First off, I rarely review anyone. Call it lazy, but I only bother if the service is amazing or something you should run away from. Papa Bear's was amazing. They were responsive and communicative which is refreshing. The cleaning team was professional and pleasant. Most importantly though, I have to say I have never experienced such a detailed, thorough cleaning, complete with before and after pics of some of the stuff they did. On a downside…we THOUGHT we kept a really clean house, LOL..

I hired Papa Bears to clean an empty two bedroom apartment before I moved in. The lady that showed up did an amazing job cleaning in the kitchen but did not finish the apartment before leaving. I had left before she did and she kept asking how long I wanted her to stay. I told her that I wanted her until the entire apartment was cleaned. When I arrived the next day, the bath tubs had not been cleaned nor had she cleaned out the bathroom cabinets. She also did not clean the floors in the main areas which we black with dirt. When I reached out to the owner, I had to call twice to get him as he didn't return my call. He said that she did clean everything (he was not there) and told me that I had made the floors that dirty In The two days I had been there. I paid $200 to essentially have a kitchen cleaned and 2 bedrooms vacuumed. I cannot recommend this company!

Needed a move out cleaning of our 2 story 3br, 3ba house. BSC responded quickly to the request for quotation and had a competitive price in the middle of the other quotes. They were good at communicating as we finalized the day and time, and when they arrived and finished. They showed up on time and did a very thorough job of cleaning in 3 hours. We bought a new house recently, so we hired Bright Sunshine Cleaning to clean up the house before we moved anything in. Based on the great reviews, I was really surprised by their service.
I've never hired cleaners before because the idea of hiring people to clean up my mess felt weird, but cleaning up other people's mess seemed kosher 🙂
Scheduling was fairly easy. My husband took part of the day off from work to be there for their arrival.
To start, they showed up 20 minutes late to clean the house. Apparently, they seemed really confused when they walked into the house and there was no furniture in it. It didn't seem like they were told what they were supposed to be doing, which was focusing on the kitchen and the bathrooms to make sure they were sanitized before we moved in, cleaning the windows, removing any cobwebs, and cleaning the floors. Unfortunately, none of them knew English well enough to communicate about what they were doing or questions they had.
They did the job within their estimated time, and we wrote them a check. They don't mention this until it is time to pay, but you have to pay cash or check.
I got to the house later, and the cleaning job was, frankly, pretty dang mediocre. There were still a number of cobwebs left in the corners of the windows, some grime left on the toilets, the tub wasn't cleaned, and the countertops sticky with residue of some kind. It's possible I just have high standards for cleanliness, but I expected a lot more for a cleaning job I paid $200 for. If you are on the fence about paying for a cleaning and willing to do the work yourself, I would personally recommend either going with a different service or pocketing your cash and doing it yourself.

Emma and co were great. She was one of few cleaners I reached out to that worked on Saturday. She responds quickly to messages quickly. They showed up on time and completed my move out clean in about 2.5 hours. They did great work for a reasonable price. I would hire them again. Only con is they are cash/check only so you have to go to the atm or dig out your checkbook.

Emma and her team completed both a move out cleaning in one house, and a move in cleaning in a different one for me. Both cleanings cost very reasonable prices – paid by cash or check – and were completed in just a few hours. She was very flexible with my cleaning date, and responsive to messages. Emma was also understanding when my rental's electricity/water were turned off (it was our last day in the rental!) I rushed home from work to check in on them when I found out, but they were almost finished cleaning. Her husband and another cleaner finished the house cleaning in less than ideal circumstances, and without complaint! They kept reassuring me that they were fine and close to done, and didn't need water from next door. I felt awful, but was grateful for their perseverance and hard work! They did a great job in both houses, especially given the circumstances in one house!

They didn't need to vacuum my carpets because they were just cleaned so I thought the price would've came down a bit. The "deep" cleaning I requested and received has continued to frustrate me more and more as I think about it. From corners and edges that were not cleaned to entire rooms that were clearly ignored, this company focused more on getting out as soon as possible than actually doing a thorough cleaning. I even asked ahead of time if they would stick around longer if more cleaning was needed (and I made it clear I'd pay any additional cost), but they just did a slipshod job and left only to ask me how I'm paying (without asking me to inspect any of their work).
Additionally, I have found some of my stuff has been rearranged (though I offered to help move things to keep a certain organization system). To make matters worse, they threw stuff out without asking me either, including spray bottles and soap bottles that I frequently refill to save on plastic. While the monetary value associated with these items is minuscule, I take issue with the pervasive lack of communication.
Overall just a lack of attention to detail and disrespect has soured my experience with this company. I would heavily advise anyone interested in getting their apartment cleaned to find someone else.

