I wanted to hire a company for a deep clean. I contacted 5 companies to obtain a quote. It turned out 4 companies where on Long Island and the fifth was Cleany that covered the NYC area. As Yelp has people from all over, I thought iI would tell you about them. Cleany has wonderful reviews. I believe a good majority were 5,stars and a few where 4 stars where the clients were happy with CLEANY. Some of us Yelpers are tough reviewers. I would like to add that I received an email from Cleany which explained in great depth what exactly a deep clean is. I must say that this company is excellent and you knew ahead what exactly they would be doing.

Our cleaner, Luz, was punctual, friendly, and left the place looking IMMACULATE. She organized a lot of loose objects I had left in my room – it's not the most organized place so that was a real feat on her part! It looks like a brand new apartment and I am proud to come home to it. The booking system was extremely straightforward and it was very clear what I had to provide (a vacuum and step stool). I would absolutely use Cleany again and would recommend them highly.

My regular cleaner hadn't been available since the first of the year. I tried to maintain my two bedroom apartment but it became overwhelming. I had trouble finding a new, reliable cleaner & decided to return to Cleany, with whom I had been pleased after my first experience. I was able to arrange an appointment within two days, to my surprise & delight. Anna arrived a few minutes late. I explained my situation & what I needed done. She set to work immediately & started with the worst room in the apartment (my bathroom!).

I scheduled a deep cleaning of my apartment after we had fallen behind on regular maintenance. Veronica came and did a fantastic job! Moving things off of shelves, dusting the tops of book cases. Cleaning doors around the knobs. She was extremely thorough, and did an absolutely wonderful job.
Great value for the cost, booking and modifying the booking was super easy.
Most importantly, she gave me back TIME. It would have taken me much longer to do the same quality of work, and instead of losing a day, I came out energized and excited by how great the place looked.

I would've given 5 starts but my first appointment was canceled within 30 minutes of expected arrival time, the team did accommodate me by giving me credit and scheduling someone at a later date. I paid $400 for what amounted to sweeping the floor and wiping counters down in an empty apartment. I'd asked for a pre-move clean and after settling in I found black splooge from the toilet sprayed all over the bathroom wall. The grout lines hadn't been cleaned and the baseboards were all dusty.

At that price point in an empty apartment, I fee those things should be included. Learned my lesson. Never again.

Update: unfortunately, this isn't a fake review. I so rarely post reviews should tell you something. I was unable to contact you in the 48 hour window, so I did not contact you for a refund. I got in touch with the coordinator, Alicia, and she was very helpful, understanding and professional. She sent me two of her best – first Jeraldine, and then Anna.

They both were amazing. I never once felt judged by either Jeraldine or Anna (or Alicia) for the situation I presented them with. There was nothing but kindness, compassion, efficiency, and results. They also worked straight through – Anne 4 hours without stopping and Jeraldine 5 hours without stopping – no break, just work.

Patrick was very friendly and honestly so patient with me, he gave me a step by step explanation of the process and how my appointment would go. He was very punctual and brought all materials/equipment for the job.

After the job was finished we were called for a final walk through, and all I can say is…WOW! Details, details, details! Our appointment lasted about 12 hours, but it was beyond worth the wait. Thanks so much again!

Recently I moved into a new apartment that was left unkept by the former tenant. Moving is frustrating as is, but I was happy to come across Elite's service in my search for a deep cleaning company. The reviews were all positive so I figured I'd give it a chance.

I reached out to Patrick to discuss the various packages and my needs. We agreed that the Fresh Start package would be the best fit. He was so friendly while answering all my questions (I had A LOT!) and gave great insight on the best approach to my deep cleaning needs. The booking process was also pretty frictionless which I appreciated during the otherwise chaotic transition into my new place. They were punctual and brought all the required equipment to do the service.

In the end of it all, I found this experience to be exceptional from beginning to end. I booked the Elite Premiere Package which was the best fit for my deep cleaning. Patrick was extremely professional and puctional . I have to say that Elite Supreme Cleaning company is the only one for me. Like most people, I hate cleaning the apartment for a move out it is such a hassle. I was so busy and a good friend of mine recommended Elite Supreme Cleaning company to me. After going on Yelp and looking at his reviews I was impressed and decided to go further.

I left a message for them to give me a quote. Patrick was prompt in his responses and super warm and inviting. I told him that I was a chef and to pay close attention to my kitchen and bathroom. He asked if I was available for a telephone conversation. While on the phone he discussed all the services that he offered; he assured me that his company was insured Incase anything were to be damaged.

Patrick and his crew showed up early to the job. They had all of their equipment in tow, and all I had to do was allow them ample time to give the space a deep cleaning. The products they used weren't strong, and left my space sparkling like no one lived there.

When it came time to pay he accepted various types of tender. He was very detailed and organized in what he was charging me, and why. When Patrick and his crew finished cleaning my apartment he explained what was done, and he insisted we do a walk through to make sure it was up to my liking. He even wanted to look at the lease agreement to make sure I wouldn't be charged any fees if he had missed anything

They love asking you questions about where to put things and what you want done. This is super important for me as many things in my apartment aren't mine and can be ignored. The cleaning took about 6 – 7 hours – my apartment was seriously messy. They bring their own tools and are super friendly! I am definitely referring them to my mom and bf.

