This was my first time using a home cleaning service and I really liked it. They charge a flat rate which helps you know exactly what you're going to be paying in total based on your space.
You can also add on extras for additional cleaning, I added stove cleaning for $20, totally worth it!
They were at my condo for about three hours total and were very thorough, cleaning all the bathrooms until they shined, they even cleaned the garbage cans. They dusted all the rooms and took time and care cleaning the floors and counters. When they left the place looked as good as it did when we first moved in and it was brand new.
Definitely worth it as a treat before the holidays or company comes to visit, I have recommended them to friends and would use them again.

We booked mad maids for a first time deep clean with a set up bi weekly upkeeping clean thereafter.
Today was the first day and will need to cancel upcoming appointments.
Nothing was dusted, bed side tables, bathroom counters, tops of dressers and shelves all left dirty. Second bathroom tub/ shower were not cleaned. The door rails in the shower not cleaned, only the door.
There were cleaning bottles left in two different rooms. The fridge interior was not cleaned. The product used on all stainless appliances left smear marks all over them, bath mat thrown onto and left on my bedroom floor in a pile.
Mirrors were left dirty, blinds and window sils left dirty. Bathroom floors on second level left unwashed. Essentially paid 180 to have the toilets cleaned and floors vacuumed.For a first time " deep clean" with everything

Overall they did a good job cleaning.
My house is a bi-level split. Only 900 square feet with 3 tiny bedrooms and 1 full and one 1/2 bath. One "bedroom" is so small that we use it as a storage room and therefore they did not have to clean it. Our living room, 2nd bedroom and 1/2 bath are downstairs cause that's how our house was built. I still paid the flat rate for a 3 bedroom/2 bathroom house, but was questioned and I was made to feel like they didn't have to go downstairs and clean because it is the "basement."

Also the deep clean includes a wiping of the kitchen cabinets and they were still completely dirty. Only one of the 2 beds were made.
The floors, oven and bath tub were cleaned well though.

I'm a real jerk. I hired these folks to clean my place before I moved out, and realized truly how much of a pig I am.
They were able to get there 10 minutes after 5 during Friday rush hour. Upon arrival, I already felt bad. They were very nice. If they were evil and cruel like the Libyans that shot Doc Brown, I would have had no problem. I let them start their work, and went across to the Beggar.
Coming back when they had finished was life-changing. The place was spotless. Bathrooms looked fit enough for royalty to take a dump. Carpets were vacuumed well. THEY CLEANED MY GARBAGE CAN. The one place I've never cleaned because it's where my trash goes.
Amazing job to Desiree and her partner at Mad Maids. I'll be getting a regular service at my new apartment, and know exactly where to turn.

What a breath of fresh air! I have used other cleaners in the past and I cannot express what a pleasure it is to have Mad Maids take care of my home! The ladies are wonderful, service is superb–they lift objects and clean under them, not around–and they are super careful. My home smells fresh and clean for a longer period of time because they actually clean superbly. I have a teenage boy and an active preteen girl, work full time and cart the 2 kids to all their activities so things are super hectic in my home. Today I had Mad Maids come through my home to clean it alongside my regularly cleaning. My partner and I are listing our house for sale on Tuesday, so we were hoping to have things spotless with an extra clean from professionals alongside our regular practice.
I'll start with the good. Mad Maids has a fantastic online booking system. There's no question that it's easy to see the price for your space. It's really easy, really slick, and has fantastic reminders telling you when folks will be coming to your space to clean it. All of this was great, and I have no complaints.
Alongside the awesome booking system, their central customer service was equally amazing. I communicated with a fantastic lady who listened to my concerns (see next section), and responded as best she could. They have a great 200% guarantee in that if it's done poorly the first time, they will send someone out to fix it. In my case, however, this wasn't satisfactory as we have a very obvious deadline and a packed schedule between now and then.
While the customer service end was very good, the actual cleaning was less than satisfactory for me, and, in my opinion, sloppy at best. I actually ended up checking the price menu following my service, and realized my cleaners had missed dusting furniture, cleaning my microwave, cleaning my oven (which I had actually paid extra for), cleaning one set of my blinds (which I had paid extra for), vacuuming my furniture, and running the dishwasher. Needless to say, I wasn't impressed with the actual clean itself. That said, I did send an email to customer service, and they did their best to try to "right" the situation, but it wasn't really possible with the timeline I'm currently operating under.
As it stands, what I paid for is rather overpriced for what I got. Generally I feel like their rates are reasonable based on what their cleaning menu is supposed to include, but I didn't get a good portion of what I'd paid for, and thus feel like I overpaid for what I received.

