Clutter to Clarity Cleaning and Organizing Services Honest Reviews

I was not impressed. We did a walk through the day before. There may had been some confusion on how much it would cost to clean my house but I was told for $65/per hour I'd get 2 cleaners.
20 minutes before the appointment I got text she'd be at my house for 10am (appointment was for 9). Hour later I got text she had an emergency. She did say she would come over the next day but it didn't work with my schedule. When I said I would just cancel and find someone else because of plans I had, I was then told she would still be able to make it and clean. About 11am, 1 cleaner showed up and after 6 hours and $390 I have a kitchen that's 90% clean and bathroom that's spotless. The rest of the house looks like it did before she came. The bathroom upstairs on the other hand was worse than it was before she got there. She took everything out of the shower and off the different shelves and placed the on the sink so she could clean it, now I can't get to the sink. So for $390 I got half the service and a clean bathroom, a bathroom that was worse and a house that looks the same. They were nice enough to offer to come over in 2 weeks and clean so I can pay twice for the same service but the second trip would be discounted. Very very nice lady and maybe luck just wasn't with her but I paid full price for half the service. I'm not paying you twice to do the job you said you would do the first time. Don't go here.

Edit: our agreement was never for 1,300 square feet. I attached the screenshots of what I requested. You quoted at 65/per hour. I never said I was going to clean or declutter before she got there. We never had that agreement. If that was our agreement, I would of just cleaned my house myself.

This company sold me a three hour cleaning package, same-day cleaning, when I called them the day my mother died to come clean my house because my family was coming for the funeral. They sent a young woman who spent 3 hours cleaning a 4 x 7 bathroom and a small kitchen. Never touched the guest room, dining room, living room, or my bedroom. Charged me $340 which I had agreed to but I assumed they were going to surface clean (dust and vacuum) my whole apartment (1000 sq ft). I feel cheated at a time when I was very vulnerable. I reached out to them very nicely but all they offered was to send somebody back to re-clean what they had already cleaned, which makes absolutely no sense to me.

Scheduled cleaning kept being changed. When the schedule day got approached you would get the call from them saying it has to be rescheduled due to some reasons.
The two ladies did a basic deep cleaning for us in a very slowly pace, letting some areas undone.

I said I was hoping to have two person to come so that it doesn't need five hours to do the job because my kid needs to sleep and they said they understood the situation and would try to have two but cannot guaranteed, which I understood. I did not know that now it became the reasons for the rescheduling from their reply. For example, the most recent rescheduling was two days before the scheduled day I was told that it had to be rescheduled because workers took on vacation, and they did apologize that they did not realize this when they initially scheduled for us.

Also, during the cleaning just one redo and the girls said okay for that. I did not asked them to redo this or that as I did not have much time staying in the house just to check. I was out for about our two hours and then I had to cook and feed my kid.

I found an advertisement for Supreme Steam while doing a Google search for carpet cleaning companies. I contacted the owner, Nate, via email and received a quote for my cleaning request. Nate was very timely and efficient. He arrived at the agreed upon time and worked for a solid 3 1/2 hours. I will have to say my carpets look new and my couches have been brought to life again. The house smells wonderful and I am very pleased with the results. I never played phone tag with the company and did everything through the Internet. I would recommend this company, their rates and schedule options were much better than Stanley Steamer, the competition.

The owner Nate did an amazing job with our carpets in our house and I couldn't have expected a better experience than what I had with Supreme Steam. Nate was easy to deal with and was quick to email me and call me to discuss the job before we scheduled a time. His price was very fair and much better than most other quotes I received, his availability was even better. The carpets we have in our house is a very light tan color so everything shows but after Nate was done the pet stains from our two dogs, wear marks and dirt was gone and our carpets looked and smelled like new. Since then I have booked Nate again to clean the upholstery and interior of my car since I was so happy with his work. I woudl highly recommend him to anyone out there looking to have their carpets done before the holidays, before winter hits or for a spring cleaning you will be much happier than going with any other competitor out there.