Choosing a business/service online can always be a crapshoot, but I am so glad that I found Elite Supreme Cleaning. Spoke with Jasmine via Yelp first who was incredibly quick to respond. Then spoke with Patrick on the phone who was able to get me a more precise quote after our conversation.

Patrick was very communicative throughout the entire process, prior to and during the cleaning – not to mention, also patient and polite. I couldn't be there in person, but he gave me updates via text the entire time. He and his associate arrived promptly, with all their own supplies, and he sent me before and after photos of almost everything they cleaned. I gave him a pretty specific list of things that I wanted him to tackle, but he even cleaned things I didn't even think to do. His attention to detail is above and beyond.

As for price, after comparing quotes from a few different places for a move in/out deep cleaning of my 1 bd/1br apartment, I found Elite to be pricey, but reasonable – especially for the quality. Patrick will be my go to person in the future.

100% would recommend!! When they say it's a detailed clean, best believe they're getting into all the corners, windows, and stains. No dusty moulding is too dusty for Elite Supreme. The amount of detail, care, and love our apartment was given is phenomenal. I'm so happy I chose Elite Supreme!

Patrick handled my inquiry all the way to actually cleaning the apartment. I called him to clean my boyfriend's apartment, which was considerably grimy, dusty, and dirty. It had never gotten a deep clean since he moved in a couple years ago.

Thankfully, Patrick was so easy to talk to and was an amazing help in getting a quote and scheduling the clean just 2 days from calling him. For a deep clean of a 225 sqft 1 bedroom, it was $325 with an $80 deposit. Very fairly priced because of how DETAILED and THOROUGH Patrick was in the bedroom, kitchen, living room, AND bathroom. He did the floors, sinks, toilet, tub, windows, and mouldings as part of the deep clean. On top, I also asked for 2 cabinets, 3 appliances, stovetop, and oven to be cleaned. All of these were done perfectly! He also cleaned all the counters, tabletops, and dressers we had! All the old grease, dust, and grime were gone. Patrick exceeded my expectations all around.

Amazing work and I can't wait to call them for another appointment, this time for inside the closets and the walls!

This company is unprofessional. They might provide good cleaning services if you manage to confirm a booking, but I would never know because they wasted 24 hours of my time and then ghosted me as I was confirming the booking! I wish I was kidding. Is this dating?

I ask if there are any other methods for a deposit like PayPal that have purchase protections in case no one shows up
She says it's her company and it'll be her doing the work, so she'll be there
I say ok, your reviews are good, so I'll Venmo. Let me know the info.
Then she….blocks me without responding!

I'm a little confused and give them the benefit of the doubt…maybe Yelp messaging is acting up. So I send an email…crickets. I try to call and a gentleman picks up (Patrick?), says he'll speak to Jasmine as Yelp can act up and he'll call me right back….crickets again.
….

Here's the kicker! I send a new quote request from my husband's account to confirm my suspicions. Same exact details of the job. What do you know? Jasmine replies immediately and quotes $500! And the time slot I discussed just hours prior is not offered. I have screenshots of all this as I assume they'll try to cover their tracks.

The only conclusion here is that they decided to accept a different job where they made up a higher price, which is actually fine. What isn't fine is wasting 24 hours of my time, blocking and ghosting me instead of simply letting me know they booked another job. I'm sorry, this is immature and unprofessional, especially by a company on Yelp with good reviews.

Their pricing structure is also suspect. How does the same job cost $200 to some and $500 to others within hours?

We had a fantastic experience with Elite Supreme Cleaners.

My wife and I are moving soon. We tried to clean out the new place by ourselves before we moved in. We really tried. But it didn't take long for us to realize that we needed professional help.

We called ESC, and Patrick showed up and saved the day.

Patrick was able to clear out greasy stains on the tops of the cabinets that I thought would outlive my grandchildren. He absolutely scoured the oven. I think I can actually see my reflection more clearly in my oven door than in my bathroom mirror at home (sidenote: I should ask him to clean my bathroom mirror at home).

When Patrick was done, our new/future apartment was gleaming and smelling of Pinesol. He did a great job and kept us posted with updates throughout the day.

We will definitely, 100% be calling ESC again.

Patrick was a pro from start to finish. He is personable and easy to work with. Our space is a new lease for a 6,000 sq ft office — his quote was well thought out, and he worked with me on price to make it happen. We needed a deep clean desperately.

He was early on the day of the deep clean, dealt with obstacles with ease (the elevator was broken), and worked diligently with his associate. He gave me updates throughout the day, did AMAZING work, and left the space looking brand new. He was also communicative about places they wouldn't be able to reach.

I was looking for a new cleaning company for not only for our regular biweekly cleaning but also for a move-in cleaning that was needed for a new apartment. Very happy with Obsessive Cleaning in my first time using them. Booking was super easy (+ quote is built directly as you choose the service level on their website, with add-ons you can choose like fridge, oven, etc), communication was thorough and efficient (text and email reminders) and most importantly the results are there. OC came for a pre-move deep cleaning in our new apartment, and they left the place spotless. All corners, shelves, cabinets etc were fully cleaned, bathrooms were sparkling too. This is an update. I hired them again for the normal day to day cleaning and it still is spotless service, with great care and Liz was very nice with my cat, which I also appreciate. Everything looks and smells great, especially the floors, and those are tricky at my place.