The arrived a few minutes late, but overall the cleaning job was good. I hired them for a vacant house cleaning before being listed. Overall pretty good work for the price. My biggest issue was when I completed the online estimate request, they asked square footage range. My house is 1500 sq/ft. The range was 1001-1500. They told me the price was $180. Upon booking, I was informed since my house was at the top of that range, it was an additional $20. The only reason I still booked was because they were still cheaper than the other companies.

Fantastic work! I hired this company for a move out clean and they were awesome. They came the very next morning with a full team ready to work. Everything is spotless! Our newborn was about turn one and we had not done a deep clean of the house since the night before he was born. The Natural Zen team took their time and did a thorough job. The simplest way to describe the results, our home looks brand spanking new. The oven is pristine. The fridge is white. Fans, toilets, baseboards, fixtures – shiny, shiny, shiny, shiny! Worth every penny.

Reasonable quality of cleaning. A bit overpriced but that was my choice so no problem. However, they constantly fluctuate their pricing and it ends up being very confusing. In addition, they tend to complain a lot about actually cleaning via their sales/customer service questions. This person sends very long confusing texts while they are at your place, complaining about the place being "messy" or "in disarray" and using it to justify half effort while charging more than actually planned for. They have lost things and then denied actually ever seeing it until I show pics of the items there right before their arrival. I hate to be negative but it's worth noting before hiring. Find a cleaning service that doesn't give you a headache.

We love working with Natural Zen! We have them come every few months for a deep clean and have been working with them for about 2 years. Their team always does a thourough job and our house looks amazing when they finish. The team is always friendly, timely, and professional. Scheduling can be kind of a pain, and one frustration is that you can usually lock in a time only a few days in advance. It's also a bit pricey relative to other services. I hired zen cleaning to come back in March and I hope before you do hire them that you read this review – it was incredibly difficult and inconvenient to schedule. They requested I not be in my home when they came and returned home to some missing items. Not only that I discussed with the owner that I would pay on Venmo. 24 hours before the two cleaning members came I was told that they required a credit card to be kept on file but that if I paid on Venmo I wouldn't be charged. Low and behold they charged my credit card without my consent and I was charged a $131.31 processing fee on a $118 cleaning. They did a horrible job on top of that – save yourself from getting scammed and buy your own essential oil diffuser. All they did was vacuum and use an essential oil diffuser. My bathroom was still dirty, no sheets changed, and my kitchen floors were still dirty. I have physical differences and have trouble getting on my hands and knees to clean so I feel completely scammed and taken advantage of. Essential oil diffusers are $10 on Amazon don't fall for the gimmick.

Let me preface this review by saying we've had two services done by this company so far and cleaning-wise we have been happy with the work.
The first one was a deep-clean which while pricey for our smaller 1 story 3 bedroom, 2 bath home and (& we only had them clean 2 of the 3 bedrooms) we were willing to pay it. The workers were very personable. From what I could tell they didn't speak allot of English but that was ok as my husband's first language is Spanish.
We had already signed up for their monthly cleaning service prior to the first deep clean & were told when they left that someone would get in touch to schedule the next service….they never did and we were billed twice..my husband called first to get the bill sorted out which they did nicely & then had to call again when nobody ever followed up with scheduling.
So we finally get our next service and once again we're told we will recieve a call to set up our next appointment. It's been OVER A MONTH AGAIN & NO CALL! So my husband calls again and is told 'they will call us back to reschedule, sorry for the mixup but they can't schedule us now as their system is down'. That call took place 4 or 5 days ago and there still has been no follow-up.
Now my husband is looking into new cleaning services. It's such a simple thing to keep a client on a monthly calendar this just seems inexcusable. Also, both times they needed to reschedule on us which really screwed up our schedule.
To conclude if they had not been late, scheduled as promised & followed through this would most likely be a 5 star review but this hassle is definitely not worth it.