I am moving into a condo next week and needed to have the carpets cleaned after the last tenant moved out. I only had one day it could get done, emailed the company and Nate, the owner, promptly responded. He was able to shift his schedule to accommodate my needs. Nate showed up on time (early, actually, knowing I had a flight to catch) and was very professional. I had to leave while he was cleaning but trusted him to lock up behind him.

Did not honor voucher I purchased on Living Social. Actually made appointment and then cancelled it. I had the identical experience as three other people who reviewed this company, which also is known as Diamond Shine Cleaning.

On their website they posted a lengthy excuse essentially blaming Living Social for over-selling the vouchers. I notice once they became advertiser that my review, which had been rated, was removed. So, this one is plain and simple: Did not keep multiple promises and failed to show up to clean house and left me and others in a difficult situation due to accepting money for services that were never rendered. If they could not do the job, they should not have collected in advance and received full payment.

only rating one star because zero stars is not possible. I also purchased a living social voucher for 2 hours of cleaning. I waited approx 12 days for a return call at which time i was told she was booked a month out, which was not a problem as I purchased it with the intent to have my new home cleaned prior to move in. I stated we had purchased a foreclosed home so it had been vacant for about a year as well as we had been doing some renovating. No where on the website, the living social voucher terms or our phone call or email was there stated any restrictions regarding construction debris. In fact her website lists move in – move out cleanings as a specialty. I later requested to add a 3rd hour and Alexa said that was fine but she needed to move up the apt time a half hour to accommodate her other apts. On the day of my apt i showed up for the new earlier time, 8:30. Alexa did not arrive until exactly 9am with no calls or emails stating we were back to the original apt time. Upon arrival she scoffed at the construction dust and stated there was no possible way she could clean it in the 3 hours i had purchase and that she also doesn't honor living social deals for this sort of mess but she would make the exception. She was extremely rude in stating that this was my fault I should have been clearer and that I shouldn't have very high expectations for the cleaning because it was just too much. I said just clean whatever you can in the 3 hours I paid for concentrate on the kitchen. I left and returned at 11:50. Upon my return she was already packed up and ready to go and waiting. 9-11:50 does not equal 3 hours in my book. Alexa told me she was only able to get to the kitchen (which apparently did not include the pantry closets in the room) and no where else. She also made sure to let me know how much extra work my completely vacant kitchen was to clean and give me some tips on how to be a better customer for the next time I used her services. I found Alexa very rude and condescending. She made me feel like a terrible person for hiring a cleaning company to come clean a house that wasn't already sparkling. She acted very put out that she actually had to clean. I also was not very impressed with her level of clean. I then had to spend several hours, re-cleaning what she had already cleaned. Needless to say, I don't recommend this company nor would I ever use them again.

I saw the great reviews so I called Alexa when we moved down to Manchester. I spoke with her on the phone at the end of August and scheduled a consultation with her for 9 am on Sept 2nd. She told me over the phone that if we agreed on a quote she could come clean my home for me on Sept 4th. I liked her prices and her so I tried to schedule for the 4th. She told me she had overbooked and forgot to put me in so she needed to push me out. The earliest she could do then schedule me was for Sept 15th at 9 am. I postponed all my furniture deliveries until the 16th so I could have a clean house to move them into. I was the only one scheduled for this date and she told me she could do a full house cleaning including washing and waxing my floors. It is now after 10 am and she won't answer any phone calls, emails and she is a NO SHOW!!!!! Very unprofessional. If there was an issue, she should have contacted me. Now I have furniture coming in and no waxed floors. Terrible.

