Cleaning Ninjas Honest Reviews
First time client. Hired them to clean a rental after my tenant left. Picked Cleaning Ninjas based on reviews. After talking with the scheduling person on the phone, the service was scheduled for the next day at 1pm. At 2pm, with no crew and no call, I called. The scheduling person (same as the day before), stated that she had inadvertently scheduled it for the following day. She was able to locate a crew that could be available within the next hour or so and said she would send them. The first person on the crew showed up within the hour, but the rest of the crew not until about 30 minutes after that. I later received a call from the crew chief that they were about completed, so I went to the house. The crew chief walked me through before they were complete (there was still someone in the kitchen), and I noted that the windows in the two front bedrooms had not been thoroughly cleaned. He stated he would have the windows redone. The team completed and departed. Because the kitchen was still "in progress" during the review, I didn't get a chance to get back in there before they left. When I did, I found the inside of the refrigerator had not been cleaned. I immediately called the team chief, who informed me that refrigerator interiors were extra and that he would call the office and then call me back. I don't know if he ever called the office, but he never called me back. I checked the windows, and they were still not cleaned to standard. I later called the office (after office hours) and left a message, asking them to call me. It has now been five days and no call back. I also found that they did not thoroughly clean the vertical blinds at my patio door, in fact the top rail was not touched at all and had cobwebs and dust. I also found that the kitchen floor may have been swept, but it was obviously not mopped as there were a couple of dirt clumps and when I picked up those clumps with a paper towel I rubbed the floor and the paper towel came back very dirty. Very disappointed, especially with no call back from the company after phone calls to the crew chief and to the company itself. I don't feel like I need to make multiple calls in order to be contacted.

I Really can't express my Displeasure with the Ninja Cleaning. Now WHOM would clean your kitchen counters and Island with a "Feather Duster" ?? Of course I said something and it continued. Their "Check Off List" was NEVER Followed. They would FORGET to Vacuum or Clean the Bathtub and Shower. I would call and they made "EXCUSES". Numerous times the "Same" people I thought did a good job but would drop the ball. Also NEVER give them your Credit Card. I was Charged Numerous Charges after the Fact. That is the way they TRIPLE or DOUBLE Charge. We have such busy Lives. Difficult to keep track. I now have an Attorney & will be taking them to Court. I recently scheduled a cleaning service with the cleaning ninjas. I was quoted $278 for a full house cleaning. Let me just say I will NEVER USE THEM AGAIN. I was charged $446 for a sorry excuse of a cleaning job. I requested that special attention be to paid to the bathroom. The girl was in my master bathroom for 45 minutes "cleaning" and what I found when they left was ridiculous! The supervisor was supposed to walk through the house with me, I had to ask her when she was going to do the walk through because I needed to leave. The walk through was very short and rushed. I said the bathrooms would need to be redone. She asked the girls if she cleaned the bathroom floor. She said yes, the supervisor then said you need to redo it. When I returned home I was so upset to find I was charged $446 and my bathroom looked like it has never been touched. I had to clean it fast as I was having an open house the next day. I called the cleaning ninjas office and was told that would only be able to come reclean the bathrooms. I said I already cleaned them and requested a refund. I was more than willing to pay the amount I was quoted, but she said she could not refund me. Even after reviewing the pictures I emailed her. She then told me she could only see a "little" grime so she had a hard time believing me. For $446 I should be able to eat off my bathroom floor! HORRIBLE CLEANING AND EVEN WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE! DO NOT SCHEDULE WITH THEM!!

When I arrived to the home after the cleaning ninjas had been there, I found they did a very lackluster job. I requested two bathrooms and the kitchen deep cleaned. What I found was dispicable especially considering I was hit with a $370 bill. The stove was still covered in grease and grime, the drawer for pans wasn't even pulled out and was covers in mess. The refrigerator still had mold in it. The shower still had scum in it. The drawers in the kitchen still had mouse droppings and a splotch of sticky something. I sent them photos of what they left behind and offered to go back in but with only a $10 discount. They didn't even offer to finish the job they started and that I paid for. Do not go with this company.

We had two separate issues with this service.
When we came home after their first time clean, we found several small issues (abrasives left on our bathroom counter, walls that we'd asked to have spot cleaned totally missed, leftover wipe marks from whatever they used to clean other spots that damaged the paint permanently, missed trash cans, and, most fun of all, they switched the shower from the top head to the hand held unit and left it pointed straight out of the shower at face level). None of these issues on their own rose to the level of calling to ask that they be redone (or there wasn't anything that could be done about it, like the paint) and we hoped that the missed things were due to the larger job that a first time clean entails.
The second time we found much the same issues with the cleaning- several obvious but small details that weren't cleaned at all, this time including trash cans, one bathroom mirror, a couple of ceiling fans, and a couple of other things. We would have called, except for the fact that just as they were finishing their clean I had a conversation with Loni in their office, which was our second issue.
Loni let me know that they'd misquoted the original cost of $150 and that our cleans would cost $250 going forward. I wasn't shocked- my three kids and I live in our house full time and I cook frequently, so of course there are more burn marks on the stove, smudges on the doors, and mouth prints on the windows than there are in a home with a pair of empty nesters, but she approached it in a rather hostile and unkind way that made it a very awkward and unpleasant conversation.
In the meantime, I found another bonded, insured service that came highly recommended by a couple of friends who can do better work at about half the cost. I had called her first but she didn't have time on her schedule then, and ultimately I'm glad that things went the way they did with the quality of service, because we'll be saving a ton of money in the long run (and, I suspect, a lot of judgment from the person cleaning our home).

