I had a heck of a time finding a cleaning company for my move out from Iowa City. I tried calling around to various businesses and either no one would answer (why?), they didn't offer the type of services I needed (carpet shampooing and a deep clean one time only), or I was promised a return call and then never got one back.
Jany Cleaning was the first place that answered the first time and was actually able to get me what I needed. I appreciated that the same person I scheduled with kept in touch with me, following up when she planned to be at my apartment on the day of cleaning.
I think the pictures speak for themselves. I am very, very impressed with the work done. Picture my place–dusty and with a few ladybug and stinkbug graveyards–and then see what magic Jany Cleaning worked.
Prices seem a bit on the higher end, but for what you get, you are absolutely getting your money's worth.

I need a professional cleaning service after I finished my one month vocation. When I came back I the room is mess up and awful. I called Jany and they responded me very fast. When they come they are very professional and did a great job on my fridge and my floor. The picture tells the truth.
The bad thing is when I tried to find them the second time they gave me 120$per hours and require me to pay at least 3 hours.

Bought a new house and the seller did not leave it in the best condition. Filthy appliances, kitchen was a mess. Jany did a full deep clean from floor to ceiling every room, all the appliances, cupboards, window frames, EVERYTHING. They were the only residential cleaning service who would do carpet extraction/shampooing. Jany is fast, courteous and professional. Not a wasted minute while on the clock. They were also very flexible with scheduling.
One note: when you call it seems they are answering from a personal phone. I was put off by hearing somebody answer with just 'hello?' and the informal phone etiquette, but thankfully they are all business when it comes to cleaning.

Second, the owner (Malinda) is so pleasant to work with. She provided tons of information via email, which is my preferred form of communication. I was scheduled the next week on my preferred day and time! Two wonderful ladies came– Gwen and Marcia are freaking miracle workers. My house sparkles after their visits and they are very kind, professional people.
Third, an invoice was emailed to me shortly thereafter. The pricing is on point and very competitive. It was exactly what we had discussed previously via email. And so it keeps going.

I didn't even end up using this company because Malinda's customer service was awful. She came recommended from someone I respect but after having to continually follow up with her about providing a quote for the work, then once she finally showed up to look at the townhouse she was extremely rude to my tenant and then rude to me when I inquired about the quote.

Having contacted this service for a simple quote, I received a call from Vanessa. During the call, it became increasingly apparent to me that they were inflexible on how they do business. e.g. They would reserve morning or afternoon, but could not be more specific. They WILL NOT do windows. They gave me an estimate of time, before they asked about what I needed to have done. When I told them they did not need to clean appliances because they were new, the estimate did not change. The final straw was they wanted me to pay them now for work to be done six weeks from now. No problem, but they wanted a service fee for using a credit card!! Who does that??? My experience is that if someone is inflexible in the beginning, they only get more inflexible in the process. I went elsewhere.