Gave great detail during the estimate process and they provided an incorrect quote- luckily I caught that they had not included pet pricing and was fixed.
On the day of cleaning, they arrived at the wrong apartment, no phone call, nothing. When I noticed they were 20 minutes late, I called the office and the manager provided me with a phone number to the crew to give directions to my door- none of which spoke English, also fine but not sure how that is supposed to work.
Cleaning was okay, but what really gets me is the horrible customer service of this company. I never received an invoice on how to pay due to their lack of organization. They charged my card without consent. But at the very least they got the amount correct.
I am STILL receiving invoices for someone else's account. I have emailed this company many, many times to correct and no action is ever taken. I had one cleaning in July of 2019 and am still, in December, checking my credit card statement out of fear that my account is linked to another customer's name. No one will correct. Customer service acts defensive, and offers a myriad of reasons why it "isn't their fault."
At this point I'm collecting evidence and reporting them. Be cautious.

Totally horrible guys. They will just eat your money, Beware. I called them last week for the house clean and choose Purity for the cleaning option. They came at 5 on last Saturday in the evening and started to clean. In 15 mins Kristen the manager texted me that house is heavily soiled so they will charge extra $33 per person *4 per hour for extra hours. I clean my house everyday. of course there are some stains on the floor , oils on the backsplash and some spider webs otherwise why should I call cleaning service if my house is already clean. instead of extra pay, I excluded the ground floor room and bathroom so that they can use that time to clean 1st and 2nd floor.
within an hour and half, cleaning lady came and told me its completed. and we cannot do more because 'no time' . I went upstairs to check. I asked them its not clean. they replied' No time'. and they went outside in hurry. when I went upstairs in 2nd floor, I saw dusts all over outside my bedroom. I took a picture and send to Natural Zen and they replied this service is based upon square footage. So I paid $229 and how much square footage they cleaned ? just by master bedroom and bathroom ?
Does that make any sense to Digest $229?
apart of that, they mixed up all the garbage in one bag . I had to open the bag and filter recycle and trash one by one. Kristen the Manager asked me that she will escalate to the owner and the owner will call back. but they didn't call back .

I always assumed it would be expensive, it wouldn't meet my OCD standards, or that I wouldn't be able to trust the people cleaning our home. The admin team at Natural Zen cleaning was very professional, quick to respond, and helped us set up a cleaning schedule that met our needs. I submitted for a quote and received a detailed response very quickly. I was impressed with their transparency and clarity in how much it would cost and what services would be provided for each service level.

I really hate coming on Yelp to dish out bad reviews but this place was close to the most unprofessional business I've ever interacted with. There are plenty of other good options in the Triangle so be wary of this one. Not only were they wildly inaccurate in their estimate but also incredibly rude in customer interactions. We ended up with a 1/2 clean house and an earful of reasons that made no sense. The estimate they provided was off by 50%!!! If your estimates are off by that much maybe you need to re-evaluate how you are giving estimates? We would have been happy to pay more if we were given any actual reasons but instead we just got an earful of excuses that made no sense given what was described and laid out in the initial quote and a whole bunch of rudeness. I'm not sure if something changed recently on their management side but they certainly have a lot to work on.
Just to be clear, the actual cleaners did a very thorough job on the portion they did clean. This review rests squarely on the gross mismanagement of this business.
I'm not going to get into yet another back and forth with this owner, it has obviously been a fruitless exercise given the complete ineptitude and lack of customer service. Attached are photos of the remainder of our house that was left uncleaned. Yelpers reading this can make their own judgement about the "condition" of our home and it requiring 50% more time than the already agreed upon more expensive deep clean service plus this mystery extra 42 minutes he alleges provided at his cost. What a joke

I appreciate that the initial interactions, estimate, website and emails were detailed and easy-to-navigate.
On the day of my initial cleaning, however, I was very disappointed. My emailed estimated arrival time was between 12:30 and 12:45. I was then texted an estimated arrival of 1:15pm. The team arrived around 2:15pm. I did inform the office who then offered a discounted rate for the inconvenience, which was appreciated. However, then after 3 hours of service, I was notified that an additional hour at a rate of $99 was requested. This was at odds with a policy posted on their website that the client will be alerted within the first hour of the service if extra time will be estimated.
Ultimately, while the office staff was responsive, between the extra cost, late request for extra time and team being an hour late, I would not use this service again, would not recommend the company, and would recommend caution to anyone else who does.