Horrible cleaning, terrible customer service! I will never use this company again or recommend their services. We built a new home and our builder's cleaned the house beautifully. I quickly signed up for biweekly Ninja services shortly after to keep the house in good condition. However, that is NOT what we got!
After several months and attempts to get things rectified, all we have been left with is a dirty house and terrible customer service.
All the mirrors were disgusting – left worse than they were before they cleaned. Pink mold started growing in the showers and toilets. Two items were broken on two different occasions. They offer a service of folding and putting away laundry for $5. They would inflate the number of baskets folded and charged $7.50 (if you use them, be sure to get a detailed invoice otherwise you'll never know – or better yet, don't use them). (After ONE cleaning with a new service, these issue were all resolved – at a much better price!).
When I called to work through this, and I was happy to work through it – I think these situations should be a win/win. But they would tell me they would get back to me, they never would. I asked for Katherine, but she was always "busy." Including the time she, unknowingly to me, answered the phone and passed me onto her front line associate. I asked to speak with Katherine and she was unavailable.
I should have taken more pictures of the mold and broken items, but was focused on trying to work with them instead of taking a bunch of pictures.

The team was 3 hours late, and I don't think I would've received a phone call if I hadn't inquired about it first. The move out clean I paid for was excellent if you just look at my bathtub. The rest of the house wasn't worth the money. My fixtures weren't dusted, the vacuum used didn't pick up much dust, there was dirt along the baseboards where a vacuum wand would have benefited, my fridge was only partially dusted, my counters had a sticky residue afterwards, and the mopping of my floors missed glaring areas. Additionally, I paid extra to have the oven cleaned and I was able to get grime off the stove top and inside better myself.

Very disappointed in this cleaning company. I hired them to do a whole house clean prior to moving into my home. I was also quoted 10 dollars for each blind they cleaned. When they showed up they said they only had 2 workers so it would take longer then originally quoted. I stopped by later in the day and was told they would be there a little longer. I thought that was due to being short staff earlier. When I received my bill it was over double my original estimate. It took multiple attempts to even get the owner to discuss it with me. They said I was aware that it was going to take longer which gave them the right to charge extra for the extra time spent. They also said my bill was wrong that I shouldn't have been charged 10 dollars a blind but then acted like they were doing me a favor correcting that. They did not understand the charge for cleaning the blinds based on time not per blind was more expensive and not what I was quoted. Cleaning quality was also quite poor. During my brief walk through I noticed none of the grout or soap scum in the bathrooms was cleaned and she said that was the best they could do. As I have been in the house longer I have noticed the poor cleaning of the floors, doors and multiple blinds that were not even cleaned. Would not recommend.

I will never use this service again! My 16 year old could do a better job for less money.First of all they are way too expensive. But at that price point I expect a clean and straightened house. I did NOT expect to come home and wonder if they had even showed up. First they were scheduled at 8 and I got a call saying we needed to push it back, which was not a problem. I made arrangements to have someone there. No confirmation call was received. But they then arrived 45 minutes early– luckily my husband came home earlier than we had planned.
They did a horrible job. They half dusted. They vacuumed around anything on the floor instead of moving it. My son had a sock on the ground and it was in the same place when they left, same thing with random toys meaning they vacuumed and dusted around rather than under. They didn't make the beds. I expected for over $250 that things would be straightened, a drawer left ajar closed.
I will never use this company again.
They got one star for offering a re-clean and an apology and agreeing to half a refund. Still, a waste of time and money.

I called the Cleaning Ninjas to get the concrete and drywall dust cleaned up and get the house back to normal after having inside drain tile installed. Apparently the scheduler did not understand or communicate my needs to the team assigned because they thought they were only to do a basic one time cleaning. They did a half-way job but missed many details. For instance sand and crumbs were left on the floor under the kitchen cabinets. The person who 'cleaned' the master bath neglected to clean one of two vanity mirrors, left the closet carpet unvacuumed, left the toilet feeling gritty on the outside and top of tank dusty, did not dust the paper holder, did not clean the walk in shower, did not dust/clean the edge of the bathtub. The glass tops on the dresser and night stands were not completely dusted, nor were the lamps. For the price charged I would expect everything to be cleaned well and 'sparkling' as their ads promise. Not so. Their 'ninjas' need to be better trained and supervised. I was not impressed and will not use them again. They certainly do not meet my standards.

