Sterling Quality Cleaners Honest Reviews
These guys rock. We had an overflow of sewage in our basement and needed it cleaned up and disinfected. Sterling cleaners were super fast, efficient and friendly. Will highly recommend to anyone who needs this type of service.
– Devi A.
We have been using these guys to clean our carpets in our home for 4 years and up until recently were pretty happy with them.
Last 2 times we've gotten pretty substandard service. We put up with it once but not twice:
* Carpet was left filthy. Dog hair and grime left on the carpet. Lots of it.
* We pay the minimum "3 room" rate ($125). Normally they make up for this by also cleaning our couch and easy chair – usually takes the guy 5 extra minutes.
* Cleaning guy refused to do the couch, even though he was in and ready to leave after cleaning the one room in 15 minutes. He said, "I have other places to clean and I'm running behind"
* When we showed him the dirt we were able to scoop off the carpet, he said "if you're not happy, just take it up with my manager about making it right" and took off.
* We called the manager, mentioned the still-dirty carpet and the couch not getting done. He said, if you want the carpet cleaned again it's $125.
* We said, we just had it cleaned today, and it's not clean. Will you make it right? He answered, if you're not happy with us, call another cleaner, and hung up.
I guess, sadly, avoid these guys, they have lost their integrity.

The water heater in our finished basement blew a leak and we had two inches of water on the floor what a mess. We called sterling and asked for them to come over. What an awesome company. The crew that came to our house was wonderful Bob and his partner worked tirelessly to clean up the water and remove the flooring. I highly recommend using Sterling they really are a QUALITY company.

I scheduled an appointment for today at 8am. It was confirmed via phone and text. Set my alarm expecting them and heard nothing. I've tried calling and texting and received no word. Very unprofessional and a waste of my time!

I used Smartway Cleaning when I posted my apartment on AirBnB and it could not have been a better experience! Poli and her team came automatically whenever there was a change of guests so I never had to worry about a thing. I got 5 stars for cleanliness from every single guest and the cleaning team was super flexible if there was ever a change in the schedule so I could not recommend them highly enough!

No Job 2 Odd Honest Reviews
Chris Croteau is scandalous and so is his workers. They stole my tools, Metal bed frame, computer chair, a safe and busted my Grandmother's cedar chest into pieces that was antique. Chris told me most of his men were criminals and had a drug issues and couldn't keep his workers. Chris himself is a felon. He has a bad temper and drinks. When talking to him on different accounts he was intoxicated and his wife had to take the call. Biggest ripoff, he charged me $100.00 a month which I was using half the storage area and he decided to use the other half without informing me. He stated to me he had to make a buck because I only should have been paying $50.00 but "a guy has to make a living" Do not trust him because in the end you will experience the same scam! He doesn't deserve a rating but it doesn't give you an option. My personal rating, -0.

They fulfilled my request to vacuum and wash the basement floor after it was flooded. However they lost stars in my review based on ancillary items before, during, and after the work as follows:
Before Cody came to see the job and gave me a verbal estimate for $75 an hour to each of both workers, for two hours or $300. I thought this reasonable because the professional cleaners like ServPro would charge more.
I told Cody that I had a professional type bucket, mops, and a shop vac. When they arrived they came with little, including no shop vac. claiming they could not find theirs. Although they did bring a few things, they used mine which was the majority.
I happened to be sitting outside as they went into the basement, so I was aware when they emerged. Maybe I am a stickler, but when you are paying $75 an hour you are not including smoking breaks. One of the two made two such breaks in the period. The other also emerged for a break.
When he had a full vac, he sought somewhere to put the dirt since he had no receptacles or bags for such use. When he emerged to empty the vac my wife asked about masks. They had none, so she provided some for both. Any job like this when you are using bleach with its fumes requires them.
When they were finished Cody said the job now included an extra $30 for supplies. When I objected he said it was for brooms etc. they had to buy. First of all you would expect that was tools of the trade and secondly, they were primarily using my tools. They did take the trash that was related to the flooding, but reminded me they were taking the trash, that I believe he thought was good enough for the extra charge. He waived the additional fee.
After they left I surveyed the basement and found a light bulb they had broken without reporting it and worse left all of my tools filthy. They must of wet and dry vacced together, since it required scooping out the wet filth.
The job was done if neither professional nor perfect, but I would advise anyone who might consider their service to 1. Get a written estimate as well as a receipt, 2. Ask about the tools needed and possessed, 3. Inquire about insurance especially if they have access to anything valuable, 4. Survey the job before you pay and they exit.