We have been using Natural Zen Cleaning since October 2017. Their cleaners are excellent and do an impeccable job. It is for that reason alone that we have remained loyal, recurring monthly customers because their administration and scheduling is by far the most disorganized and poorly managed of any cleaning service with which I've interacted.
Over more than two years, I have had to be in touch with management on a monthly basis to ensure our service is even scheduled — and more often than not, they have not remembered to schedule us or they have to request our flexibility as they scramble to find a time slot to accommodate us. Earlier this year, they transitioned to a new scheduling service which has served as a routine excuse for why their recurring customers were not being automatically scheduled or for why conflicting text messages or reminder emails were sent and then retracted.
The purpose of paying for a cleaning service is to alleviate stress and outsource time-consuming chores. Unfortunately, Natural Zen Cleaning is unable to deliver on that and it is my hope that their cleaners, who do the highest-quality work and are incredibly professional, do not suffer for the lack of competence in the company's management. In fact, it may be in their best interests to seek work elsewhere where their schedules are handled with more care and courtesy!

i moved to durham in june and my sister hired this company to do a move in clean as a welcome gift. unfortunately when they arrived the water was not on at the house. my sister asked if they wanted to reschedule–instead they told her there "was enough water in the lines to clean the house." i thought this was odd but trusted that they wouldn't lie about it. when i arrived i could see they had not been truthful. the floors were filthy. the bathtub was still covered in soap scum and hair–and the icing on the cake was mouse poop all over the kitchen. when i called they told me "there was a misunderstanding and that my sister probably told them to do the best they could." that's ridiculous. why would she pay them for a move in cleaning when clearly they wouldn't be able to properly clean the place? we spent the day after moving in cleaning up mouse poop, hours on our hands and knees scrubbing the kitchen and bathroom floors and we are nowhere near done. save your money and use someone you can trust. these people are crooks.

We had an initial purity treatment and they covered all of the bases- dusting, blinds, floors, counters etc plus nice touches like organizing trinkets, laundering towels and making the bed with fresh sheets. I was amazed at how thorough they were. I signed up for an initial Harmony service, which is the full service! They did everything! Hercilia was great, and very communicative about their progress. I am already booking my weekly services with them now. I can't wait to come home to a clean house like this on a regular basis.
When I say thorough, I mean our baseboards look good enough to eat off of, and even the fire alarms are cleaned and dusted! (The fire alarms are clean! Seriously!) They left nothing untouched! They even wiped down and dusted the decorative apothecary bottles we have on the top of our kitchen cabinets! I haven't touched those since we moved!
My home smells and looks incredible. The aroma therapy services they provide are great. I got this really great whiff of ginger when I walk into my kitchen which is very calming. Reminds me of good cup of tea.
The all-natural cleaning products don't leave anything with a coating, or a waxy look or feel. An added bonus is I don't have to worry about my boxer, since all of their cleaning supplies are all natural, so no harsh chemicals around my crazy pooch!
Give them a shot, I know it's weird that a company has perfect reviews, but they have perfect reviews for a reason. They really work hard for them! Don't be surprised if you are adding to these 5 star reviews after they take care of you!

I have had my apartment cleaned by Lucie's multiple times, often incompletely, but hey it was better than having to do it myself. This week's occurrence was the last straw.
Despite having given them detailed maps and instructions for how to enter my apartment building, I still have to wait for them to arrive and escort them in because they repeatedly get lost. Most recently, they arrived 30 minutes late for the appointment, then they were "lost" for an additional 15 minutes–all while Lucy told me they were parking on my street. After having waited 45 minutes (making me late to a meeting), they still had not arrived, and I had to return to my apartment later that afternoon to let them into the building. When I returned 2 hrs later, several areas in the apartment were uncleaned, including trash they just piled up on a table and did not throw away.
If you want to wait around, be inconvenienced and then receive sloppy work, Lucie's is right for you.