Ingrid showed up on time, wearing a mask. Ingrid explained how she was going to proceed. She listened to us and was respectful. Ingrid did not make us feel uncomfortable when we asked her to do something a certain way. Ingrid was extremely careful with our belongings. I have never had a professional cleaner to come and clean my home before. I actually wondered why people would pay to clean their home… I get that many people have more than full schedule, but still…

After getting the thorough cleaning from Maid First, I now understand the value of the cleaning service. I had 3 hours of cleaning scheduled, and I mainly wanted the bathroom and kitchen cleaned more than any other space. I didn't know what to expect, but I was excited about the cleaning service.

The young female arrived about 15 minutes later than the 2-hour window of arrival due to subway delays, but she did stay and cleaned the entire 3 hours and plus. I didn't have a tight schedule on this day, so the delay was not that much of a big deal. But, I would've liked them to notify me of the delay.

I was working in my home office during the cleaning, and I could hear her cleaning (quietly) the entire 3 hours, I didn't hear her taking any break at all. Before she finished up, she asked me to come and check the rooms and let her know if I wanted her to clean anything else. The apartment was very, VERY clean! Everything was shiny, you could see and touch the cleanliness of the room. Especially the dusting was phenomenal. I have a wine bar cabinet that was noticeably dusty against dark wood color. It had no dust after she was finished! She also cleaned inside and out of the microwave to sparkling clean. She even cleaned my kettle that was on the oven!

She did great job cleaning bathroom and kitchen, and then moved onto the other rooms, dusting, wiping, mopping, etc., etc… She cleaned the whole apartment! I don't know how many times I said "wow" looking and touching all the sparking surfaces…

She was lovely and polite, although English was not her first language, we didn't have much problem communicating. I provided with the Swiffer, duster, and toilet brush, and she brought everything else that she needs to clean with her. Whatever she needed, like a broom, she came and asked me. It was a very pleasant experience, and I totally enjoyed my super clean apartment! Thank you!

Consider me a very satisfied customer!

This was my first time using Maid First so I wasn't quite sure what to expect. But Irina was very thorough and paid attention to all the nooks and crannies – when we opened the door, we were a bit blinded by how shiny all the surfaces suddenly were. Floors, mirrors, even the top of the TV got scrubbed down. I'm seriously so satisfied with the end result that I'm about to book a more regular service.

All of my interactions with Kate from the front office were top-notch and professional as well. Scheduling was a total breeze.

Just a note that they ask you to provide: vacuum, swiffer/mop, and a toilet bowl brush. The first two are so that the cleaners don't have to haul that stuff around on public transportation; the third is pretty self-explanatory. Besides, those are all things that I assume people would have on hand anyway. Other than that, they bring all the cleaning supplies.

It took about 3 hours for a 1bedroom/1bathroom. We also have two extremely inquisitive kitties so cleaning around them could not have been easy. Overall, we couldn't be more impressed.

My primary form of communication was with Kate, their front office manager who helped me through the scheduling/booking process via their website.

MaidFirst services the NYC area, including Queens and Brooklyn, which was nice. Scheduling my appointment was a breeze, since everything is done via a drop down option on their online platform. I was able to choose my window of when I want the cleaning lady to arrive, and if you're flexible with arrival time you get a 5% discount. My only complaint from the booking and confirmation process is that their email confirmations could look aesthetically better.

Now onto the service. I scheduled an 8am-10am arrival window and the cleaning lady arrived towards the latter part of the booked window. The girl did arrive 30 minutes late, but that is only because she was confused with all the construction in my area, and did not know how to use the intercom in my building so that I could buzz her in. I received a call from the home office manager, Manny, and from then on it was smooth sailing. As soon as she came in she started cleaning my bathroom, and then onto my kitchen (my two biggest woes).

For the most part the cleaning lady did really well cleaning the general area, but she somehow ignored wiping down the floors in the bathroom and kitchen area; I ended up redoing these areas after reviewing the cleaning. For the floors she didn't utilize the dry swifter sweep first but instead went immediately to the wet sweep, which caused a lot of dust ball clumps to be found in corners, but a simple handheld vacuum remedied that. The booking was scheduled for 3 hours, but she was done in about 1.5 hours. My only feedback would be to please have your cleaning ladies take their time when cleaning a small studio apartment.

The cost of the service seemed fair, but only if you book multiple appointments at once because you essentially get around $15 off per visit versus the normal $80 rate (I have a studio and this includes one bathroom).

Tomorrow is the first day of spring! I decided my apartment did need some spring cleaning and discovered Maid First on Yelp. I booked the night before and had someone at my house the next day. Booking online is a breeze and super simple. The young lady that cleaned my apartment was on time, personable, and very detailed orientated. I have a two bedroom apartment but only got cleaning for the living room, kitchen, bathroom, and one bedroom. They typically allow for 2 hours for this setup. I left the cleaner alone in my apartment and headed to the coffee shop across the street.

