be touched or looked at again, a call to the manager had to happen first to see if it was part of our deal. I finally just stopped asking them to finish stuff. In total three people took less than two hours to clean the place. It sure seemed like a lot of money for the time spent. Again good cleaning job, but piss poor business practices and communication.

Juana and her colleague have come to my newly remodeled house for the move-in cleaning. They were very serious about punctuality – they checked in with a call confirmation that morning and actually came in half hour earlier. Juana is good communicator and their amazing price can't be beat as I asked for about 10 different cleaners in the area. However, I wished their cleaning work was as good as the other aspects. They spent about 3 hours nonstop working in my house, but the result is not very satisfactory. I found several places with dusts (seemed they haven't touched those places at all), especially the three vanity cabinets that I have explicitly expressed that they would need to clean inside. The window shades also have dusts here and there at the corner even if she cleaned it. She also forgot to clean the cabinets in the laundry room. After I pointed out the places still have dusts, Juana cleaned them one by one. After they left, I can find several places not cleaned at all, such as the door handle. I can't say the cleaning is up to my expectation, but since the price is good and they spend 3 full hours working, I think I should give them a tip to thank for their hard work. Hopefully they can be more careful and pay attention to details next time no matter it is a move-in or a move-out cleaning.

Found Martin's House Cleaning through yelp and used it for a move-out clean. Juana and her crew were punctuate on the scheduled date even I was 5 min late. They are really friendly and nice people. They did a pretty thorough cleaning of the place (2br, 1ba apartment) especially the stove which was fairly dirty and sticky. However, the hood above the stove wasn't cleaned. They wiped it with paper towels casually after I notified Juana about the issue. Eventually, my landlord deduct part of my deposit for this specific problem, but everything else is good. I received a deep cleaning today. Leading up to the cleaning, Heather was responsive and inquisitive, even asking about my priorities for the cleaning, which I had not had from any service in the past (I have worked with several in Seattle and one in the South Bay).
On the morning of the cleaning, Sonia was 15 minutes late. We had given instructions for where to park, how to get into the building, and how to get into the apartment but she only received part of the instructions from Heather. So instead of just quickly buzzing Sonia in as I expected, I received a call that she was at our building and unable to enter. The call dropped or she hung up before I could provide full instructions; I had to text Heather to get Sonia's number, then talk Sonia through the instructions via text.
Sonia was unable to find the trash room, which we have on every hallway, and instead left the trash in the apartment for us to take out. I feel partially responsible for not providing instructions on how to throw away trash. This did not occur to me, but I also feel it is something that should be asked of clients, or at least searched out by the cleaner. I work part time as a petsitter and will literally carry bags of poop around in my purse until I find a trash can so clients don't have to deal with it.
Sonia also missed cleaning the bathroom sink (clarification: the entire sink, which I stated in my feedback to Heather as "the bathroom sink," not just around the drain). This is part of a basic clean, let alone a deep clean.
This aside, the rest of the apartment was clean. I just don't feel – and have expressed this to Heather – that it is a $140 + $20 tip clean, especially for a first-time client who had the potential to be a regular. Heather did offer to refund the tip, but I am not seeking reimbursement. I would just like to share my experience and offer the feedback that communication could be improved, basic cleaning could be observed, and service could strive to meet or exceed client expectations (my expectation is to have a hassle-free service with a fully cleaned apartment, including trash taken out).

So happy I found Heather's Home Cleaning!! I used them before COVID and have recently started up with them again. I have been very pleased… even more than before. My cleaner has been wearing a mask and I have felt safer having my home sanitized (much better than I can do).

So I needed my house cleaned a few weeks ago. I got heathers contact from Nextdoor and she kindly sent a crew on last minute to clean my home.
I told her my house was 1500 square feet and she quoted 2.5 hours to clean. I skipped work that morning to host her crew.
For the first 25 minutes, her crew stood idle. They on the surface barely wiped dust off my surfaces and didn't even turn the shower on to clean.
It was awkward. I called heather who offered to come by but then in good faith I said don't worry. Crew started moving a bit.
Then 15 minutes later they started to pack up. I looked at other rooms and entire surfaces were not even touched.
I called heather again and she apologized and offered to refund the money or at least take some time off. I paid the lower fee and told her, come back and why don't you try with a new crew on the house. I understood sometimes crews can be hit or miss which is hard to manage as a small business.
I get a text confirming our time next week and heather informs me that it's a "misunderstanding" and that I'm a terrible consumer for wanting free work.
I am completely appalled and disturbed that under the guise of Alameda "local" this is what's happening.
Note – This is just my experience. Others may have had better experiences but as someone from the community it's important to me that "local" businesses are held to a standard. Buyer beware.

Both times I had this cleaning service come to me and my sister's apartments I was disappointed in the quality of work. The second time was so bad she refunded half of my money. Nothing was dusted or moved including furniture, electronics, plants…nothing. None of the mirrors were windexed, ashtrays remained full. The floors were slightly swept, and maybe mopped, but it looked terrible. My brother in law couldn't even tell they had come to clean, they were that ineffective. I would not recommend this company to anyone.
side note: no one is scamming anyone here. I was looking for a team to clean my house twice a month and these people did a terrible job. And I mean terrible. Please look at my photos if you'd like to see the quality in which they clean.