We used this service for just under a year. The first couple services were spectacular, but quality quickly deteriorated.
At first, Lucie was very attentive. She followed up after our first cleaning, and she was willing to add customized features, such as vacuuming the couch. They were even able to get an old stain out of our ottoman.
They are inconsistent with their scheduling. Although I have a set date on the calendar (every other week), there is no set time. Lucie emails a few days ahead of time to say the time she'll come. These emails are sporadic and inconsistent. Once, they forgot to come by altogether. This amounts to a minor irritation, but it demonstrates the service's inability to pay attention to details.
Near the beginning of this year, the price increased and the quality decreased. They started to come in and give a mere precursory cleaning: They would sweep, empty the trash, wipe down the bathrooms, and call it finished. Dirt accumulated in the corners, on the cabinets, etc. Lucie claims that she's always happy to fix something that's missed, so I began to email with more frequency, notifying her that there wasn't enough attention paid to the bathroom, that they forgot their commitment to vacuum the couch regularly, or that other details were skipped. At the next service, they would fix the previous error but skip something new.
Finally, I sent a series of pictures to Lucie outlining the overall lack of quality. She simply said that she would come by next time to "see what's going on." Frankly, this was insulting: It felt as though she didn't believe my complaint (or my pictures.) But, I gave her the benefit and waited until she came by after the next service. At this visit, she concluded that some of the dirt and grime was permanent: They had neglected it so repeatedly that there was nothing they could do to fix it. When I pointed out that this was their fault, she didn't respond.
If you're looking for someone to spend an hour doing a bare-bones "tidy," they are perfectly competent. However, I expected more from a regular service.

Beware the additional hidden fees! I've hired cleaning services numerous times, and people have always been upfront with me about cleaning costs. It's typically $30-40/hr per person, depending on the area. When I went to pay the bill, I was hit with a hefty "appliance fee," $50 for the fridge and oven. The dishonesty was staggering. I had chosen Lucie's for its rates. I could have picked another cleaning service for that price.
Also, after my move-out clean with Lucie's, that evening someone tried to break into my apartment. Of course, that could be just coincidence, but there's something shady about their whole business.

We have used Lucie's for years for biweekly cleanings and always have been impressed by their excellent work and professionalism. I always got quick responses to email questions or requests for changes to dates for cleaning. The one time over three years that a glass was broken during cleaning, I was informed right away and Lucie's offered to subtract the cost from the next cleaning. I also appreciated that the team asked for specific instructions about what type of cleaning products we preferred on our hardwood floors and countertops. There were a few times that we were unable to get onto the calendar for an extra cleaning on only a few days notice (like before hosting a party), but it is totally understandable — Lucie's teams are in high demand! Though some reviews have complained about "hidden fees," we always found the fees very transparent and fair — you get a list of each additional service and how much it costs up front (such as for changing sheets on each additional bedroom), and we were never surprised. It was a joy to walk into a clean home, and I never once had second thoughts about having the crew come in to clean the house when we were not home.

They called to reschedule the night before then showed up over an hour later than scheduled with no excuse and no apology. I paid for a deep clean and they left dust on the picture frames, in corners of room, house trim, etc. They said a deep clean should take 3 hours but left well before that time and left us without a clean home. They failed to clean the dining room chairs and to top it off they scratched my new sink. Very unhappy with the service and would not recommend.

Unfortunately, I would not recommend Cenaida House Cleaning. They have been consistently unprofessional, late for scheduled appointments, and have done a poor job cleaning . They (i.e. the owner) were given many chances to change their attitude towards their work and weren't able to do so. Unprofessionalism included not being punctual (i.e initiated contact with owner to find out whereabout), left work unfinished in a worse situation (i.e. left cleaning rags, did not complete cleaning services, etc) and without notice left abruptly. Ultimately, will no longer utilize them and cannot give positive reviews regarding our experience with the company. Our experience was so bad that we would not give the company one star however that is the lowest rating to give on Yelp.

YIKES! I cannot in good faith recommend these cleaners at all. After several visits and Cenaida being total adverse to any of my concerns about the cleanliness after she had left, I began interviewing new house cleaners. The first one showed up in a black uniform hours after Cenaida and her 2 workers left. The new woman walked around pointing out spiderwebs, dust on vents, pictures/photos not dusted, and poor mopping of floors. When the new lady had finished inspecting, her black uniform was covered in dust from my house. I felt like I had been totally duped by Cenaida.
Just beware when you pay your hard earned $$ to a cleaning service that stays only an hour and leaves your home superficially clean.

I used them for a Christmas gift for my wife. Scheduled it for January so things could be a little back to normal after the holidays.