I came back just about 10 minutes prior to the ending of the cleaning. I walked into a fresh and clean apartment, and my bathroom looks spectacular BECAUSE Lord knows it was a mess. At first, I was skeptical of leaving a stranger in my house but Maid First hires some great people and puts all my worries to rest. I will definitely be using them in the future.

I noticed that the cleaner dusted every glass and wood item in my house, straightened ALL of my spices on my rack, cleaned the inside of my microwave, and put away all of my clean dishes that were sitting in my drying rack. Her attention to detail truly surprised me.

Our first time using Maid First home cleaning services turned out to be an awesome experience.

I honestly couldn't wait for the ladies to leave my home so I could write them a wonderful review. I needed my house thoroughly cleaned on a super short notice and they were very quick to respond and accommodate my needs, super professional and they got the job done way faster than I thought anyone possibly could. Other home-cleaning services that I was looking at required the cleaning to be scheduled a few days in advance. The estimated time for the deep-clean housecleaning package was 7 hours, and we had 2 maids clean the entire home in about 3 and a half hours each. It included cleaning of basically everything you can imagine: inside of the oven, fridge, all the windows, bedrooms, living room, etc.. They were very thorough and detailed, honestly I couldn't have done a better job even if I tried, it was insane.

I highly recommend this cleaning company. I will definitely use their services again!!

Do not spend your money on this company. The first time i used them, the maid left for the day and did not shut my door!!! The company asked me to allow them to make it right. Ive booked 6 additional cleanings and the last 2 have been horrible. In fact yesterday the maid shut herself in a bathroom for 50 minutes and when she came out it wasnt even clean! She was watching video on her phone the entire time. And, she left a horseshoe shaped stain on my couch! (See photo) Horrible. Update: So it gets worse and worse. These guys are LIARS. After I posted my review and sent a complaint, they promised to give me 2 free cleanings. When I asked them to schedule, no response.

So I scheduled online, and asked them to confirm that they are not charging me today. They basically then canceled my appointment for today (they were supposed to arrive 4 hours ago) WITHOUT contacting me, and said "go somewhere else", you're obviously not coming back to use us even with the free cleanings. So my family is moving between Upstate and NYC and my cousin had the crazy idea to Yelp nearby cleaners – it is New York. We hired a maid service to clean after we cleared out an entire apartment of junk to stage it for sale. Being Caribbean, my aunt is a pack rat. It was one thing to pull out, sort and go through dozens and dozens of boxes, tubs and air-tight sealed bags. After hauling out the big stuff there was nothing left but trash, dust, debris and a myriad of cat hair floating off of corners: things I had little to no energy to clean.

Maid First came and did the bedroom, kitchen, bathrooms and even the staircase leading into the condo. The kitchen windows are pretty high and are spotless now. We didn't even think to ask the maid to do those! Well it was my first time resorting to a housecleaning service but you know what, the price was pretty diggity reasonable! The wood glistened, the doorknobs…. the DOORKNOBS we're relecting! Ha! The closets were dust free and smelled like fresh light pine and lilacs! (I chose that scent tee hee)

Seriously professional and to be frank if this apartment doesn't get picked up quick (it likely will) Maid First will be back to keep it this way. BTE I also like that the apartment didn't smell like bleach. The products weren't harsh and didnt bother the cat at all. Glad for pet friendly services.

Simply the best!

I'd never hired a home cleaning services before, so I did a lot of research. This cleaning company seemed to have very high reviews and my friend also used them so I went with them. Maid First house cleaning services is very responsive and so easy and accommodating to work with. Communication was great and they met all of the requirements I asked for during my deep clean.

Rudina from their office is very quick and responsive to emails that I sent regarding scheduling and their maids do such an amazing job. It was such a joy to have had such a thorough cleaning of our house! We expected them to come between 2-4 pm, they arrived on time and got to work immediately. We had 2 cleaners that stayed for 4 hours each. Extremely polite and pleasant to work with. Very hard to find these days.

Besides the basic cleaning, I paid for a more thorough home cleaning package, so my fridge, microwave, baseboards, and oven were cleaned as well. Worth every penny. I haven't seen my kitchen and bathroom so spotless in a long time. I am very happy with their work. The housecleaning technicians were all professional and extremely thorough. I had few guests over last weekend and they left a big mess in my 3 bedroom apartment. Maid First left a flyer under my door that said 25% off your first maid service visit, so I gave them a call. I recently got a deep clean. It wasn't the cheapest option, but they definitely made it worth the money. And the price was less expensive than some other Yelp cleaning services.

They spent more than three hours here and cleaned everything from floors to walls to cabinets to garbage cans to my toilet brush holder! All the stains and dusty parts I couldn't get to are clean, including under the lid of my stove.

They brought their own supplies and machines (some cleaning services make you supply cleaning supplies) – an operation that was reminiscent of a band loading and unloading its gear.

One thing to note, when they show you your apartment after, double check that they got everything. My toaster-oven and my cabinets under my kitchen sink were missed, and I didn't look closely enough to point it out at the time. They would have totally taken care of it. I'm also mentioning this so you know it's a real review.

