I spoke with Lindsey about a bi-weekly cleaning of our home. She explained that on the first visit she does a deep cleaning. Lindsey did a good job cleaning, but it is not what I call a deep cleaning. In my opinion, the price she charged was too high for the work that was completed. To me, during a deep clean, the furniture and items on tables are moved, shelves and pictures get dusted, etc. None of this was done. Additionally, simple items were left unattended – a bathroom mirror, stairs, bathroom countertops, etc. On the positive side, Lindsey was punctual, hard-working and personable. She did an outstanding job cleaning the kitchen cabinets and the house smells great!

I am so disappointed that I paid money and then tipped a very large tip for a move out clean that didn't take place. I just received photos of my home and the lack of cleaning that took place. This review is long overdue and baybay let me tell YOU! I hired Miss Janice in October 2019 to clean a house I had just moved into with four children. The former owners did not clean the house, they did a sweep and sway. They hadn't even cleaned out all their kitchen drawers of actual items. The ovens had not been cleaned and the house just needed a total deep clean. So I looked up and read every service on Yelp. I messaged a few, including Miss Janice. My first interaction with her was professional. She asked me the size of the home and what exactly I needed done. I explained EVERYTHING to her and she gave me a quote in the Yelp messages. I was very impressed by her attention to all detail. She even let me know that 'baby that is a big house. I will do my best for you and we will come to an agreement about the rate for your next clean after the first one.' Can't be more fair than that!
So she arrives as promised promptly at 8am! She is ringing the doorbell and letting me know that she has all she needs in her supplies and no she does not need anything to drink. She has a job to do! We do a walk thorough walk through and she questions me again about what I would like done. She also makes suggestions about how to keep everything smelling good and nice and neat. My girl for sure. I leave her to what she needs to do and go to my office to work.
Four hours later Miss Janice comes to my office to let me know she is done and we need to walk through. As we do she explains what she did and insures that it is too my satisfaction. Yes ma'am all the way!! Miss Janice not only cleaned my house, she made it smell and feel like a home. She wiped down everything and had my kitchen up to par with chef status.
Miss Janice is my permanent service. She comes one per week and she does a fantastic job by deep cleaning every time she comes. She also got the house tip top ready for showing and move out and I cannot be more excited that I can now recommend her to my Yelp community and to the world of women and men that require a meticulous home. Janice responded quickly with a great deal, and I really appreciated being able to get an appointment the next business day. She was very nice and accommodating to my requests. She arrived on time with all her equipment and cleaning supplies and set to work right away. She worked diligently and left my apartment looking nice.
Unfortunately for her, I'm a super meticulous person and saw some crumbs that she missed. I pointed them out, and she happily went over those areas again. I can't believe I'm actually writing a bad review here. I hired Janice for my mom's house after seeing her 5-star reviews on Yelp. Mom is post-op and can't keep up with cleaning as well as she'd like.
Janice is very nice and responds in a timely manner, but unfortunately those are the only positive comments that I have.
All we needed her to do was clean the bathrooms, thoroughly dust the furniture, and sweep and mop the main floor. To say that she does not pay attention to detail would be putting it kindly. My mom and I are very meticulous so I understand if it was just the details but she actually missed some of the big obvious things too. After she left, I actually had to go over everything she had done. I had to reclean the mirrors in the bathrooms, sweep and mop the bathrooms, wipe down the faucets which she completely forgot to clean, dust the furniture in the living room, and sweep the entire main floor again.
when I hired her I told her that if we were happy with her service we would have her come back monthly to help with the upkeep at Mom's house. Unfortunately she will not be coming back. And if the poor cleaning job was not bad enough, She actually had the audacity to tell my mother that she needed to remodel her bathroom.
I'm not happy about writing a poor review, but sadly, I am very disappointed.

I was extremely disappointed in the quality of their service. I had to continually call after each cleaning. While they very polite, they made excuses for their staff and I did not see any improvements. I finally had to cancel & was hit with a large fee. I would NEVER recommend them to anyone. I spoke with the same office manager/supervisor many times explaining what the issues were. I took photos. I left yellow sticky notes on areas that needed attention. I supplied my own cleaning supplies. Supervisors did did a walk thru behind the crew. I spoke with that same person immediately before the final appointment. At that time she asked if I wanted to cancel the service. I indicated that I did not want to cancel, I would just like then to clean the specific items we JUST talked about. I came home after that appointment. My husband actually laughed. That is when I cancelled the contract.

Very dissatisfied with services. I was never told that A maid could stay here only two hours. No one can properly clean a house in 2 hours. All the maids that were sent out could have done the job if they didn't have to run out in just 2 hours. I found that many of the services listed were never touched. Shelves never dusted, table and chairs not cleaned under, refrigerator not wiped off, backsplash left with food splashes still on them. In all the visits the cabinets were maybe wiped off once.
Middle of the floor was the only part of a room ever vacuumed. My woodwork has never been cleaned in the months that I have had the Merry Maid service.
All the maids worked against the clock and more often than not things were left untouched. It took me a number of visits to realize that I was
blaming the maids for things that were not done because they were allotted less time here than was needed to complete the job properly.
I am dismissing the service as of today.

Poor cleaning service. They lied to get me to sign a year contract and then didn't live up to their name. Rude, among other things. They charge a lot more than other services and it is not worth the multiple headaches. I had to complain almost every time and they still said I would have to pay the $208 to cancel even though it was their fault every single time. They are only after the money and don't care about your satisfaction.

POOR SERVICE! I generally do not use these type cleaning "companies"; I prefer to go with individuals that can be referred by someone I know. However someone did this for me while I was unable to clean. First their rates were astronomical in my opinion…. $330 for 2 ladies for 3 hours. My complaint is that these ladies only stayed for 2 hrs and 15 minutes and 1 bathroom was not cleaned. We received no follow up call to see if the service was satisfactory and see if we were interested in an ongoing basis. I called to alert management. The owner of the Aiken area franchise totally took up for her workers and their paperwork. She even hung up on me!! I say stay away from this business.