I am a rental property manager and property owner. I have worked with cleaning companies for many years. Never in my life have I seen such unprofessional behavior. After purchasing a Living Social voucher I immediately followed the instructions to redeem it. After over a month I still had not received a return phone call or email. I called Living Social who offered to refund my money. I wanted the work done. The company then changed their policy on redemption. The voucher itself stated to call to redeem the voucher. After a month they changed the instructions so that you had to email them. We did this.Then, their phone message stated that they had five slots left in May. Their site stated that they did not have sufficient staff to redeem the vouchers in a timely fashion. They stated that they were hiring to fulfill the vouchers. Why did they sell over 100 vouchers if they could not fulfill their obligations? After writing and calling them many times, they first booked us and then cancelled us because they stated there was a discrepancy in the number of times that we called them. WHAT???? I received an email that leads me to believe I have been discriminated against. They referenced my mother's cancer. Their email was quite unprofessional and I will post it on several servers. They have changed their name many, many times in a short period of time. Their website indicates that they were Diamond Cleaning Services. Read those reviews.I will stop at nothing to bring the truth out about the way this company treats people. First they book a date and confirm and then cancel it. I invite Yelp to review this letter and our records on the number of calls made in an attempt to get this company to honor its obligation. I am nothing short of appalled at their behavior and the fact that they have wasted our time and money and not fulfilled their obligations. Cancelling a voucher because you don't agree with the number of times we called you (there are records) and taking a pot shot referencing a family member's cancer (we told them we needed the cleaning because of this) is beyond tactless. Other property owners have called me and told me that this person went to the Bahamas after selling a voucher that expired in June. If ONE call in over a month had been returned I would feel differently, but having us wait over a month and finding a ridiculous excuse to cancel is not going to fly. I just hope that I can keep up with their name changes.

Threatened me with having me charged with criminal threatening because we told her we would go to the Attorney General's office regarding her non-fulfillment. She thinks the AG does not handle consumer complaints. (They have an entire division devoted to it.). Threatened to sue me for slander if I posted this experience. Truth is an absolute defense to slander.Said that I was running a scheme! I paid HER money yet by wanting her to do her job I am engaged in a scheme. Clearly, the most troubling letter I have read on so many levels. Needs to get educated about customer service and the law.

Update:I just received a copy of a voice mail wherein this individual states that she was indeed on her honeymoon and lost every single voice mail to her business during the week or so she was there. Since she mentioned nothing about this to me before, she apparently can't keep her stories straight.

In sum, I cannot believe she cancelled a voucher because she accused me of lying about my reason for wanting my house cleaned and the number of times I called her, but I now discover that she lost all the voice mails to her business while on her honeymoon. After being told we needed cleaning because of mother's cancer, wrote, "What kind of daughter are you?" when she thought voucher was for my house not mothers. She then questioned the very existence of a mother, even though that name is on the voucher. So, she does not understand concept of vouchers as a gift and feels entitled to judge the worthiness of your cleaning request. Long story short: without even speaking to me she booked the appointment and then revoked it because of the discrepancies in the reason for cleaning and the fact that she does not think mother exists. NO attempt to resolve situation in a rational, decent manner. Not one phone call to me

This company wasted my time and money, which I still have not had refunded. Owner admitted on her site that she did not have sufficient employees to meet the demands of the vouchers sold. Why sell vouchers you know you can't service?

Alexa and her team are fantastic. We had been using another service for several years that we just weren't happy with and when we moved decided it would be a good time to find someone new. They did an extremely thorough job in detailing our new home so it was move in ready. Some cleaning services rush through and miss a lot of details but they took their time and got everything! Alexa is very accommodating and very reliable and is also very responsive! Highly recommend!

I have used Diamond Shine since before they WERE Diamond Shine. This business has grown for a reason. The staff is friendly and courteous. They are more efficient than a chain of cleaning services because they are willing to tailor their service to what you want. When I had a chain service, they had a particular order and way they cleaned. When I hired Alexa, I told her that (for example) my office often looks like a hurricane hit it. Such is the nature of my work from home. A mess, but a mess that makes sense to me. Her staff knows that there are certain times a year they leave my desk alone (even though it looks terrible and they would fix it) because I need it JUST LIKE THAT. They always focus on the things that are important to me — I HATE cleaning my floors, so they always do those. They are good with my dogs, and sometimes my dogs don't make that the easiest thing.

You must be very clear about what you expect and what you want, and you will get it. Her prices are reasonable.

I would also add that she is flexible on schedules in emergencies. When I found out the Friday before Thanksgiving that I had to host Thanksgiving, she moved heaven and earth to come give my house another cleaning even though it was not my scheduled week. As her staff grows, she becomes more able to do things like that.