That being said, there's not enough room to list all the items they cleaned phenomenally. I will definitely use them again.

Personal and great response time. I used their services for deep floor cleaning back in January & requested no swifter and they came in with a brand new mop to get it done. They went above and beyond.

Update: Needed move out cleaning services, had a great experience 1st time around & decided to use them again. It went great! I needed to get a cleaning service to help me with a semi-annual deep cleaning. I am not exactly sure how I found Maid Share but based on reviews and people's sentiment towards the cleaning products, I decided to give them a try. So happy I did. The place is spotless.

Fatima came over early – which was ok, she let me know – and knocked my place out in no time. Everything looks and smells so clean. Also – Jalessa helped me with the scheduling and was so accomodating even though they had an error on their system and booked me on a day when they were supposed to be off. I was so thankful for them being kind and offering to help me in a pinch.

My boyfriend and I were moving into a new apartment. It was a bit far from my current place and we wanted to get it cleaned before we moved in our stuff.

Mr Maid NY was amazing. They went above and beyond. We paid for moving in clean + all kitchen cabinets/appliances cleaned.

One of the main requirements I needed was someone to pick up the keys from me, and leave it at the apartment. Luckily I close to their office and they were able to provide that which saved me a trip to the apartment which was much appreciated. I paid ahead and they offered to clean it the day before we moved in so it would feel squeaky clean.

Day of Cleaning : They arrived early and was very communicative. They had an issue ( No fault of Mr Maid NY ) where the lock on the door issue and they could not get in. They spent around 30 min fiddling with it and they thankfully managed to get in and clean my apt! I honestly am so grateful.
( For more context about the lock, I was able to get in when I moved in but then got locked out due because of a key strike issue and had to call emergency lock smith after being locked out for 2 hours with the key not working)

Move in day, everything was sparkly clean! I thought there was some stains/some random spillage in the kitchen floor still. They offered to return to clean and fix it, however after we inspected the floor more it was stained into the floor and not remove-able.

I cant recommend them enough! They made a stressful move so much more less stressful.

The job was mediocre at best. They forgot to clean the cabinets, said they couldn't clean the grease off the stove. It was not a deep clean. Ended up paying $300 for a superficial clean to a studio apartment. Not worth it.

Right when the cleaner was about to leave, I quickly looked at everything and it seemed fine so I said it was okay. Though initially it looked like the cleaner was through, after further inspection, I noticed that the floors still had dust bunnies, though I paid extra to have the microwave cleaned it wasn't, neither was the shower or kitchen sink, there was actually a pile of unidentifiable "gunk" next to the toilet, and the rug had not been vacuumed. The main places you see often (counter tops, toilet, bathroom sink, etc.) were cleaned, but it was not as through as I expected and things I assumed would get cleaned (like shower, microwave, rug) were not.

I'm okay with the clean, and would be interested in using them again because they were extremely responsive and professional, but would want a better explanation of what is included in my clean and may need to be more directive instead of just trusting the cleaner to do their job. O

Long version: On a Friday afternoon, I decided last-minute to hire a home cleaner to come the next day (Saturday). I sent out a few quote requests for my 1 bedroom/1 bathroom Brooklyn apartment – regular clean (not deep clean), and Mr Maid NY was one of the accounts that got back to my ASAP. Stephen helped answer all my questions online (I have two cats and wanted to make sure that would be OK) and let me know there was next day availability. I booked through their website late that night and on Saturday morning, Stephen got in touch with me via text to let me know that the time slot I had picked was not available but that there was a cleaner available later in the day.

My cleaner, Carlos, called me before my scheduled time (4 pm) to ask if it would be OK for him to arrive early at 3:30 pm – which worked great for me! Carlos was extremely professional and had a kind, pleasant demeanor. As a non-binary person, I can feel uncomfortable to be alone in my home with a man I don't know – but I was completely at ease with Carlos. He was very thorough and everything looked great afterwards, particularly my hard wood floors.

Mr Maid NY is a great service, and the price cannot be beat. It was also great to be able to pay via Venmo at end of service (instead of during booking), and to be able to tip my cleaner Carlos directly as well.

When I moved to NYC, I struggled to find a good cleaning service. They are almost all expensive, even at the bottom part of the range. I went through 3 different companies before finally finding Mr Maid NY.

Firstly, if you are trying to do a price comparison, I can save you some time: value for money, they are the best out there (at least in this price range). If you are going under this price range, the service is typically pretty mediocre or you are dealing with an individual and paying them hourly. If you go to the next price range (which jumps up by several hundreds of dollars), you definitely get more but you have to be able to afford it (which I can't).

Secondly, the service: comprehensive. A lot of other services will basically just wipe surfaces, quickly clean your bathroom and kitchen, and vacuum. Washing the floors? Forget about it. Dusting? Only if you ask. Something is hard to reach? Nope, they won't be getting that.

When I first considered Mr Maid NY, I called up to see what their cleaning entailed. They must have thought I was crazy asking detailed questions (e.g., what about dusting? baseboards?), because they included pretty much everything in their basic service.