Heather's Home Cleaning is great house keeping service. They are always on time and polite. Also, Heather does a great job with scheduling and you can correspond with her via text, which I love. There have been a few times I have needed to make scheduling changes and she has always accommodated them. As we have a weekly service, we have a regular team of her cleaners who come to our home. However before we had regular cleaning, I got to experience a few of her teams. They all have been awesome. Heather follows up after the service to make sure everything went well, which I appreciate.
I have small kids and cats so our house can get very messy, but her team always leaves my house sparkling! I have recommended Heathers to friends & family members and everyone has had good experiences. One thing to note is Heather's team uses your cleaning supplies vs their own. I personally like this as I choose what product are used, but it also allows them to be a bit more reasonably priced the cleaners I tried previously.

She claimed Amazon should have let me know they canceled but in fact, they dropped my service request and never let Amazon know about it. My boyfriend and I just moved to a new apartment that was honestly a hot mess. The previous tenant didn't clean up very well and I can't be in a house with dirty walls and floors, I get the heeby jeebies. Anyway, we went looking for a cleaning service and this one has amazing reviews so we called, they weren't available on the day we wanted, which was last minute so very understandable and we moved our movers a day back so the cleaners could come in before they got here.
So we had this cleaning company come in on Wednesday, movers were coming Thursday early AM because it's the Navy moving us and they had other families to move as well, as you can imagine.
I spoke with Heather, who was very pleasant, about what my priorities were and again when they arrived on Wednesday. I pointed out that the walls were my absolute priority, they were "driving me up a wall". I thought I was funny.
Heather left, the group of three began cleaning and we went out to the car because we were eating breakfast and the chemicals were getting pretty strong. An hour later, Heather stops by, checks in, we pay her the $200 + $20 tip (unsure if you tip for these things so we tossed in an extra $20), and she says she'll call me a little later to check in on how the girls did. I run inside to use the restroom and by the time I came out of the bathroom, the girls were gone. I look through the house and realize, it's still a mess.
The walls were still dirty, the baseboards were still dirty, the blinds were still dirty, the bathroom still had a bunch of daddy long legs spiders in it, the spiders that had been killed were left as squished bodies on the walls, the doors still had marks on them, only half the windowsills were wiped down, the entry way had been mopped in a way that really just pushed dirt around so there was a dark layer of dirt all over, the fridge still had jelly stains inside, etc.
So here's where I guess I made a mistake?
I didn't call Heather right away.
She said she'd call shortly after and because of that, I didn't want to call to complain without prompting.
We spent the next three or so hours doing other errands and after still not receiving a call, we went out and bought cleaning supplies.
We start to clean, the more we clean the more missed spots we find and the angrier we get. We had movers coming the next morning and instead of spending the evening doing what we had planned to work on, we were cleaning. My boyfriend texts her, letting her know we werent happy with the cleaning.
So they talked on the phone, he's being very polite, saying it's just a little dirty still and just explaining that we don't want someone else to come clean, especially not tomorrow because the movers were coming and that we were interested in a refund of sorts.
He says he'll call right back, explains to me what happened and asks me to call her back with what I think is appropriate.
This is what ruffles my feathers.
Keep in mind, I've taken pictures of some of the mess that my house is and videos of me cleaning it as proof. Just in case.
I call her back and Heather's not super pleasant anymore. She says that normally people would call her right away if it was still dirty and don't buy cleaning supplies to clean it themselves. She continues to go on about us not calling her soon enough. Well, ok, but I wanted a clean house and I no longer trusted them to do it. I told her that I had to be misunderstanding her because it sounded like she was blaming us for not calling when she said she would call us to check up on the clean. We haven't done this before, which we had told her.
So she offers to have someone come finish up the cleaning, which we had already spent the last hour and a half doing, and we said no thank you, that we just didn't have faith in it and we're more interested in a partial refund. She "couldn't believe we wouldnt give her a second chance," a second chance that we didn't have the time nor the patience to extend. She asked how much for the refund and I asked her what she thought was professionally appropriate.
She thought $50 because she "saw the place and thought it looked good and couldn't believe there was more than an hour's worth of work to do to it".
Alrighty. I just told you I had spent the last hour and a half cleaning it, but fine.
She did PayPal us the $50 that we agreed on.
And we continued to clean the house. We noticed a blind was broken after the fact and when we texted her with pictures, she thanked us and said she'd forward it to the girls.
I'm writing this because I'm still upset.
I don't like the insinuation that we were lying. Our small apartment was still a mess and we had paid them for an unmet service.
We have since cleaned most of the house with the Swiffer dusters, Clorox wipes, paper towels, sponges, and BAM (which we went out and bought afterward). Luckily, we hadnt packed the vacuum with the movers.
Overall, the quality of their cleaning wasn't what we were looking for.