The team just left and I could eat off the floors. Seriously. I mean, I won't, because that would be gross, but the point it that I could. Everything is spotless. Even my trashcan is sparkling. Not only are all the basics done to perfection, but the small details that really make for a good clean are here, too. Objects are arranged nicely on shelves, the dusting under things is done… All of it.

I've been with Diamond Shine for a while now, and I cannot say enough about the owner, Alexa. She is incredibly accommodating, wants to know what details are important to me and how I like things done. She has made it clear that if something is not to my satisfaction, she'll fix it, and she will. I can trust the team to have a key to my house, and I have never worried for one second about not being here when the team is.

There is nothing like coming home and seeing and FEELING that someone else has done a cleaning job that I could never do. And on the days that I am here and work from home, they are so easy to work around, which is really rare.

I can't recommend Diamond Shine enough!

I found Diamond Shine through the Living Social deal. I have used 2 different cleaning companies in the past, and my husband always complained about the job they did. I decided to try Diamond Shine based on the Living Social deal. I was very happy with the cleaning job that was done. I also found Alexa to be very professional. She cares about doing a good job, and her goal is to get your house clean to a high standard. My husband was very happy with the job they did, and he is the pickiest, biggest, critic. I also love that they offer linen changes and all I have to do is leave out clean sheets. I am staying with them for bi weekly cleanings and would have no problem recommending them to others.

I saw the great reviews so I called Alexa when we moved down to Manchester. I spoke with her on the phone at the end of August and scheduled a consultation with her for 9 am on Sept 2nd. She told me over the phone that if we agreed on a quote she could come clean my home for me on Sept 4th. I liked her prices and her so I tried to schedule for the 4th. She told me she had overbooked and forgot to put me in so she needed to push me out. The earliest she could do then schedule me was for Sept 15th at 9 am. I postponed all my furniture deliveries until the 16th so I could have a clean house to move them into. I was the only one scheduled for this date and she told me she could do a full house cleaning including washing and waxing my floors. It is now after 10 am and she won't answer any phone calls, emails and she is a NO SHOW!!!!! Very unprofessional. If there was an issue, she should have contacted me. Now I have furniture coming in and no waxed floors. Terrible.

We had the pleasure of having Amanda come and spring clean our two bedroom two bathroom apartment, and she did an amazing job! She was very meticulous and was sure to get everything that needed to be done taken care of.

She went above and beyond, especially with our extensive LEGO collection, dusting every individual one and placing it back where it was.

One star for Uni-Star. Overpriced over their competitors. Who also offer MORE SERVICES! They send in one cleaning person, they do the bare minimum, and then they promise a 100% satisfaction guaranteed. But if you're not satisfied, get THIS, they don't give you your money back. They ask you to let them know you weren't satisfied so they can then offer to come back and clean again. Why would I want you to come back and "clean" a second time after the crappy job of the first time?.. no thanks.

Highly DONT recommend. You're better off doing the cleaning yourself.

Where to begin?? Recently moved into a condo that had been vacant for 6+months. Wanted a thorough cleaning as it had been vacant for so long and due to COVID-19 concerns. Called and scheduled them as they "specialize" in move in/move out cleanings. Biggest waste of money I have ever spent. Swept the floor, left the pile of dirt on the floor, did not clean the inside or tops of any appliances, did not wipe any dirt off any baseboards in the entire condo, did not clean any window sills. I literally have no idea what they did clean. I followed up by both email and phone. I was told that that they "don't clean" the insides of appliances. What? There are photos posted to this website that literally show the before and after pictures of the inside of a refrigerator. Avoid at all costs!!!

Operationally, a mess…I called for a quote and, based on the rate provided, booked my first cleaning online. As the holidays were approaching, I booked for November and December, to ensure I got the time slots I wanted. Shortly after I booked my time slots online, I was informed that both of the time slots I booked were unavailable and my times had been automatically moved. I was also informed that my initial quote had been wrong and the regular monthly service would be $72 more that I was initially quoted. After calling to follow up on pricing, I was informed that the original price I was quoted would be honored for my initial cleaning, this was not the case. My initial clean service was pretty good, but based on the operations of the business being such a mess, I likely won't use this company again.