Lastly, I love the add-ons they offer. When I need my fridge cleaned, they have very reasonable upcharges that you can pick online when you schedule your cleaning.

I highly recommend giving them a shot!

If you are looking for a deep clean, you will have to request the company's special services, but for regular every-other-week cleaning and straightening up, they are as good or better than any other house cleaner I've used in the past.

I've been using Orchid since last summer, working with one woman in particular and I honestly don't want anyone else! In fact, I have referred this company to a good friend of mine. What I love about them is the personal touch when it comes to making sure that my needs are met. The woman I work with in particular is detail-oriented and she leaves my home feeling clean, clear and peaceful.

There's a couple of occasions when they need to make a change to my scheduled cleaning, but they do their very best to message me right away, and we handle it. I will also admit that this 5-star review is because I'm working with a woman who I really, really like, and she's been coming to clean for the past 8 months or so. Back when I first started using Orchid, they sent me a different person, and that person did NOT do a good job – in fact, she created more work for me because when she cleaned, she re-positioned things in different areas, so I had to do some re-organizing after she left (she left pretty early) and I could have done a better cleaning job for free. So… this review is subject to change in the future.

As a business operation, they are organized and friendly, and I like the scheduling and payment system they use (I love automated systems). I have a busy schedule that requires bi-weekly cleaning as support, but I'm also a single woman who is pretty clean and organized to begin with, so the cleaning job they do is completely satisfactory – I rarely need a deep clean and they cover all the bases. Every now and then I will schedule an "add-on" if things get extra dirty (e.g. a fridge/freezer cleaning, stove vent cleaning, inside the cabinets, etc.). If this resonates and all you need is a reliable, good home cleaning service, I highly recommend Orchid!

I used Orchid House Cleaning two times already and I would say they do the best job. I first started out with another company but they closed and I turned to Yelp to find another one. I fell upon Orchid, requested an appointment and was contacted with one right away. Two women came on the first visit and worked phenomenally fast, very thorough and organized well. I have to say I didn't even recognize my own space after they were done. They do a phenomenal job and I have a monthly schedule to up keep with cleaning. I do say that contacting the phone number for the business is not as efficient in scheduling an appointment. You usually don't get through but someone does call back after a message is left to schedule you. I'd say sending an email may be more efficient. Their rates are pretty affordable and I'd vouch to say they do a recommendable job.

This company basically didn't do half of what they were supposed to do. My single family home was a full gut job and I informed the company of this. It needed a head to toe clean from dust on the walls to new hardwood floors. I paid extra to do the kitchen cabinets and everything. Pretty much the works.

First, one of 2 cleaners came about 15-20 minutes late. Only the first cleaner that arrived came with cleaning supplies and the other had none. They called me after less than 4 hours that they finished my entire home. I was like what?! How is that possible? I arrive and check the home. Did a dust check and it was EVERYWHERE! Walls, cabinets,etc. I show them the dust and they wet a a rag and wipe it down. Are you for real?! Worst part was they didn't have a mop!!!! It was a total disaster! I complained to management and they reduced the price but I would've rather paid the full amount to get the job done right. Never again. Do yourself a favor and go with someone else more reliable.

Honestly the cleaning was just OK. It's a very superficial surface clean. Not worth the $300 I spent after tip. And not worth complaining to have them send another person to make it 100%. Just took 30 minutes to finish the job they should've done. Despite spending 5 hours for our 1100 square foot place, the job was just not detail oriented.

– The corners of some rooms still have spiderwebs and dust
– Only some crown molding was dusted in only some rooms
– The walls of the shower were only wiped down, not scrubbed
– there were dried drops of baby milk on the dining room floor that should have been easily mopped up
– there was still hair on the stairs

I gave an extra star because I booked the day before and they were able to accommodate. Their website and communication was good. The cleaning ladies arrived promptly and were nice.

This is my second time using their services and the second time they do an outstanding job. I requested a quote Monday evening and received a response within the hour. I was lucky enough to get scheduled for Tuesday morning, which was after a holiday. The cleaning lady arrived 15 minutes early and immediately set up and got to work. She thoroughly cleaned my kitchen, mopped my floors, deep cleaned the oven (for a small additional fee) and tidied up. I have no complaints. My invoice is always the amount I am originally quoted, so there are no surprise charges which I love. If you live in Queens or the surrounding areas I definitely recommend Orchid!! Their customer service is excellent-they are quick to respond and very friendly, I've never had any issues. The cleaners do a wonderful job and even put little personal touches like folding our towels in a special way and organizing our countertops, etc. Our house always feels like a hotel or vacation home after they leave and it's spotless. They have a 24 hour guarantee if you aren't happy with the service, however we have never been unhappy! They are very thorough and professional. We loved them so much we signed up for a monthly service with them. It can be hard to find reliable, professional, trustworthy cleaners and we feel lucky to have found Orchid!

Moved into our new 2br/2ba apartment to find that it hadn't been cleaned after repairs, so everything was covered in a layer of dirt and dust, including inside cabinets etc. Wanted a deep clean and looked around for strong reviews, responsiveness, and quick availability.

OHC was affordable, responsive, and quick. They offered an a la cart cleaning service. Basic cleaning includes standard surfaces etc, then add in the extras you want at a fixed rate (eg inside cabinets, baseboards, etc).