I have now used Mad Maids for the 2nd time. Their pricing strategy is quite different from other cleaning services in that they charge a flat rate based on the number of bedrooms in a home. This worked out well for me when I was in a townhouse (with basement) not so much with a condo. HOWEVER, I was so satisfied with the initial service they provided (move in move out) that I requested the same staff start performing a bi-weekly clean for me.
I have to say, I am very satisfied with their work and for context: I have used about 4 other companies/ individuals within YYC.
The Mad Maids staff were friendly, required no supervision and quite professional. They are detail oriented which is what I NEED as my place is usually relatively clean.
Unfortunately the team I used is heading on vacation and I will not be able to get them for my next 2 services, so I only hope the other staff was as great as my initial folks.Also, 3 months between by 1st and 2nd service I realize I had double paid for a particular add on service (by selecting it in 2 categories), I wrote the customer service and within 1 day they had contacted me with a satisfactory resolution and even called to follow up.
Especially in an industry with a lot of competition, Quality and Service are really the driving factors. This far, Mad Maids has really delivered a top notch service in both service and quality and I hope they keep it up (remember I have only used the same team twice).

I frequently work long hours which means I end up doing less cleaning than I should as a 30+ year old male. I've tried a few cleaning companies before but honestly they're a hassle to book and the service has always been average. A friend told me about Mad Maids and I'm glad she did. I booked online, they got to my house in short notice and did a fantastic job. I'll definitely be using them again.

I am updating this review after receiving an email from Mad Maids about my review. Right after I posted I received an email from the Manager requesting to send another team in the fix the problems I had at no charge even though it was past the 24 hour guarantee period. I was super impressed that Mad Maids reached out to me to rectify the situation. Had the follow-up cleaning yesterday and the job was beyond excellent! Very happy with the follow-up service and the customer service overall. I will be using Mad Maids again for sure!
_______________________________I used MadMaids for the first time and I would say they were pretty good but there were a few items I was not 100% happy with
1. Their attention to detail was not the best. I paid for a deep clean and there were corners that were not wiped down and pockets of dust missed. Additionally, they didn't wipe down things like the light switches or the fridge handle or get at the dust under the TV stand
2. I am not 100% certain the floors were washed / mopped. I know they swept and vacuumed but there were still spots on tile and hardwood after they left that were in plain sight
3. I thought I had read if you leave out clean sheets they will change / make the bed (maybe I was wrong) but this was not done. My bedroom bed wasn't even made so not sure what happened thereI was pretty sick on the weekend so decided to not call within the 24-hour timeframe to have some items fixed as I really didn't want any more people in the house.

They sent 2 cleaners who spent a grand total of 40 minutes in my condo, and didn't even mop! See my other review for details.
I have since sent 3 emails and twice left a phone message for Ray, the Owner/Manager, to give them the opportunity to right this wrong, with no reply.

Update: MIB recently switched me to a new cleaning crew. The new crew is very reliable (no last-minute cancellations); and they've been doing a great job on the cleaning.
I've been using Maids in Blue for a few months, on a regular bi-weekly schedule. The cost is reasonable, staff are very friendly, and the cleaning has ranged from good to excellent. The website scheduling is very convenient, and makes it easy to change the cleaning date when necessary. I like the email reminders 'cause sometimes I forget. 🙂
A couple of times MIB has had to change my cleaning dates / times due to their own scheduling or staffing issues but I'm able to be flexible so this wasn't a problem for me. And I've had good communication and excellent service from the owner as well as the supervisor who oversees the staff in my area.