I used cleaning ninjas to clean my vacant condo to get it ready to sell. I was told that someone would call me 45 mins before they were done so I could inspect what they did and also I would know about how long they were there. This is important because they charge by the hour. However, I got no phone call, and my several attempts to contact someone at the office were unanswered. I left several messages and when I didn't hear back, I went to my condo and although it was clean, I found every light in the house on, including the ones outside and the front door was unlocked. In my vacant house. They charged more than the estimate I got over the phone. When I did get a call back, the next day, I was told that the ninjas who cleaned my house got a talking to.

I am a previous employee of Cleaning Ninjas. I only could take it about a month. The work is not hard and I never received a complaint on my work. I couldn't understand why they had so much turn over, now I know. The management is horrible, Loni is extremely rude and immature and will throw you under the bus to save her own butt. Recently the owners husband started working there and is trying to throw his weight around and change many policies to HIS advantage. He started deducting lunch times and travel times from our pay checks, saying he goes by the miles and times it takes to get from one job to another on the gps and if our times are over he deducts that pay. He has also taken half hour lunch breaks from our checks when we are NOT scheduled for lunches, Needless to say he has robbed us of hundreds of dollars. There is no time for lunches and 99.9% of the time we barely have time for potty breaks and end up having to use the clients bathroom, much less take a thirty minute lunch break! This man has no business sense and along with the 60 clients that complain about them, this business won't survive much longer. The people that recommend them must not know what a clean house really looks like. The training or lack of training is very poor. If you are a true cleaner you won't need to know how to clean but, they hire anyone because there are people quitting every week. The excuse I hear the management tell the unsatisfied client is that the crew was new, the management doesn't even have your back. We are told every Tuesday when we pick up our shorted checks we are told of all the complaints the clients have against them. After the almost 60 clients dropped them I was ashamed to even tell anyone where I worked. Horrible place to work and I guarantee your house isn't as clean as you think, many experienced ninjas cut a lot of corners, not using the right products on the right surfaces, example using glass cleaner in toilets,sinks,and bathtubs. I wouldn't recommend them EVER! I don't even give them a star, I have to to post!

I scheduled a deep cleaning on Friday August 21st, 2020, I was quoted $160, peiod. 3 ladies showed up and cleaned for 1 hour and 58 minutes. Claudia told me she would only accept the cleaning fee ($160) in cash so I wrote a $30 check for the tips. I examined the cleaning and it looked nice when I gave it a once over. After they left I began examining the smaller things and this is where trouble began! The kitchen counter was not cleaned at all, nothing was moved and cleaned under, several items including door, window, and picture ledges were not dusted. My husband discovered my broken razor stuck behind some body wash bottles in the shower, where the girl hid it. The cartridge to it (because the handle was broken and it would not connect) was hidden behind some shampoo bottles in a different location. My bathroom soap dispenser from Van Muar was cleaned with an abrasive scratch pad and the paint was scratched off of it. I sent photographs of all of this to Claudia! She denied even seeing the scratches on the top of the soap dispenser and said (in a written message) she "would send me a razor" and "I don't want to hear anymore about this". She also said she "would never clean for me again"! BEWARE, DO NOT GIVE THEM CASH, THEY WILL BREAK THINGS AND NOT PAY FOR THEM! YOU WILL NOT GET THE SERVICE YOU PAY FOR! BELOW IS A COPY OF HER MESSAGE TO ME FROM TODAY..
"I see no scratches on soap dispenser and I can mail you a razor. Know this is the last time I want to hear about it. I will not reimburse you for anything else and I will not be able to clean for you again. I have received so many text from you and on one of them you said you checked their work and everything was fine. You tip them and told me everything looked great and they had done a great job"
I politely asked Claudia to come to my home beforehand, to give me an in home estimate and she refused. I made sure that she understood that I wanted my home deep cleaned and cost was not an issue. She is very unprofessional.

Based on that experience we used them also for the place that we were moving out of, and I cannot believe how thorough of a job they did. Maid to Please took advantage of my elderly mother. Charged $350 for a three hour "deep" clean. However, upon inspection, they did not clean anything. Maybe vacuumed and dusted around my mom. But otherwise, they did nothing. I have pictures to prove it. And, I am writing to recommended that if you are evaluating whether to use Maid to Please that you should look elsewhere.

Always a professional crew that comes in….is always great to come home to a freshly cleaned house. They even threw a few rugs in the laundry for me (on several occasions). They take out the trash if full, have done some general pick up too as part of the cleaning. Only have them in once a month and i do the remainder of the month, but they do awesome work, very flexible on scheduling, good communication about any changes in the schedule and always follow up. Great company!

Lack of communication from management. I take care of my 95 year old mother in her home. Maid to Please had said I would have the same crew each time, they were scheduled to clean twice a week. This worked out great for the first few months then they had a crew change. I called to make sure this crew would stay the same. Management said yes. The new crew learned what needed to be done and again worked out fine. Then there was another crew change. I called management again and asked about the crew change. She said my crew was unavailable so she sent a substitute. I wish she would have called to let me know they were sending a different crew. The new crew did not know our schedule and missed or skipped some things. She didn't offer any apology for not calling to let me know of the change. I felt cast aside. She offered to have them come back again to clean the things they missed but I was out of patience.