Two cleaners showed up on time. One spoke okay English and the other didn't really speak any. Luckily I speak decent Spanish so we were able to communicate. It wasn't clear if they were told what we had ordered or not, but i went through and described how I wanted all the inside cabinets and drawers cleaned in addition to the regular cleaning.

They spent about 2 hrs cleaning and then asked me to confirm it was all good. I reviewed and immediately found some misses in the bathroom. To their credit they went back and redid it and asked again. I checked out the rest of the house and the bottom line is it was okay. Pretty much a cursory cleaning. Everything could have used a little more attention. I didn't have the heart or desire to have them redo everything, though, so after a few glaring items I told them it was all good.

I've hired them several times now and they very consistently do a 3-star cleaning job – no more, no less. On the one hand, they've definitely made the place cleaner than when they started, but they've missed SO MUCH stuff every time I've had to hire backup cleaners to clean up after them!

The good:
– The back office is generally very accessible ahead of time and day-of via text
– Booking is fairly straightforward online
– They've followed special instructions I've left for every cleaning job
– They've done a good job cleaning the stove, dishwasher, oven, and fridge
– They have definitely gotten the toilet area nice and clean
– They've gone above and beyond to clean out an apartment for a move-out cleaning – really appreciate them for that

The bad:
– They've brought their own cleaning products every time, but not a serious vacuum even though they were supposed to – if they had a vacuum with them, then it was a little handheld one they fit in a backpack, because they certainly weren't carrying one. That's just not good enough for a move-in / move-out cleaning.
– If they can't reach it, they won't clean it. They don't have any cleaning tools for reaching far away things like the tops of doors, the top of the fridge, the top shelves in cabinets, etc – those things have been filthy after every time I've hired them.
– They don't know how to remove mold or mildew. From talking to the cleaners they've just tried using Clorox Wipes and/or scrubbing it off – what! The only thing that can reliably kill mold is bleach, and I tried to tell them that, but they thought Clorox Wipes and bleach are the same thing. Look, I know Clorox makes both wipes and bleach, but they are not the same product. But, since they don't normally use bleach I'm not sure I'd trust them with it – you have to be careful not to let it mix with any other cleaners and I'm not confident they'd do that.
– They are bad at removing construction dust from anything. If you're doing a move-in cleaning with them expect there to still be dust everywhere if it wasn't on the floor or the baseboards.
– They are bad at fine detail work. They don't really make note of problem areas ahead of time, they just seem to treat every cleaning job as more or less the same unless they run into any problems along the way. They miss a LOT of spots, and have even managed to track construction dust inside cabinets from their cleaning.
– They don't clean any vents.

Would I hire them again after so many chances? Ehhh, I don't know. You could do worse, but I think the quality of their work is lackluster.

I recently discovered Orchid cleaning after losing my regular cleaning lady. I've used them 3x now and they do a really through job Everytime. They even clean some places that I/and other cleaners haven't paid attention to in the past (corners, etc.). I've gotten the extra organizing service once for folding laundry which was a life saver. They wear a mask every time they come too.

I feel bad given that my first cleaning through this company was spectacular. However, the last cleaning was absolutely horrendous. Objects not moved to clean under, specific services (clean under sink) paid for, and not completed. Tons of debris left on the floor. Unable to communicate with cleaner (didn't speak English). I used Orchid House Cleaning on two occasions so far. Once before my husband and I moved into our new home in Brooklyn, NY and again recently when we needed a cleaning after some renovations. We have a 2 story plus basement, 3 bed/2 bath home. Two people were assigned the job both times. They did a great job! I was so impressed. They were on time, friendly and very thorough. There was a language barrier but we were able to get through to each other with Google translate. Everything I needed cleaned was done in a way that exceeded my expectations. Orchid is the most affordable, efficient, and flexible cleaning service operating in Brooklyn that I've encountered.

I've used their service three times and each time, representatives have been super responsive and helpful. On two of those occasions, they kindly accommodated my schedule and allowed a booking on short notice.

Their rates are literally a quarter of the cost I've been quoted by other cleaning services. Yet, the cleaning quality is not shortchanged at all as the cleaners do a thorough (and quite quick) job that leaves my place immaculate.

Luc and Elizabeth were able to come clean my 3 Bed, 1 Bath apartment at the last minute. They brought their own cleaning supplies, which I appreciated, and were very diligent in cleaning every inch of the apartment. This was a really excellent experience.
Carolina arrived right on time and took care of everything the way anyone would want them done. She was polite, hard-working and communicated well.
She brought a vacuum and all the supplies necessary for the job.

The company was responsive and also easy to communicate with.
They billed me a couple of days later.
That was so refreshing! It's how it should be.

It is unbelievable how many services out there finish a job and then tell you they expect to get paid in cash on the spot. And they come close to violence when you tell them to send a bill and that you'll pay it legitimately, like every other bill you receive.