He advised that they guarantee their service and offered a re-clean of our apartment, which was subsequently scheduled. I asked for a move out clean and had a quote given to me. Once the women came they contacted the mgr and said the suite was extra dirty and I was told that it would cost an extra $50 and I agreed. When the job was done the appliances were not moved therefore not cleaned, also around the trim and the floors were barely cleaned. I could of done a better job if I had the time.

If I could give a zero I would. They would not follow instructions, and did things I did not want done,while messing up what they did do. They came almost one hour later than scheduled, and they insisted We needed a deep cleaning, which I refused several times. They did not respond well to either emails or attempts to phone. A pet training aid was broken, with the pieces left on the counter, and when I complained, the ultimate result was the cleaner denied dropping it, and the company would make it all better by not charging us for the deep cleaning that I refused. Above all, do NOT give your credit card info to them. Despite telling them
I would pay cash, they posted the bill to our account well before they came.
This was the worst experience I have ever had with a cleaner.I am prepared to edit this review somewhat. After Ray, the owner, returned to town, and reviewed what had gone on, he contacted me with many apologies. He stated that staff had been spoken with, because their words and actions did not portray what he wanted to see in his company. We were reimbursed for the breakage. If this had been handled in this fashion from the beginning, I probably would not have been as negative, but we likely would not be having them back. Their apparent lack of English was just too irritating to deal with.

I needed cleaners in a pinch because I was moving into a new apartment and wanted it to be spotless. They came in the next day with 2 cleaners and did the job! They even went over and above a little to get a little more done. I had been communicating with their switchboard person who wasn't very knowledgable and kept referring me to the website. Would have been nice to just communicate with the cleaners directly when I had questions instead of awkwardly have calls back and forth with their switchboard person. Also, they should be telling the customer directly what pricing is if we're already on the phone. They also promised to look into additional services for carpet cleaning but I never ended up hearing back. Overall I was satisfied with the cleaning service and would probably use it again if needed. Pricing is a higher than others who work independently.

I called maids in blue for move-out cleaning for a 1-BR condo and for charged $397. I wouldn't complain if the condo was cleaned, but it was not. The water stain and calcium deposit on the bathroom counter were still there. When I pointed it out, they said they can't get it cleaned. I ended up having to buy CLA and cleaned it myself. What's the point of hiring a professional service if I have to do it myself in the end?
When I saw my bill, I got charged for "wet wipe blinds cleaning" but my condo only has curtains. I pointed it out and they never explained. Be aware, they hold your credit card and charge you before you see the invoice that way when there is discrepancy in charge they can just ignore you. Dishonest service!

We had a service from Maids in Blue for move in/out on the 10th of November but we weren't happy at all. A week before we had a cleaning service do a deep cleaning and we were very satisfied but they weren't available . So after trying other cleaning services the Maids in Blue were the only one available on short notice . But we found that a lot of areas were left in worse shape than they started such as the stove which we paid extra to do that had lot of white residue (I have pictures) I suppose from their cleaning products because it wasn't there before. We paid extra for the wall but it seemed they didn't do anything since they were still dirty (also have picture) . We paid for 4 bedrooms but we couldn't see anything done (because the bedrooms were clean) and there was still a large spot in the master bedroom wall. We asked them to clean the kitchen but we couldn't see anything done other than the stove more dirty. In the phone conversation the customer representative asked how many bedrooms (we have 3 bedroom but got charged for 4 bedrooms they said office is the 4th one) but I didn't ask to clean them, I specfially asked to clean the kitchen area, bathrooms and walls only. On the phone the customer rep. said about 2.5 hours but they were here for 2 hours only. They didn't even clean the main floor so we noticed it immediately when we walk in. We ended up clean everything (again) as we will have appointments for "showing" the next morning. The only good thing that they came on time.

Initially I was really pleased with the cleaning services provided by Maids in Blue. It was such a relief just to have some of the pressure removed from balancing a busy work schedule and maintaining a house etc… the ladies that arrived were a bit late but this being a new address, I didn't think it to be an issue – however – what I didn't like, and this is why I've only given them a 3-star rating, is the materials they used to clean with after I specifically made a detailed request with the company AND the fact that something was broken in my home during the cleaning session and they neglected to mention it. It's this lack of communication on their part that I don't trust them enough to hire them again.

