I would have liked to recommend this cleaning service. They responded quickly with my quote and got me scheduled; however when it came closer to the appointment (Thursday or Friday before the Monday appointment) they cancelled on me. I responded with a message and was never messaged back. I had already taken off of work to show them around since this was going to be their first visit to my home. The appointment I was scheduled for was moved up due to a cancellation since another customer was going out of town. When cancelling my appointment they told me that other previous customers were returning to their business so they didn't have time for mine. I totally understand honoring other previous customers but It is very bad business to just schedule them in place of my already scheduled appointment days before. I was definitely hoping for a different outcome and even delayed my review in hopes of some correspondence.

I've given CottageCare three opportunities to get with it. The first time they cleaned, they did a decent job. The last two times have been unacceptable. Furniture and rugs still covered in pet hair, countertops neglected, bathrooms barely touched. I'm so mad that I'm out over $100 dollars and yet I'm still cleaning my damn house!

Today was my first experience with Cottage Care. I called and scheduled an appointment with ease however that was the only positive. My appointment was scheduled for 9-9:30. She arrived late. I was not able to be present for cleaning because of work obligations. I was informed my entire house would be cleaned expect the windows. After the cleaning was supposedly complete I was contacted. The house did not look like it had been cleaned! I walked through the home and when I asked the about specific areas she said she forgot and would clean them now. At this point I was behind at work and had wasted so much time thanks to late arrival, I really did not want to wait for her to clean areas that were suppose to be done however I waited. The cleaning lady informed me usually Cottage Care sends two cleaners but today they were busy and only sent her. There is no excuse for the poor quality of cleaning! I hired a company to help make my life easier but this only made life more stressful! I will NEVER use Cottage Care again nor should you.

This is my second experience using Brian Rug Care for my oriental rugs. My first experience was an emergency call when our pipes froze and our rugs were soaked from the water leak. Brian came out and picked up my frozen rugs the very next day AND recommended a water remediation company that were able to start the remediation process the same day as the leak! My rugs were thawed, cleaned and dried out long before my house was ready for them to be brought back inside. The day we received them and rolled them out onto our floors they looked better than they did before the leak!

When I needed 2 smaller orientals cleaned and repaired after one of my pets had a stomach problem, Brian met me at his warehouse to take them to clean and repair. They were quickly ready to be picked up and looked great with no stains, discoloration or bleeding of the dye from the cleaning and the repair to the edges looked just like new even though there was a portion that needed to be rewoven!

Brian is easy to work with, personable and professional–I highly recommend this business if you need your rugs cleaned or repaired!

My mother just sent me her good rugs from my childhood home. She wanted them to be clean for me so she had Brian pick them up, clean them and wrap them. She then sent them to me. WOW these were in the house while I was growing up. He was so nice to my mother and understood how special our family heirloom rugs were to us. They look amazing, just like they were when new.

Most unprofessional service I've dealt with in a long while. Don't waste your time. Even asking for an estimate was too much to for them follow through with.

Requested an estimate for a initial cleaning. Barbi Davis, president of the organization, came to my house on October 7th and was very dismissive and short. Walked the area needing to be cleaned then said that she would email me an estimate. She said they did have an opening on October 13th to clean the house. Having received nothing, I sent an email on October 11th stating that I needed the estimate prior to any service being rendered. As of 17:30 on the on the 12th, there has been zero followup from the company.

Fortunately, I was taking bids and scheduled another company that was more than willing to have the business. If Teays Maids can't be bothered to give an estimate, I seriously question their ability to meet any expectations when it comes to cleaning.

I would give negative stars i f I could. Any company that excuses and defends shoddy work, horribly miserable rude employees and that is willing to lie to customers should get no stars. I never bother to write reviews, but this is unacceptable.

me: I'm not sure, I definitely get a terrible attitude from the woman who drives the white car. I've asked three weeks in a row for her to text me when they leave so I can go back inside and she will not. They also only spend about a half hour and i don't feel they are being thorough. My bathroom smells worse after having it cleaned once a week than it did when I was only able to clean it every two weeks or so. I feel like I have to clean ahead of them (which I get) And behind them (which I should not have to do). And last week there were two rooms they didn't have to clean And still weren't thorough they didn't even touch the shower or the bathroom floor last week

Them: Both of the ladies that we've been sending to your house tend to be fairly cut and dry personality wise. I will say we've told all the employees sending texts/giving out their personal cell numbers is up to them, if we have a request for texts when finishing up and they don't want to be the ones to text I have them let me know so I can let the customer know. Though I'm not sure why they wouldn't let you or I know this.

We always try to start by working with the team to make sure they understand issues and are able to learn from any problems.I will talk to them about their time, being thorough and making sure everything is being done correctly.

I can take you off for tomorrow, or Barbi or I will can come out tomorrow while they're there and do a quality check on the team, to see how things have been done.

In the future please don't hesitate to call immediately if there are issues, that way we can have them come fix anything that needs it so you aren't having to go behind them to do things that were missed or not done well.

Me: if they didn't feel comfortable texting they shouldn't have said they would. And they were friendly And had no problem texting me they were done before I expressed concern to Barbi that they had totally missed an entire area. Also, it's more than cut and dry it's plain unfriendly and rude. Not my jam. I don't appreciate excuses for your employees unfriendly and rude attitudes. I'll speak to Barbi tomorrow, I'm the meantime what do you have available for next week

final result: we got dropped from the schedule permanently.

Didn't even show up for initial appointment. Travis called to confirm noon appointment at 10:24. At 11:54 calls to tell me he is about 25 miles away, stuck in traffic. When I asked why he waited so long to head my way, or call 6 minutes before appointment time, his reply was "well, I just don't think we can do business ". After reading other reviews, it appears this actually turned out to be a good thing.

If I could leave a rating less than one star I would. Their service was poor for the price. Instead of our home smelling clean, it wreaked of smoke from the chain-smoking housekeepers and the "deep clean" seemed more like a regular clean with dusting of the light fixtures. I feel like we've been had. Paid an outrageous amount for the initial clean, but will never use again.

This company epitomizes poor customer service. After getting a rag stuck in my food dispenser, they refused to pay the $130 bill to have it fixed. The owner is anything but helpful and was always aggressive in conversation. Overall, the cleaning was sub par. I've had other cleaners do a much better job for less money.

I highly recommend looking elsewhere if you want a quality housecleaning company.