I have used this company several times and they are very unreliable with time (appt is at 9 am and arrival is usually 1 hr later). However, we did not have issues with the service. The last time, they didn't complete the job. They did not vacuum the floors and when I followed up on it, the only response I receive was that they will notify them with no further follow up. I had to get a vacuum and return to the residence to finish their job. Days later, I received $20 reduced on my invoice but it does not take away the inconvenience created. I would prefer to go with a reliable agency.

This is a solid company. I called a few other places to get quotes and the owner, Brigador, called me back right away. This was important because everyone has been scared to work during Covid. I was able to go through what I needed on the phone and then she came the next day for a walk through. The 700 sq ft apartment was filthy from a previous tenant, and I didn't know where to begin. She came in, told me what I needed, and her price was extremely fair and competitive. Brigador also walked me through the entire process and it took less than a week to finish the hoard with all the paperwork, etc. I highly recommend her and her team. Very pleasant people to work with.

I was helping a relative move out of state. She had been in New York for over 50 years and had accumulated more than her fair share of stuff. Her 1 bedroom apartment was filled to the brim and also had a storage unit piled with things. In the end even after giving away furniture, boxes of dishes, books, chairs, etc, we still had about 2 dumpsters to hold 50 yards of stuff.

I spoke with several different clean up companies and because I was coming from out of state arranged to meet with three clean up crews I interviewed over the phone. Brigador, the owner, seemed flexible and easy to work with. Most of the companies said they would move/throw everything out in one day. When I asked about looking through the stuff, the other companies felt they could do it as we are cleaning up. Brigador came with another plan of going over things the first day. On the second day,more going over things and throwing/moving out. I believe she tailored a planned based on my needs.

During the review process, Brigador proved to be extremely valuable as whenever I had a question of whether to keep something, she gave good points to help us keep moving forward. The first day was mostly her team bringing out things from storage and showing me the contents of the boxes. I would then say keep or throw away. At a certain point they would know what things I wanted to keep and things to throw. But I saw everything before a decision was made. Most of the stuff I wanted to look through was her old files and paperwork. At first, I wasn't sure how this would work, but basically I would tell them paperwork I'm looking for and which ones I didn't need . They woul look at each piece and save pictures,address books, bank statements,etc. If they came upon a new category of paper they would ask for my opinion. They also knew where to search for hidden money or valuables. They checked the contents of each pocket or empty bag, just in case. Seeing the time they spent with me to go through my relatives stuff was very emotional and her team made me feel comfortable through out the process.

One thing that strikes me as most important was that they would always review stuff while I'm there. In one case, she found a few hundred dollars of cash and immediately handed it over to me. The company is built on strong ethics where I developed great trust in their people.

What I learned – Cleaning out a hoarders stuff is very difficult. It would have been more difficult if my relative (the hoarder) was there. It took a total of 5 days, I spent a day before prepping, a day sorting with them, 2 days of more sorting and giving away stuff on my own and 1 last day of sorting and moving stuff to dumpster with them. If I was less involved, I think they could have moved faster, but they made sure we went at a pace that I was comfortable with. Be prepared things don't go always as planned. Things can change because it depends on your hoarder what type of things you had to sort. My relative did a great job of packing things in and Brigador had to order a second dumpster. To give her credit she smooth talked the dumping company to provide another dumpster the same day. All I can say is that she tries very hard to get the job done and kept things on track. Because my relative did pack in more and of the extra dumpster the price did go higher. She didn't give but kept it very transparent the way she handled it.

I felt extremely fortunate to have this company in my corner as I would have taken several weeks had I tried this on my own. Thank you again NYC Hoards for the awesome job!

This is the best cleaning service in New York! There are not enough accolades to describe someone who has gone above and beyond the call of duty when I was in dire straits looking for someone to clean a relative's apartment while he was in the hospital undergoing cancer surgery. He mentioned that his apartment was a pigsty and there were plumbing issues. I knew I needed something more than a housekeeper. Also, I have COPD, did not have his keys and needed someone to take the ball and run with it. After calling a few companies and leaving voice messages, Brigador was the only person who called right away. We spoke and as soon as my relative's keys were in my hands, Brigador came to my house and got the keys and went over to access the situation. She sent me photos and videos of the condition of the apartment and then called me to discuss what would be done followed by an email including a list activities and pricing. The cost of all that had to be done was extremely reasonable. I immediately felt a sense of trust. As the job got underway, Brigador sent numerous photos and video describing in detail what was done, and then followed this up with multiple calls and texts to make suggestions and discuss what would need to be done. Operating as a general contractor, Brigador reached out and got bids and interviewed numerous plumbers and painters to obtain reasonable pricing for the jobs. For each job, she was there to let the workmen into the apartment and locked up after them each workday. The painting included smoke remediation as well and Brigador carefully interviewed the painters to make sure they knew their craft. Additionally, she found someone to steam clean his couch. As the transformation of his apartment proceeded I sent numerous packages of items he would need when he returned to his apartment. Brigador collected, opened and staged his whole apartment with the new items which included a bed, curtains, towels, cleaning supplies and miscellaneous necessities. I am so grateful to Brigador for all she has done. She saved my sanity and provided my relative with a sanitary and beautifully arranged apartment. When he arrived home, he told me, "This is beautiful". I intend to continue to use Brigador's services by having weekly housekeeping services for him.