Got my mother in laws vacation home cleaned after she let us stay there for a few days. Called up WestMaids, they were the only company who picked up the phone, and they came later that week to clean her home.
They were on time, we went out to lunch, and when we got back the cleaning team was just about done with the cleaning and that was that. House smelled and looked super clean.

I contacted Westmaids to clean my condo for me after I moved. A neighbour let them in. In the process they destroyed my kitchen sink. The cleaner they poured down the sink ate right through the metal and as a result, my realtor had to arrange to have the sink replaced. Please see the photo the plumber sent…this is the shape my place was left in after they left. Completed rusted and destroyed. I was mortified. How many people saw this and how many offers I lost as a result? I contacted Westview as soon as I was made aware, and they have done nothing. I have been waiting about 2 weeks to hear from the owners, but they have yet to contact me. Using Westmaid cost me 3 times what I paid them given the damages that were done.

We have been very happy having our home cleaned regularly by Shen and Amanda from WestMaids. They are very detail oriented and our home is always spotless after they are done. They are also super-friendly and always on time.

Be careful of the non-human touch of the back office with WestMaids. The single cleaner was 3 hours late for the appointment and when she finally showed up, she actually asked me what I wanted done. One of the reasons I was trying them out was they seem to have a solid program with a defined cleaning task list. Ultimately, the cleaner did an okay job of the cleaning.
After responding to the email on how things went I spoke my mind about the time delay and highlighted the cleaner didn't seem to have a standard set of tasks. No one from the company has reached out to respond to me nor to the cancelation of all future services.
If you are looking for more of a personal touch and on-time appointments I would not recommend WestMaids.

Unimpressed. Our appointment was set for 2-3pm Saturday. Cleaner showed up at 2:58. I understand that you have a one hour window but myself and my partner waited in an empty condo for the cleaner to show up. I certainly anticipated that they would come somewhere in between 2 and 3 and not right at the end of the window.
The cleaner asked if they could call or text when they were done with the move out clean. I never received a text.
When we went back to check, the apartment looked relatively clean at first glance. But upon further inspection, we found that the cupboards had not been cleaned, in addition to the microwave and dishwasher. This came as a surprise as I paid for a move out clean. This meant that we spent time cleaning things that I paid for you to clean.
This was disappointing to say the least.

Spent awhile looking for new house cleaners for the occasional booking and heard about these guys through word of mouth. Really glad I did.
First, a great website. Booking was easy, and I was able to just add an oven cleaning with a button. Cut out the awkward conversations about extra duties beyond tidying right there on the site. It's a small feature but really makes a difference.
Their booking schedule was intuitive and they were able to book me right away. They seems to have a lot of capacity and flexibility. I gave them very little notice and they were able accommodate. So great!
The cleaning staff was prompt and polite and they did a fantastic job. Lots of little details and extra efforts that were glazed over by other companies.
I'm very satisfied and will be booking again.

I arranged cleaning service for my elderly sister and things have been going reasonably well with the house looking cleaner than it had looked. Her regular cleaning person does not like to use the vacuum in the house so my sister has bought a new one for her! This week a different cleaning person arrived – she used the vacuum (not the new one) and all the cleaned areas in the house looked visibly much, much better so I'm hoping that this individual could become a regular. She arrived on time and did all that was expected of her in a cheerful and efficient manner in the allotted time.

Our family often works incredibly long tiring days, lots of overtime and have been trying different cleaning services to help us manage our home. The companies before often didn't finish or neglected key items like the rug and I have made critical feedback to those groups with little to no follow up and thus they lost our business. This time we tried WestMaids. When we came home yesterday, our home was spotless and smelled fantastic. I have never had a service pay such attention to detail (the microwave, the towel arrangements, the bath products oriented to face out, the baseboards wiped so well) yet respectful to our personal items with care (and I'm sure it's not easy given the crowdedness of our tiny home). I found out the service was completed by ShayLynn and had to let WestMaids know how much we appreciated her service. It really made us feel she cared for our home. I have been having these cleaners come every two weeks since 2015. We've had a few different staff over the years but they have all been great. There may have been a blip or two but, honestly, every comment or concern was addressed. I let them know, they offer to return and re-do it. I've never taken them up on the offer, I only asked the staff pay attention to that detail next time around. COVID and job loss has messed up my ability to have them come in, despite the fact that I find their fees very affordable. Cannot wait to bring them back. Worth every penny! Attention to detail is amazing. I've even gifted their services to friends who have babies or surgery and they loved the work.

House cleaning is very important to me. Maksym, the owner, is quick to respond and always books us in when I call. Sometimes he sends a text back but either way the communication is always fast. They are very flexible. When booking last time I booked for a busy day I was told, yet the owner still went out of his way to make room for me, which was important as I had not had the home cleaned in a while. The chemicals they use are green and always make the house smells good. The floor is streak free. Invoicing is done a couple days later usually and they don't take cash, which is a sign of a good operation. I will be booking a new clean in 4 weeks or so again.

I've been through a few cleaning companies in the past. Took some time off and had the house closed by our live in nanny. Now that the kids are bigger, we are back to looking for a cleaner.
Did some research. Called this company. Fast to communicate over messages. It was good. Booked a in house consultation. When they came over, we had a good meeting, saw the house, and booked a first clean.
Maids arrived about 10 minutes late. What can you do. Very reasonable. Amanda and Jennifer got to work right away. They did all the items on my list, then a few more. I found the faucets were super shiny after they left. I won't lie, I didn't expect them to get under the beds. But they did, and that unique for a cleaning company. The care was above normal.
Found a few small areas that I needed better attention to , and I let the manager know. They had it corrected for the next clean, and the rest is history. Good company and good price.

My girlfriends birthday was coming up and I had no clue what to get her. Then I thought, let have her house cleaned. Did some quick research and decided to try three north clean. Emailed them, and got a quick response. Good. Because I was on a tight deadline. The scheduler ( can't remember her name ) booked me in for the day I needed, with a precise time. Just what I needed. The cleaner and her helper showed up, with a ton of cleaning supplies. I forgot to verify that they would bring their own supplies, so lucky me. The clean went extremely well. I asked for a normal clean, but they did a deep clean, all for the same price. Grout lines, windows, walls, under furniture. The list goes on. Everything was touched and cleaned by this company
They locked up after they were done and put the key in my lock box that I set up. I had to go to work so I'm happy they were able to clean unsupervised. We were very happy, the house looked clean, and smelled amazing. I paid using email money transfer, and was given 15 days to pay, which is fantastic, as I didn't need to have cash on location for the cleaning crew.
Can't wait to hire them to do my house next.

For me, there are three aspects that make up a good cleaning company: quality, price, and communication. To date, Three North Clean has hit all three on the head. We started using them 5 months ago, for biweekly cleaning. My priorities have always been kitchen and floors. In the kitchen, they make everything sparkle. The floors are always spot free and look great, too! Communication with the office is great, and customer service follow up is a bonus. They don't just assume the clean went well, they call to ensure that I'm happy, which is refreshing in today's disconnected society. I prefer they use my cleaning products, and they have no issue doing that. I have homemade cleaning solutions I provide, as I have children who crawl around on the floor all day. The cleaners are professional and always manage to get all the areas clean that my kids little sticky fingers end up making messy
The invoices are sent via email after each clean, and that means I don't have to have money waiting for the cleaners each time. This makes life just that much more simple for me.
A few times they were late for the clean, but overall, minor issue.

Services started out average. Within a few weeks the cleaners stopped arriving on time. Further, I made a specific request that the same cleaners work each cleaning because It was the home of a 90year old family member living alone, as it is hard on an elderly person to let a brand new person into the home every two weeks. I felt more comfortable if it was the same cleaners- which I specifically told the owner, and that did not last either. Multiple times new people arrived with zero or little warning.
After 6 months of loyalty and being patient, they suddenly do not make any effort to get back to you in a timely manner. I've tried several times today, (starting at 730am). At one point I received a text from them saying "I'll call you right back" WHILE MY CALL WAS STILL RINGING- at 3pm. (Still no call back by 5)
I'm quite sure if I was a new client requesting information I would've heard back within the hour. Trust me- you can find a much better cleaner in this city! And for a much better price. Incredibly, incredibly disappointed.
